The Reversed Result

When Leon got to the notice board stand, he was astounded because he could not even get close to the notice board. The population of the students there occupied about two kilometers radius from his spot.
“What? Who can withstand this?”
He exclaimed and walked back to the vendor's stand. To his dismay, Jeff was still standing at the same spot he left him.
“Let's go to the classroom. We can always come back after the first lecture.”
Leon suggested. Jeff, who was already exhausted, agreed at once.
“You are right.”
Likewise, they set out to walk to the class, and suddenly, a masked power biker appeared before them with two newspapers. The students were stunned, but Leon and Jeff knew better.
“Good morning, young boss. The boss said you can have these.”
“Thank you. Next time, give us a call, we can always meet you at the car park. You can leave.”
“It is all right, boss.”
He greeted and took his leave with his dual purpose power bike. In less than ten minutes, he was back to the Industrial Complex.
Now, they took a look at the papers. The front page was stunning and he was glad. At least his picture was not there.
“I will have to sit down and read this.”
“You're right, Jeff. I will do the same.”
Afterwards, they returned to their different classes bearing their papers in hand. Now, Jeff got into an empty hall and settled down to read his paper. The headline was of interest to him as well as every student of the Eagles City University.
(FIVE STUDENTS WERE EXPELLED. NEW BEST STUDENT EMERGED)
Nevertheless, his face beamed with a smile as he read the details. Shortly, he felt a strange presence in the gallery. Before he could look up, he felt a hand grab his neck, but he was more prepared than his assailants. He gave him an elbow kick, and he floundered.
“What do you think you are doing?”
Jeff yelled at the man who was on the floor and writhing in pains. Then, he stood up, and positioned himself for battle before the strange figure at the gallery could jump down, but he never did. Now, his attacker, who was on the floor, had fled. At this point, his security guards showed and declared.
“Young Master, don't bother, we have taken care of them.”
“Who are they?”
“I don't think they are students. They were more than two anyway.”
“Good job. Thank you.”
“You're welcome, Young Master.”
Before the school securities, who heard gunshots, arrived, Jeff's security guards had disappeared. They met Jeff reading peacefully, but he jolted when he remembered Leon. He picked his stuff and headed towards his class. Fortunately, he met him walking towards him at the verandah of his class with smiles, and he breathed easy.
“Congratulations, Jeff. You made it.”
Jeff covered up all his anxieties and smiled too.
“Thank you, Leon.”
At that time, his phone began to buzz with calls and messages alert from his family members and friends.
Ding!
(Congratulations, son. I'm proud of you).
His mom was not left out.
(Congratulations son, I know you will make me proud).
His sister, Jewel, congratulated him too.
(Big bro. Keep up the good work. I'm proud to be your kid sister).
He lifted his face and looked at Leon who was watching him as he read his messages and smiled.
“Messages from Jewel and my parents.”
“Oh! Jewel. You have to control the sound of your phone. I will leave now.”
He said as he began to walk back to his class. Jeff walked along with him too.
“Yes. You're right. I will leave too. I'm going back to my class.”
“All right. See you later.”
By the time they got back to their classes, the other students had settled down. Jeff settled down too and Sidney who was all smiles said.
“Jeff, I like your guts. You claimed back what rightly was yours. Congratulations.”
“Thank you, Sidney. I appreciate.”
Others praised and congratulated him too, especially the boy who rode on his coattail and got into the class the previous day
“Congratulations, you have made our department proud.”
The lecturer for the first lecture, Prof. Wood, walked in with his chin raised in accomplishment and filled with disproportionate self-esteem because he was the lecturer of the best student.
“Good morning class.”
He greeted with a sense of fulfillment, casting a glance at Jeff.
“Good morning, Prof. Wood.”
"I appreciate you all for making us proud as lecturers. It means our efforts in ensuring you're the best paid off. You are all the best.
“Thank you, Prof.”
“Put your hands together for yourselves.”
(Clap. Clap. Clap.)
They cheerfully clapped for themselves with a sense of accomplishment. Prof. Wood was a wise man. He felt it would be better not to make the other students feel inferior, which may lead to creating unnecessary rivalries for Jeff. He tactfully broached the subject.
“I think someone deserves a bigger clap. Or what do you think?”
The class chorused with excitement and a standing ovation.
“Yes. Jeff deserves a bigger clap.”
“He made us proud.”
“Thank you, Jeff.”
Meanwhile, Jeff was not prepared for this. He rested his head on the desk. After a while, as if he got some courage from that, He raised his head and looked at the lecturer, who was already standing in front of him.
“Can you please be upstanding, Jeff?”
Prof. Wood requested.
Now, Jeff, who was looking older than his real age, was taller than the lecturer by two inches. He stood up and bent his head. Then, Prof. Wood continued.
“Jeff, on behalf of the Accountancy Department, and the entire Eagles City University, I say congratulations.”
Likewise, Jeff took the accolades with delight.
“I'm very delighted and humbled, Prof. Wood. Thank you so much for your selfless efforts in ensuring that we all succeed.”
Then, he turned and faced his fellow students and commended.
“My fellow students, I wish to thank you. As you are aware, it is our success. We are all succeeding together. Thank you for making the environment conducive for learning.”
