Chapter 79: Harbor Springs Has Such a Powerful Person

Henry, Emily, Isabelle, and Andrew reached the door. Isabelle was distracted, feeling the ups and downs in Erick's office.
She didn't know what to say to Henry.
Henry smiled at her, "You're exhausted. Go home with my sister-in-law tonight. I'm fine with a little injury.
Charles is completely dealt with, no more problems."
Isabelle nodded blankly.
Emily opened the car door, "Shall we take you to the hospital?"
"No, it's a short walk. I need some fresh air."
Emily hesitated, then got into the car without a word.
"Henry," Andrew said, "be careful and call me if you need anything."
Henry nodded, thinking: what's the use of calling you?
After they drove off, Henry turned, and Sean asked, "Brother, don't you like Isabelle?"
Henry asked, "What do you think?"
"If so, why force Victoria to leave Bryan and have Erick marry her?"
Henry said, "Having Erick marry Victoria cuts off Bryan's hopes, and Erick should pay for his actions.
As for Isabelle, don't you like her too?
Why do you silently protect her but never confess?"
Sean smiled bitterly, "I'm not good enough for her!"
Henry smiled, "I don't think I'm unworthy of her, but the woman I like must like me first. Isabelle crying so hard for Bryan shows his place in her heart.
Others want to possess the woman they like.
I want to give her what she wants, fulfill her hopes, including the man she likes."
Sean stared at Henry, "You didn't..."
Henry asked, "Are you asking if I slept with Isabelle? She's so beautiful and a college graduate. For a country bumpkin just out of prison, if I did, I wouldn't tire so quickly.
And you know Isabelle isn't that kind of person.
If I did, I wouldn't lie to you."
Sean nodded, "Brother, you're a real man. From what you did today, you're not just strong but also loyal and generous. I, Sean, am convinced.
If you ever need anything, just call."
Henry nodded and walked to the hospital.
At the hospital entrance, Ruby called, insisting on meeting him tonight.
Erick must have called Ruby about the hard drives.
Henry returned to the ward, hid the hard drives and guns in another bed, then took a taxi to the Harbor Springs Hotel.
Shortly after Henry left the bar, Victoria left Erick's office. She met Sean in the lobby, exchanged forced smiles, and drove to Bryan's villa.
Bryan was watching soccer with a girl in his arms. When Victoria entered, he casually asked, "Back?" and continued watching TV, one hand still on the girl.
Though Victoria and Bryan usually played separately, she would show some attitude to Bryan's girls, proving her special status, especially since they got married today.
The girl looked at Victoria, expecting her to throw a fit, but Victoria sat beside Bryan, ignoring the girl, and placed the marriage certificate on the coffee table.
"Bryan, let's get a divorce certificate tomorrow?"
The girl was stunned, thinking: new tactic? Instead of throwing a fit, she shows the marriage certificate?
What does it mean? Does she really think she's the Davis Family's daughter-in-law?
Bryan glanced at the certificate, continued touching the girl, and watching TV, "Found your prince charming?"
Victoria smiled bitterly, "Someone is forcing me to divorce you. If I don't, they'll kill me."
Bryan snorted, "Who dares? Charles can't handle it?"
"Charles was forced to leave the Violet Bar and Harbor Springs."
Bryan was stunned, turning to stare at Victoria, "Who forced Charles out? No one among the so-called big gangsters could do that, unless they teamed up."
"His name is Henry, just released from prison, only twenty-four."
Bryan frowned, "Henry? Never heard of him."
"He's not from Harbor Springs, but from Summit Ridge Village, a few hundred kilometers away, a real country bumpkin."
"Oh, like Charles when he first came to Harbor Springs, a fearless guy. Karma, I guess." Bryan asked, "Even if he clashed with Charles, why involve you?
If he wanted something, it'd be you, your life, or your money. Why force a divorce?
Does he want to marry you?"
"No," Victoria explained, "He knows Isabelle, and they're close. He's standing up for her."
Hearing Isabelle's name, Bryan tensed, even withdrawing his hand from the girl's clothes.
However, shortly after, Bryan looked puzzled once again and inquired, "If they both have a good relationship, wouldn't your marriage to me be beneficial for him? Why compel you to divorce? What kind of scheme is this? It's not logical, is it?"
Victoria glanced at Bryan with a hint of instigating discord and remarked, "Perhaps he, like you and Sean, harbors feelings for her in his heart but prefers not to reveal them to others?"
Bryan smiled faintly, reached out to stroke Victoria's cheek, and assured, "Fear not, no one can hinder you from becoming the mistress of The Davis Family."
With that said, Bryan fetched his phone and dialed Isabelle's number.
