Chapter 57: Why Not Call the Police?

Isabelle got up to clean the chamber pot in the bathroom and was about to leave when Henry, with a mischievous grin, asked her to stay.
Pouting, Isabelle sat on the chair beside him and asked, "Be honest, did you take advantage of me last night?"
"How could I?" Henry countered. "You’re an adult. Wouldn't you know if I had?"
"I was dazed from your beating during the day, drank too much in the evening, and slept deeply after coming to the hospital so late."
Henry chuckled, "I'm sorry, it's all my fault. To be honest, I did think about it, but then I touched your sanitary pad..."
"Ah—" Isabelle sprang up, feeling both wronged and shy, and angrily scolded, "You actually touched me there? Tell me, did you grope my whole body?"
Henry smirked, "Hey, it's not like I haven't touched you before. Why so agitated?"
"You scoundrel!"
Isabelle immediately lunged at him, raising her fists, but Henry caught her around the neck with one hand and kissed her directly.
Isabelle struggled briefly, but seeing it was futile, she rolled her eyes and bit Henry's tongue hard.
Henry trembled slightly, and Isabelle quickly let go, afraid of hurting him.
Henry continued kissing her, his hand sliding from her neck to her hips.
Isabelle completely lost her resistance.
Initially intending to hit Henry, she ended up lying on him, enjoying his passionate kiss.
By noon, Jason, Avery, Andrew, and Emily arrived at the hospital to visit.
Seeing them, Isabelle ignored them and walked over to an empty bed near the inner window, looking down at her phone.
Jason was immediately captivated by Isabelle's beauty and figure.
As a forty-year-old man, he was particularly interested in girls like Isabelle, who appeared fair, tender, and slim.
Although his wife Avery was beautiful and sexy enough, the youthful allure of Isabelle was a different flavor entirely for Jason.
To him, none of the girls at school could compare to Isabelle.
Especially her slender legs, making her look like a high school student.
Henry had never seen Jason before, but he noticed Jason's gaze on Isabelle.
He had expected the university vice principal to be a scrawny old man with glasses, and hearing that Erick said he had designs on Emily, he thought Jason would be quite sleazy.
But Jason completely defied Henry's expectations.
If he were twenty years younger, the word "handsome" would definitely apply to Jason!
Despite being forty, his tall and well-built figure looked particularly vibrant, with no excess fat.
Moreover, his thick eyebrows, large eyes, well-defined features, and smooth, radiant skin exuded an extraordinary aura, combining a manly spirit with a touch of elegance.
It was no exaggeration to say he was the type of older man young girls would chase after.
No wonder, despite having a beautiful wife like Avery, he still had his eyes on Emily, and now was staring at Isabelle.
As soon as Avery entered the room, she walked straight to Henry and, with a mix of pain and anger, asked, "Brother, who beat you up like this? That's impossible!"
She had seen Henry beat up several big men before, thinking he was invincible!
Hearing her, Emily felt even worse.
Andrew explained, "There were too many of them. The luxurious suite in the bar was packed with people, there was no room to move.
And they were holding Emily and me hostage. Many of them had watermelon knives, and some even had guns!"
Avery immediately asked, "Where did they get guns? Why didn't you call the police?"
Andrew explained, "There were too many of them at the time. Any movement could have been fatal; there was no chance to call the police."
"What about now?" Seeing Andrew remain silent, Avery took out her phone, "I'll call the district police station. I know the leaders there!"
Hearing she knew the district leaders, who were Bryan's sister Ella's superiors, Isabelle glanced at Avery, put away her phone, and sat there more properly.
"Don't!"
Henry and Jason shouted in unison, then exchanged glances.
Both had wanted to stop Avery, now they both wanted to hear what the other had to say.
So after speaking, neither said anything.
"What's wrong?" Avery asked, puzzled.
Seeing Henry remain silent, Jason explained, "This happened too unexpectedly, I didn't explain it clearly. It happened at Erick's bar."
Hearing it was at Erick's bar, Avery was stunned.
