The Bonding 4

Now, despite the option that Nichole gave to him, Mr. Arthur Bailey was infuriated as he experienced many butterflies in his stomach. To him, 4 pm meant that she was not planning to come back to Dover that day. Then he mumbled to himself.
'She wanted me to take her to her date. That would not be possible.'
Meanwhile, he was combining his position as the Family Head who must be respected and the potential husband who must protect the woman he loved. Then he asked.
“Why 4 o'clock? What time will we come back to Dover?”
Mrs. Nichole Bailey who was planning to put her beautiful plan to work inquired.
“Do you intend to come back?”
“Why not?”
Now, Mr. Arthur Bailey, who felt that she was over stepping her bounds, responded with a counter question. Then, without waiting for to speak, he proceeded.
“We are leaving by 1 pm. I think that is the best I can do for the two of you.”
He thundered with a tone of finality, which he believed that she must accept without further argument.
“But you said…”
“Good night, Nichole.”
(Cut)
Nichole looked at her phone after he cut. She wanted to remind him of his request, 'Don't keep me waiting for too long. I love you so much…but he did not wait for her to do that. She dried the tears that tickled down her cheeks and continued with her beautiful idea. Mr. Arthur Bailey who was distraught slept off after he had made his position known to her.
The next day, Mr. Arthur Bailey and Louis woke up and left for work. While in the office, he could not concentrate on his work because the thought that Nichole was preparing to meet another man, and he was going to take her there, disgusted him. Then, they got off work early and drove to her apartment to pick her up at 12 o'clock. Louis got off the car and walked to her apartment to fetch her.
“Wow! Mom, you look beautiful.”
“Thank you, son. You can take my suitcase to the car. I will join you soon.”
She ordered, pointing at her briefcase that was on the center table.
“All right, Mom.”
Louis picked it and walked back to the car, jubilant. His father's countenance changed as soon as he saw the suitcase, but Louis was more interested in getting the mom's suitcase and the joy that he was returning to Sevenoaks with his parents than noticing his father's change of mood. Then, Mrs. Nichole Bailey walked out of her house, looking so beautiful.
She was putting on fitted jeans and body hug turtleneck, which was white. She had a pink muffler scarf around her neck which complimented her accessories. Her joggers were white but had pink stripes. She allowed her long hair to drop to her shoulders. Her makeup was beautiful and modest. That was the kind of dressing that Mr. Arthur Bailey requested for the day they were to take Julie to the airport. Now, Louis suggested.
“Mom, let's take a selfie.”
“Oh! Sure.”
Louis posed with his Mom for a selfie and afterwards posted it on the family chat group with the tag.
(My Beautiful and Loving Mom.)
Now, she joined Arthur at the back seat after Louis had gotten into the car and scented the air. There were two thoughts going on in Mr. Arthur Bailey's mind. One, to take her to his bedroom, give her a passionate kiss and bed her. And two, to cancel the trip completely, but unfortunately, he had no power to do any of them. Now, Louis was already behind the wheels ready to move while she was already seated right beside him.
“Good day, Arthur. Did I keep you waiting?”
Nichole greeted with much enthusiasm. Mr. Bailey responded even though he did not wish.
“Good day, Nichole. No, you did not keep me waiting.”
“Can we go?”
Louis asked as he turned on his ignition.
“Yes. Let's go.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey responded, not wishing to give Nichole any compliment. Then, Louis drove off. He joyously looked at the rear mirror and saw his radiating Mom.
“Mom, you are dressed as though you have a date with a Prince Charming.”
He joked. Nichole cackled with excitement and responded.
“Yes, son. You're right.”
They laughed heartily. Mr. Arthur Bailey was indifferent, he did not laugh nor smile. The children grew up to know him as a loving father who talked less but cared and loved so much. Louis was not expecting him to give his mom a compliment, but he knew he was pleased with her looks. When he saw the pictures on the family chat group, he was happy and smiled inwardly. He downloaded it and began to admire instead of looking at Nichole, who was sitting beside him.
However, the picture on the group chat made Julie happy when she saw it, and she commented.
(Beautiful mom and handsome son.)
Mr. Arthur Bailey saw the comment and waited for Freya's comment. Meanwhile, the picture gave Freya concern as she called her husband's attention to the post by forwarding the selfie to him. The husband, who became worried, called her immediately and asked.
“Where is she going?”
“I would not know unless I ask Louis.”
“Then, comment on the group too and ask MOM, WHERE IS FATHER?”
Freya did what her partner in matchmaking advised.
(Mom, where is father?)
Mr. Arthur Bailey was shocked when he saw Freya's post and at the same time pleased because he felt important and loved at once.
Julie, then, commented again.
(Mom, I'm jealous. You did not dress like this the day you took me to the airport.)
Now, Freya responded to Julie's post.
(Good to know that. How did she dress, Julie?)
(Father said she dressed like an abducted beggar.)
They sent laughter emojis, and Mr. Arthur Bailey continued to laugh inwardly. The chatting from the daughters helped him to maintain his cool until they got to Sevenoaks.
Incidentally, it was only Freya and Julie who were chatting. Louis was driving, Denise was still enjoying his honeymoon and Mrs. Nichole Bailey was watching a film with her phone, ignoring the disorganized man by her side
However, they arrived at Sevenoaks after one hour twenty minutes. Louis drove into his compound with new vigor, unlike when he left a few weeks ago, and his domestic staff members were pleased to see him.
“Father and mom are here.”
He announced to his staff members as he got off the car to open the doors for his parents.
“Welcome Mr. Bailey. Good to see you.”
“Welcome Mrs. Bailey. Good to see you.”
The staff members greeted one after the other.
“Father, Mom, meet Fred and Tony, my staff members.”
“Good to see you, Fred and Tony.”
He walked his parents into the house excitedly.
“Welcome Mom. Welcome, father. Please take your seat."
“Thank you, Louis. Your house is fine.”
Mr. Bailey commanded.
“Thank you, father, this is your first visit to my house. Mom had visited many times.”
“I see.”
They took their seats and Louis turned on the television before he excused himself.
“Make yourself comfortable. I will be back.”
Mr. Arthur Bailey took a seat on a double seat couch hoping that Nichole would sit on the couch opposite him, but to his vexation, she sat beside him.
