Chapter 21 This Beauty is So Tempting.

If it were someone else, Emily would have snapped already. This joke is really too much!

The problem is, apart from being best friends, Avery's husband, Jason, is also Emily and Andrew's boss. Besides Andrew's associate professor title, they also want to share a house at the school.

Although they have to buy the house they're dividing, there are certain privileges and treatments that come with it.

And Jason has a significant say in all of this.

Their relationship is so close that Avery knows about the things Andrew is lacking in that department, and she's the one who told Jason.

Her intention was to speak up for Emily, but little did she know that it would ignite Jason's lustful thoughts.

To conceal the turmoil in her own heart, Emily retorted, "Director Bai, they say men are like wolves at thirty and tigers at forty. Are you, at your age, not satisfied with what Jason is doing to you and seeking a change of taste, using me as an excuse?"

Avery glanced at Henry and chuckled, "I wish I had the chance, but I don't."

"Goodness!" Emily shook her head in disbelief. "What's gotten into you today? You dare say anything. Is it because Jason is busy with work, overworked, and hasn't been taking care of you for a long time? Are you feeling lonely?"

Avery leaned in and whispered to Emily, "I don't believe you can tolerate Andrew for a lifetime!"

Emily was left speechless by her retort and could only shake her head with a wry smile.

Emily and Avery were undoubtedly the most beautiful scenery on the street.

Both of them had stunning looks, fair skin like snow, and a perfect blend of charm and elegance. It made Henry unable to look away, even though he tried to keep a composed appearance.

In Henry's eyes, one was an office director, and the other was a university teacher. They must be discussing sophisticated topics, but he never imagined that these two incredibly beautiful women had been talking about themselves all along.

And they were being straightforward about it!

Sitting in the car, Andrew saw Avery, Emily, and Henry approaching together. He quickly opened the door and greeted them with a big smile from a distance, "Hello, Avery!"

Avery, who had just been laughing and joking with Emily, immediately changed her demeanor upon seeing Andrew. She stood tall, raised her chin, straightened her posture, and exuded an aura of a strong woman.

Henry noticed that Avery was truly a captivating woman, full of charm when she laughed and exuding dominance when she put on airs.

Henry imagined himself in a scenario where he was lying on top of Avery, and it gave him a great sense of accomplishment.

"Hello, Andrew!" Avery greeted Andrew politely and then asked, "Why didn't you go shopping with everyone?"

"Oh, I had something to take care of," Andrew replied and then asked, "Why are you shopping alone? Let us give you a ride back home!"

"No, thanks. I drove here," Avery turned her head to glance at Henry and then asked Andrew, "Your brother is much more handsome than you. Did he take after you, or did you take after him?"

Andrew awkwardly smiled and said, "I take after my dad, and he takes after my mom."

"Well, it's a blessing for a man to resemble his mother! Alright, I won't disturb you anymore."

"Avery," Andrew leaned in and whispered to Avery, "Has Jason mentioned anything about my brother to you?"

"No, why?" Avery asked.

"Well," Andrew explained, "My brother was just released from prison. Can you help him find a job? There are many foreign and joint-venture companies in the industrial park. Could you introduce my brother to them?"

No wonder his brother seemed to have a murderous aura. He had just come back from prison.

Avery took another look at Henry and asked, "What crime did he commit? Did he harm a woman?"

"No, no," Andrew explained, "He accidentally disabled someone."

Upon hearing this, Avery was instantly in a dilemma.

A murderer is definitely short-tempered. Who knows when he might go berserk again over something trivial?

If she introduced him to her friends, wouldn't she be putting them in danger?

Andrew noticed Avery's predicament and immediately said, "Avery, I just mentioned it to see if there's a chance. If it's inconvenient, then forget about it."

Avery replied, "I will keep an eye out, but the chances are slim. Most companies wouldn't hire someone with a criminal record."

Even so, Andrew kept thanking Avery.

As Avery was about to walk towards her car, another vehicle happened to stop in front of her car.

"Hey!" Avery ran over and shouted, "Don't park here, I need to get my car out!"

There were four burly men in the car.

They had just stopped temporarily, and one of them was about to get out and buy something from the nearby store.

When the driver heard someone shouting, he was about to move the car forward a bit. The man sitting in the passenger seat turned his head, whistled, and smirked, "This chick is hot!"

Including the driver, everyone in the car turned to look at Avery: Wow, she's really stunning!

The driver immediately understood and turned off the engine.
