Chapter 143: Get Out!
Seeing his men, all burly and seasoned fighters from underground boxing rings, Erick felt reassured. These men, having fought for their lives, were far superior to ordinary thugs, easily capable of taking on ten men each.
Erick said no more. After a while, he told Tristan, "Henry is a rural guy who spent years in prison. He's not afraid of anything. If you just injure him, he'll come back for revenge. It's best to kill him, or we'll have more trouble. Charles suffered because of this."
Tristan told the lead fighter, "Take the other card too. If you eliminate him, keep the card. I'll handle the rest."
In their world, the price for killing was different from a beating. Without connections, a million to kill someone was rare. But Tristan's backing and the money made it worth it. They had made good money under Tristan and saw Harbor Springs as a future base.
With Erick and Tristan's support, the lead fighter took the second card, preparing to leave Harbor Springs. They even bought train tickets for 1 PM, arriving at the Violet Bar at 10 AM.
As Sean finished speaking, Henry strode inside, followed by Jonathan and Daniel. Brandon, Sean, and his men followed. Victoria hurried ahead, introducing Henry to the lead fighter.
Victoria hoped her introduction would defuse the situation, but the fighters were there to kill Henry. The lead fighter looked at Henry, finding him young and slender, and asked, "Are you Henry?"
Henry nodded.
Before he could speak, two fighters lunged at him, expecting to knock him down with a punch. Everyone was shocked at their sudden attack. Jonathan and Daniel, remembering Henry's instructions, drew their guns and shot the fighters in the shoulders.
The fighters screamed, falling to the ground. Jonathan and Daniel rushed forward, shoving their gun barrels into the fighters' mouths, ready to shoot again if they screamed. The fighters, in pain, could only stare in fear.
The lead fighter, experienced, stepped back, drawing his gun. But before he could fire, Henry had already drawn his Desert Eagle, pressing it to his forehead, saying, "Die!"
Everyone was stunned. Henry's murderous gaze terrified the lead fighter.
"Wait, brother, let's talk!" he stammered. "I'm just doing a job."
Henry took his gun, turning to the other four fighters, who trembled under his gaze. They recognized Henry as the man who had beaten them on the pedestrian street. They had kept quiet, hoping to avoid his wrath.
Henry turned back to the lead fighter, "Erick went to Tristan, and Tristan sent you?"
The lead fighter nodded, "Yes."
"How much?"
"Two cards, a million."
"Where are they?"
The lead fighter handed over the cards. Henry took one, "Use the other for your medical bills."
Then he shot the lead fighter in the shoulder. Screaming, the fighter ran out, clutching his wound. Jonathan and Daniel pulled their guns from the other fighters' mouths, who scrambled after their leader. The remaining four fighters, terrified, slowly backed away, fleeing as soon as they reached the door.
