Chapter 14 Henry Doesn't Buy It.
Emily said, "What I mean is simple. We are a family now, and I can't control what happens in the Jia family village. It's none of my business. But our family must have rules."
Andrew thought to himself, "Do you really intend to let him stay here for the rest of his life?"
If that were the case, the rules of this family would not be set by you, but by him.
Just as Andrew was about to speak, Emily gave him a stern look.
Andrew awkwardly glanced at Henry and forced a smile, not daring to say a word.
He wasn't afraid of Emily.
He was worried that if Emily really got into a conflict with him, and Henry, not getting along, raised his hand and slapped Emily's beautiful face, then it would be a disaster.
Emily also knew that she was taking a big risk by doing this.
Emily understood Henry's mindset. Even if it wasn't for Andrew, but for his own reputation, once she angered him, he would show no mercy.
Emily was taking a gamble!

Henry calmly asked, "What rules do you want to establish?"

Emily said, "There are no other rules, but we need to clarify our relationship. He is your brother, and I am your sister-in-law. From now on, I don't want to hear you addressing your brother by his name."
Henry stared at Emily without saying a word for a long time.
This request was not only reasonable but also expected.

Andrew also didn't expect that Henry had such a strong prejudice against him. Was he really unwilling to even call him "brother"?
But he didn't want this issue to cause a rift between everyone.
Just as Andrew was about to smooth things over, Henry almost word by word said, "Other things are negotiable. This one is not up for discussion!"
After speaking, Henry went straight to the guest room.
Emily was stunned for a moment. Did she really misjudge him? Was he really so disrespectful? Wasn't it just a matter of calling him "brother"?
Andrew was his brother after all!
"Well, if that's the case," Emily seemed a bit angry and also a bit resigned, "then you don't have to stay in this house. This family doesn't welcome you!"
When Andrew reached out to grab Emily's hand, she forcefully shook it off.
Henry slowly turned around. Emily was nervous, but she stood there with a determined look in her eyes, staring at Henry.
Henry said, "I don't want to stay in this house. You made me wait until tomorrow, and tomorrow I will leave. But rest assured, I will leave after taking care of your school and Sean's matters!"
After speaking, he walked straight into the guest room and collapsed on the bed.
For the first time in six years, Henry slept peacefully on a clean and tidy bed, and soon his deep snores filled the room.
Andrew immediately pulled Emily into the master bedroom and closed the door, asking, "What happened today? Why did you force him to do something he didn't want to do?"
Emily retorted, "So are you saying that from now on, when he lives here, he should address us by our names, Andrew and Emily, in front of others?"
"Why rush things?" Andrew sighed. "Despite being tough, he is actually sensible and kind."
"Hmph!" Emily glanced at Andrew and asked, "Does the word 'kind' really suit him?"
Andrew shook his head and said, "The way he is now is all because of the pressure from the people in the village. When he was young, he was obedient and smart. If it weren't for my father's death, he would not only have been able to go to college but would have definitely gotten into a prestigious university. Let me tell you, I guarantee that in a few days, he will call you his sister-in-law. As for me, it doesn't matter anymore."
"What do you mean it doesn't matter? You are his brother!" Emily pondered for a moment and asked, "By the way, why did he commit murder? Can you tell me how your family was bullied back then?"
That was a permanent pain in Andrew's heart, an indelible shadow. The reason he was now behaving in a way that left Emily so helpless in bed was also related to his time in the village, so it was difficult to talk about.
