Chapter 67: Dare to Oppose Me?
"What idea?" Henry asked.
Brandon explained, "Charles always gathers his men at the Violet Bar to plan before a fight.
We can ambush them at the bar, attacking when they leave.
If we capture Charles, the others won't dare move."
Jonathan and Daniel agreed, "Great idea!"
Henry shook his head, "We agreed on 8 PM at the southern suburb factory. Attacking at the bar is unfair.
If we do that, we might as well kill Charles at his home now."
Daniel said, "That's an even better idea."
"No," Jonathan said. "We're not hitmen. We're following Henry to make a name, not to hit and run.
To establish ourselves in Harbor Springs, we must defeat them on site.
Subduing Charles publicly will command respect."
Henry thought and said, "Brandon's idea reminds me we can use strategy.
Brandon, Jonathan, and Daniel looked at Henry.
Henry explained, "We can't attack early, but we can delay. When Charles arrives, we don't act.
When they think we're scared and leave, we ambush them on the way back.
This way, we have a chance without breaking the rules."
Brandon, Jonathan, and Daniel agreed.
They planned to take a taxi, but Henry had them rent electric bikes to ride to the southern suburbs.
As Brandon said, Charles gathered his men to plan before a fight.
But this time, they met at the hospital in Henry and Zack's ward.
Charles did this to show his brothers he'd avenge them.
Seeing Charles personally lead the fight, Henry and Zack felt grateful and guilty.
"Charles," Henry sighed, "You're a big boss now, still fighting for us. I, Henry..."
Zack interrupted, "Charles, it's my fault. If I hadn't sent Sean to his family, he wouldn't be so ruthless.
My jaw was shot, but my limbs are fine. Give me a gun, I'll go with you and kill that kid!
I'll take the blame or do life in prison!"
Charles laughed, "Even if I agree, the others won't. Am I so weak that you're my only fighting brother?"
This comforted Zack and motivated the others.
They reassured Henry and Zack they'd kill Henry and not let Charles take the blame.
Considering Sean and his injured brothers, Charles brought nearly 80 men but left Sean behind.
He needed Sean to watch the bar while they were gone.
Henry said, "Henry's tough but not reckless. Zack and I fell for his tricks, showing he's strategic.
He knows we outnumber him, so I doubt he'll wait at the factory."
Charles smiled, "I agree, but I think he'll follow the rules and wait at the factory."
Henry shook his head, "He's cunning and deep. Charles, be careful. He might ambush us on the way."
"Right," Zack said. "Remember when we first came to Harbor Springs and ambushed the three young masters on their way back?
He might do the same."
Henry added, "Charles, be especially careful on the way there and back, and when getting in and out of the car."
Zack also reminded the others to protect Charles when getting in and out of the car.
