Chapter 108: Could She Be My Sister?

Henry grabbed Ella's wrist, leaned towards her, and with a swift motion, twisted her wrist to the right in sync with her movement.

With a "snap," Ella's elbow dislocated.

"Ah—" Ella screamed in pain.

Dressed in her uniform, Ella looked dashing and spirited. Despite her good looks and aura, her profession often made people see her as a bit of a tomboy.

Her scream, however, was high-pitched and delicate, revealing a softer, more feminine side.

Henry was momentarily stunned.

Ella, now leaning against Henry's chest, furrowed her brows and glared at him angrily.

They were so close that Henry could feel her breath on his face.

If he lowered his head just a bit, he could kiss her lips.

Henry shifted slightly, as if he was about to kiss her, which made Ella panic. She turned her head sharply and angrily asked, "What are you trying to do?"

Henry straightened up and let go of her hand. Ella quickly sat up straight, but her elbow throbbed with pain.

The pain was nothing to her, but Henry's earlier movement, as if he was going to kiss her, had genuinely scared her.

Henry's lips curled into a slight smile as he teased, "Who taught you your fighting skills? Attacking someone and ending up dislocating your own elbow?"

"Bastard!" Ella glared at him, unable to find the right words to retort. She could only question, "What do you mean by saying I flirt with every man?"

Henry replied, "If you had nothing to do with Erick, your photo wouldn't be on his desk, right? And in public, you were with Bryan..."

"Bryan is my brother!" Ella interrupted angrily. "As for Erick, he put that picture on his desk without my permission. Is that my fault? By your logic, should all celebrities whose photos are put up by their fans be responsible for those fans' fantasies?"

Wait, she's Bryan's sister?

So, she's also the daughter of Cole from The Davis Family Group?

If that's the case, she wouldn't be with Erick for money. Could it be that she really has nothing to do with Erick?

But that doesn't make sense.

She's not a celebrity. Where did Erick get her photo in uniform?

Ella seemed to read Henry's thoughts and glared at him, "What are you looking at? Can't you see the resemblance between me and my brother?"

Henry scrutinized her closely. They did look remarkably alike. At the same time, Henry remembered the owner of the red sports car, the noblewoman who also bore some resemblance to the siblings.

Could it be that the noblewoman is Cole's wife, and she is Bryan and Ella's mother?

If Henry's foster mother remembered correctly, Cole's wife could be his biological mother!

Which means Bryan might be his brother, and Ella his sister!

But no, if we were truly siblings, why do they look so similar, and I don't?

Maybe they take after their mother, and I take after my father. Could it be that Cole looks like me?

Still, it doesn't add up. If Cole and his wife were my parents and they already had a son and a daughter, with their wealth, they wouldn't have abandoned me!

Unless...

Henry dared not think further.

If Cole and his wife were indeed his parents and he was abandoned by his mother, there could only be one reason: his mother had an affair, and his biological father wasn't Cole!

Henry's mind was in turmoil.

"Hey, what are you thinking about?" Ella asked loudly, seeing Henry lost in thought.

Thinking that Ella might be his sister, Henry's attitude softened considerably.

Though he didn't respond, his expression became much gentler.

Ella continued, "As for Erick, he has an aunt and uncle who are federal leaders. Erick once tried to pursue me, but I rejected him outright. He then approached his uncle and aunt, who called our police department's leaders and even state leaders. Both the state and police leaders spoke to my foster parents. Because of this, I moved out of my home and haven't gone back for over a year."

After saying this, Ella winced, not from the pain in her elbow, but to hide her emotions. She couldn't understand why she felt the need to explain all this to Henry, a young man.

Henry looked at Ella with a gentle gaze and asked, "Is your elbow very painful? Let me try to fix it."

The first time Ella met Henry, she was deeply impressed by his cold and resolute eyes, even thinking he might be a retired soldier.

Seeing warmth in his eyes now, her heart inexplicably fluttered.

Ella's cheeks reddened slightly. After hesitating, she extended her hand.

With a "click," as soon as Ella's hand reached Henry, he held her elbow with one hand and her palm with the other.

Ella expected Henry to gently massage and ask her to relax, but he fixed her elbow in one swift motion.

"Ah—" Ella screamed again, but then realized her elbow was fine.

Her expression shifted from disbelief to anger. She punched Henry in the chest with her other hand, "You brat! Why didn't you fix it earlier? I was in pain for so long!"

This was typical flirting!

But Henry, concerned she might be his sister, had changed his attitude towards Ella fundamentally. Otherwise, he would have teased her again.

Ella realized Henry's martial arts skills were formidable. She expected him to block or dodge her punch, but he took it head-on.

With a "thump," Ella was startled and quickly asked, "Are you okay?"

Henry smiled sincerely, "I'm fine."

Ella thought Henry would take the opportunity to tease her, but his genuine expression puzzled her.

Could it be that after learning she had no relationship with Erick and that Bryan was her brother, he really intended to pursue her?

If this guy isn't a fool, he's definitely crazy!

At that moment, she remembered Henry was an ex-convict. No matter how rich he was, his feelings for her were just wishful thinking.

She seemed to forget that her behavior in front of Henry could easily mislead him and make him fantasize.

"Hey," Ella suddenly asked seriously, "Where's your gun? Were those two guys I met in the café your accomplices?"

Henry smiled and asked in return, "I just got out of prison. Where would I get a gun?"
