Chapter 101: Young but Fierce

Henry motioned for Vanessa to go about her business, then gestured for Sean to sit on the sofa, along with Brandon, Jonathan, and Daniel.

He straightforwardly told Sean that he was now the owner of the Violet Bar, and Brandon was the vice president. If Sean was willing, he could stay on as security, with the same pay as before.

Brandon felt uneasy. He had been Justin's subordinate, and Justin had taken pride in knowing Sean. Now, he was suddenly the vice president, and keeping Sean on as security felt awkward.

Jonathan and Daniel were also confused, wondering what their roles would be if Sean stayed.

Sean was stunned. He knew Charles's shares were now Henry's, but he hadn't expected Henry to oust Erick entirely. He had one question: What was Henry's background? If dealing with Charles was about not fearing death, how did he handle Erick?

After a moment, Sean said, "Thank you, but Henry is my boss. I have to follow him."

Henry smiled, "Do you think Charles will come back for revenge, or do you look down on us, thinking following Justin's former subordinate is beneath you?"

Sean said, "As the saying goes, heroes emerge from youth. From your attitude, I can see you're destined for great things. I don't look down on you. As for Charles, it's not my concern. But in this line of work, you need principles. Since I acknowledged Henry as my boss, I'll stay loyal as long as he's in the game. Now that he's injured and hospitalized, following you would be wrong."

Henry nodded, "What you say makes sense. The reason I hope you stay is twofold. Firstly, you've been overseeing this place for years without major incidents, and many things are second nature to you. Secondly, you've always treated Isabelle like a sister, so we've developed a certain rapport. Thirdly, I see that you truly have a sense of loyalty and integrity, maintaining a moral compass while cherishing your own dignity.

If you're not willing, I won't force you. Later, you can handle the finances, and if you ever decide to return, you'll be welcomed at any time."

"Thank you!" Sean said, getting up immediately and walking out.

"Henry," Brandon asked incredulously after Sean left, "Does the Violet Bar really belong to us?"

Henry chuckled, "Of course. Do you think I'm so unreliable that I'd treat you like a Sunday service just by touching my upper lip to my lower lip? However, the current situation is a bit complex. Whether it's Charles, Erick, or other shareholders, they probably won't give up easily. So, outwardly, the bar is solely mine for now. After this matter settles, we can discuss ownership among ourselves."

Brandon inquired, "Could you elaborate on what's going on?"

"I have to step out for a bit," Henry said. "I just announced your position in front of Vanessa, the CFO I appointed. You can consult her to get a comprehensive understanding of the situation. Regardless, as long as the bar remains in my hands, you need to take extra care and ensure its smooth operation."

Brandon nodded, "That's essential!"

"Henry," Jonathan expressed some dissatisfaction, "Why did you favor Sean earlier? Do you think Daniel and I are incapable?"

Henry smiled, "What are you thinking? How could a mere bar tie down all of us brothers? Brandon will handle the operations here alone. You two shouldn't expect to oversee the place for fun. Stick by my side for important tasks. As for overseeing the place, do you really need to handle it personally?"

Upon hearing this, Jonathan and Daniel understood and exchanged a smile.

"By the way," Henry continued, "Charles's situation isn't completely settled yet. Next, we'll have to deal with other major gang leaders. We might be living on the edge every day, constantly facing death. Are you prepared for that?"

Jonathan retorted, "Do you still doubt us, Henry?"

Daniel assured, "Don't worry, Henry. Wherever you point, we'll strike!"

"Then let's not waste any more time," Henry stood up. "Follow me!"

"Hey, Henry," Brandon asked, "Are you planning to leave me here alone?"

Henry quipped, "Otherwise, should I leave Jonathan and Daniel here while you go out armed with two pistols?"

Brandon explained, "That's not what I meant. I feel completely in the dark right now, not knowing what to do or how to do it."

Henry advised, "First, get the details from Vanessa, then consider how to manage. Also, here's a principle for you: we will gradually change the style of the Violet Bar. No more hostesses or aristocratic airs; sweep them all out. We need to run a legitimate business from now on."

Brandon nodded, "I understand."

As the time approached, Henry, accompanied by Jonathan and Daniel, stepped out of the bar's entrance. While waiting for a taxi by the roadside, a police car pulled up in front of them.

After rolling down the window, Ella looked at Henry and said, "Get in. There are some things I'd like to discuss with you."

Seeing this, Jonathan and Daniel instinctively moved to stand on either side of Henry, blocking Ella.

Henry reassured them with a pat on their waists, "It's fine. You two go to the Royal Café and wait for me at a booth. I'll join you shortly."

After Jonathan and Daniel separated, Henry walked over and directly opened the passenger door, taking a seat.

Ella disdainfully glanced at Jonathan and Daniel, started the car, and soon disappeared down the road.

"Where to?" Ella asked.

With a puzzled expression, Henry replied, "Didn't you ask me to get in the car to discuss something with me?"
