Chapter 163: That's Too Ruthless

After putting away his phone, Henry didn't leave but went to the rest area near the cash register on the first floor. From there, he could see the elevator. Most guests would head straight to the other door after getting off the elevator and wouldn't look this way.
After a while, he saw Ruby come out.
Through the nearby window, he saw Ruby leave in her car.
A little later, Quentin and Ryan came down.
Ryan's car was parked in the back, so he had to walk through the lobby. Quentin's car was parked in the front, so they parted ways in the lobby.
Ryan walked to the back parking lot, opened his car door, and was about to get in when he felt a force push him forward, his head getting caught in the door.
"Ow, ow—"
One leg was in the car, the other on the ground, his head stuck between the door and the car frame, unable to move. He strained to look back and saw Henry pushing the door, staring coldly at him.
"What are you doing?" Ryan shouted, trying to sound tough.
Henry, expressionless, said, "I don't take advantage of others, nor do I make losing deals.
Quentin's hospital bill shouldn't exceed ten thousand, right?"
Before Ryan could react, Henry kicked the side of his knee.
This time, it wasn't a dislocation like with Erick but a fracture.
"Ah—"
Ryan screamed in agony, his body trying to collapse but unable to because his neck was stuck.
Henry said, "I told you in the interrogation room that if you touched me again, I'd break your arm.
You didn't touch me then, but you did punch me with your left hand before, so—"
With a crack, Henry grabbed Ryan's left hand, straightened it, and pushed it against the door frame, breaking his elbow.
Henry released the door, and Ryan fell to the ground with a thud.
Henry kicked him in the chest, making Ryan cough up blood.
Henry looked down at him and said, "Well, now the 500,000 should be enough. If you have extra money, buy some supplements."
With that, Henry stepped on his chest and walked away.
"You brat," Ryan, lying on the ground, said, "you're finished. If you have the guts, kill me. Otherwise, I'll kill you!"
Ryan wasn't a coward. In his younger days, he was a tough guy in society.
Wyatt's warning had made him a bit uneasy.
Now, with a broken leg and arm and a kick to the chest, it hurt, but it wasn't unbearable.
In the face of death or pain, fear often comes before the experience. Once you're in it, you realize it's not so scary.
Ryan thought, if I survive, I'll make sure to kill you.
Henry turned back and looked down at him, "Killing you would mean I face the death penalty. Your worthless life isn't worth it.
You'd better call for an ambulance and get to the hospital. I'll be waiting for you to get out.
Using resources, huh? Just your father?
Quentin's share certificate is with me. If I hand it over to the authorities, they'll trace the dividends.
If it's just you involved, I won't be called Henry.
I'll make Erick testify that the shares were meant for your father.
Your father may have landed safely, but if you want him to enjoy his retirement, you'd better be filial."
Ryan was stunned.
He always thought Henry was just a country bumpkin, a thug who had never been educated.
But Henry's words showed a grasp of law and policy that even a typical college graduate might not have.
If Henry did this, he'd be exposing the Anderson family's core.
If his father ended up in trouble, what would he be?
Of course, he believed the authorities would see through Erick's setup, but his father's real issues would surface during the investigation.
Ryan was speechless.
Henry continued, "Isn't Wyatt your friend? Tell him to stay out of this.
Unless he can kill me on the spot, there won't be a Wyatt in Harbor Springs.
As for Quentin's shares, I'll return them in full, not out of fear but respect for your wife.
Based on today's behavior, your wife is more of a man than you.
If it weren't for the awkwardness of facing your wife, I'd have paralyzed you today, leaving you in a wheelchair for life.
Remember, I'm giving you a choice: life or death!"
With that, Henry walked through the hotel lobby.
Ryan tried to get up but couldn't and had to call Wyatt.
Wyatt rushed to the parking lot with his men, stunned by Ryan's condition.
Xavier was also in disbelief.
In the underworld, the rule is not to mess with the government. No matter how tough someone is, they don't usually touch police officers.
But Henry was too ruthless.
Knowing Ryan was a cop, and with Wyatt just having been in the private room, how could he cripple Ryan before leaving the parking lot?
Ryan's father was a big deal.
Henry didn't care about either the underworld or the law!
His men, seeing this, were also shocked.
They would have stayed far away from a cop.
"Wyatt," Ryan, trembling in pain, said, "you must kill this brat, no matter the cost!"
