Chapter 179: How Did He Know
Henry left the underground fighting ring and returned to the car.
Victoria hadn't heard any noise and saw that Henry didn't look like he'd been in a fight, so she looked at him curiously.
This was her strength; no matter how curious she was, she wouldn't ask immediately.
She knew that men hated talkative women.
If Henry wanted to tell her something, he would say it without being asked.
If he didn't, he didn't want to tell her.
Henry didn't ask Victoria to start the car but leaned back and closed his eyes.
Victoria knew he was thinking, so she didn't start the car or speak, just sat quietly.
Henry's hand suddenly moved to her chest.
Victoria shifted closer to make it easier for him to touch both sides of her chest.
Henry used to think quickly, making decisions in seconds by staring into space.
Now it was different.
Having enjoyed touching Victoria's chest earlier, with her sitting beside him and her scent filling the car, he naturally reached out.
It was both touching and playing.
It felt good, while he compared it to Isabelle's chest and imagined Ruby, Avery, and Emily.
In the end, his mind was mostly on Emily.
As he touched, he said, "Tristan and Gavin aren't here. This is their base, and they called Erick today, showing they're planning against me.
Not being here means they're avoiding me, fearing I know it's them, so they hide."
Victoria asked, "What will you do?"
"Of course, scare them!" Henry said, "I called Tristan, hinting I was after him.
He didn't deny it but said he was at the federal level, showing they haven't planned yet.
I gave him three days. These three days are his deadline to attack or meet me. I'm thinking how he'll appear before me."
Victoria said, "By now, he won't meet you face-to-face, only attack. Be careful."
"Oh, why do you say that?"
Victoria explained, "He knows how strong you are. Unless today's killer wasn't his, he wouldn't offer himself.
This time, they'll aim to kill or cripple you before Tristan shows up. Otherwise, he'll hide like Samuel."
"Right!"
Henry squeezed hard, making Victoria wince but stay silent.
"Let's go back!" Henry said, pulling his hand away.
Victoria started the car and asked, "Should I call Ruby out?"
As an experienced driver, Victoria knew Henry wanted a woman.
Henry smiled, "No need. She needs a few days to recover."
"True," Victoria smiled, "I was scared to death, afraid you'd shoot Ryan."
Henry smirked, "You think I was bluffing Ryan? I didn't know if I'd shoot."
If anyone else said that, who'd believe it?
From Henry, Victoria believed it!
Leaving the amusement park, Victoria sped up, but Henry told her to slow down.
Henry wanted to see the scenery on both sides of the road, as it was his first time in the eastern suburbs.
Near the city, Henry saw a public place and asked Victoria to stop.
As soon as she stopped, Henry got out and walked to the car behind, stopping an SUV.
The SUV had four people, including the driver.
The driver stopped, and the front passenger lowered the window, asking, "What's up?"
Henry punched his nose, blood splattering.
The driver tried to start the car, but Henry pulled out his Desert Eagle, making him raise his hands, "What do you want? We didn't do anything."
"Get out!"
The four got out.
"Kneel!"
They knelt.
Henry kicked each in the chest, making them cry out in pain.
Henry pointed the Desert Eagle at the front passenger's temple, "Where's Tristan?"
"I don't know. Gavin told us to follow you."
Henry, expressionless, said, "Tell Gavin I'll skin him! And Tristan, he better meet me, or I'll tear him apart!"
Without waiting for a reply, Henry walked back to Victoria's car.
After he left, the four helped each other into the car.
The front passenger called Gavin, saying Henry found them and broke his nose, and all four might have broken ribs.
Gavin was stunned, "How did he find you? Were you too close?"
The man shook his head, "We followed from a distance and didn't follow from the amusement park.
We followed from an intersection outside the eastern suburbs, only three to five kilometers. He suddenly stopped, walked to our car, and broke my nose."
Gavin asked, "Then what? He wouldn't just hit you and leave. Did he ask something you didn't resist?"
The man shook his head, "After hitting me, he asked where Tristan was. I wondered how he knew we were Tristan's men.
He pointed his gun at my head. I said I didn't know, but he left a message for you and Tristan."
"What?"
"He said he'd skin you and Tristan should meet him, or he'll tear him apart."
"Damn!" Gavin spat, "Go to the hospital. I'll send money there."
Then Gavin called Tristan.
Tristan was shocked and asked, "Who told you to act on your own?"
