Chapter 73: A Woman's Charm Is Useless

The moment Henry heard Victoria's voice, his blood vessels seemed ready to burst. He turned and walked straight towards her.
Victoria raised her beautiful eyes.
She was confident that as long as Henry looked at her, her gaze could melt him!
Henry not only looked at her but stared continuously, feeling her seductive gaze. Yet, hatred filled Henry's mind, rendering Victoria's charm useless.
"Are you looking for Erick?"
As soon as Victoria finished speaking, Henry had already reached the step where she stood and grabbed her hair, dragging her upwards.
"Shit—"
Victoria leaned back, her scalp feeling like it was being torn off.
She quickly grabbed Henry's hand with both of hers, trying to step back and stand up, but Henry dragged her up the steps, causing her high heels to fall off.
The cashier, seeing this, quickly looked at Sean.
The bar's rule was that if something happened, they first had to find Sean. Whether to call the police or other brothers later was his decision.
If Sean wasn't around, they would call his phone.
Only if they couldn't reach him or with his permission could they call the police themselves.
Sean didn't look at the cashier but kept his eyes expressionless on Henry and Victoria.
Once Henry and Victoria disappeared around the corner, Sean dialed Charles's phone.
Charles told him he was no longer associated with the bar and asked if Henry was at the bar.
Upon hearing that Henry had just arrived, Charles told Sean he could either stay until the end of his shift or leave now.
Charles also instructed Sean not to call the police, no matter what happened at the bar.
Whether others called the police was their business.
Sean understood that Charles had completely exited the bar.
The brothers at the door, seeing Henry dragging Victoria upstairs, immediately rushed in.
After hanging up the phone, Sean walked up the steps, looked at Victoria's high heels on the floor, and said to the brother behind him with disgust, "Take them to the cashier."
"Yes!"
Sean glanced upstairs and then returned to the sofa where he had been resting.
His brothers stood silently by.
Sean realized that although Henry might not become the top boss in Harbor Springs, Charles's territory was now undoubtedly Henry's.
However, he was more concerned about Isabelle.
Four years of university, only to marry a social boss like Henry—wasn't that too much of a loss?
Moreover, he knew Henry's temper. Once he lost it and beat Isabelle, he wouldn't dare to intervene.
He felt that Isabelle, who should have entered paradise, was now on the brink of hell.
He took out his phone, opened Isabelle's contact, hesitated for a long time, but didn't dial.
Victoria's hair was being pulled so hard it felt like her scalp was tearing, and her white heels kept hitting the steps, making Victoria cry out in pain, "Ouch, brother, let's talk. Erick is in his office on the third floor. Let... let go of me. I won't run. I'll take you to him..."
Henry originally intended to drag Victoria into room 888 and then have her call Erick over.
Hearing that Erick was in his third-floor office, he dragged Victoria straight up.
Victoria was devastated.
Does this country bumpkin not understand how to cherish a beauty?
I'm so sexy, if you want revenge or to vent, just do it. Why drag me like a pig on the ground?
It got better when they reached the hallway; at least her heels no longer hit the steps.
Victoria wanted to step back and stand up, then follow him.
But Henry dragged her quickly, making it impossible for Victoria to stand.
Seeing a luxurious double glass door ahead, with lights inside, Henry figured it must be Erick's office and kicked it open.
The tempered glass door shattered all over the floor.
Directly opposite the door was a large desk, and Erick was sitting in the boss chair on the phone.
Seeing Henry break in, he threw Victoria with a forceful swing. She screamed, fell to the floor, hit her head, and slid two or three meters, crashing into the desk.
Victoria no longer believed in her feminine charm and played dead on the floor.
Erick's head buzzed. If Henry was so ruthless to a woman, what about him...
"Brother, brother," Erick quickly handed his phone to Henry, "Will you... will you take this call first?"
Henry's eyes turned cold as he pointed to the side, "Kneel over there!"
Damn!
Erick had never knelt to anyone, especially while talking to his aunt Ruby.
Ruby's husband was a federal deputy leader, and she herself worked in the organization department, influential in any state.
"Brother," Erick said with a tearful face, "Please take the call. My aunt and uncle are big figures. They can talk to anyone in Harbor Springs, even the district police."
Henry walked towards Erick without a word.
Sweating profusely, Erick realized Henry wasn't coming to take the phone but to kill him.
A wise man doesn't fight when the odds are against him, especially when alone in the office.
Erick quickly ran out from behind the desk and knelt where Henry had pointed.
"Erick," Ruby said over the phone, "turn on the speaker."
Erick quickly complied, "Aunt, it's on, it's on!"
Henry ignored them and walked over to the playing-dead Victoria, crouched down, and grabbed her hair again.
Despite the pain, Victoria kept her eyes closed, pretending to be dead.
Erick quietly turned on the video on his phone, pointing it at Henry, so Ruby could see everything clearly.
Henry said to Victoria, "Will you kneel beside Erick, or do you want me to fulfill your wish and keep your eyes permanently closed?"
Victoria opened her eyes, shivering: Heavens, I've only read about such eyes in novels. Do they really exist in real life?
Victoria quickly got up and knelt next to Erick in terror.
