Chapter 53: This Girl is Not for You

The next morning, Andrew and Emily arrived at the hospital together.
Emily had specially prepared some food.
Entering the ward, they saw Henry washing up in the bathroom, while Isabelle was still asleep on the bed.
Who was taking care of whom?
Isabelle was not only sleeping in the middle of the bed but also on Henry's side. Had Henry stayed up all night?
Andrew glanced meaningfully at Emily.
Emily frowned.
"Sis-in-law."
Hearing someone enter, Henry turned and greeted Emily, ignoring Andrew.
"Feeling better?" Andrew asked proactively.
"Yeah."
Henry responded perfunctorily, turning back to continue washing up.
"Henry, this girl is not suitable for you!"
Despite Isabelle's efforts to care for Henry all night, Emily couldn't hold back her disdain.
In her view, Henry, fierce as he was, was still a naive mountain boy, unfamiliar with the world and lacking sophistication. He wouldn't be able to resist a girl like Isabelle.
If he fell for her, he might not be able to extricate himself.
If they could live happily ever after, that would be fine. But with Henry's temperament, how could he tolerate Isabelle's unseemly behavior?
If they had a falling out over some romantic issue, one punch from Henry, and Isabelle would be dead. It could even lead to a fatal incident.
More importantly, Emily really disliked Isabelle.
Seeing Henry merely smile and remain silent, Andrew quickly whispered, "I think Isabelle is quite good. I heard she's a college graduate.
Finding a job is hard these days, and she might be hanging out with the wrong crowd. If she gets together with Henry, she might change for the better."
Emily's disdain for Andrew was as strong as Henry's.
"Some people can't change. Those who can are just pretending."
Emily said, not even glancing at Andrew, but staring at Henry.
Henry asked Emily, "Sis-in-law, do you know The Davis Family Group?"
"Of course!" Andrew's eyes lit up, and he blurted out, "The Davis Family Group is one of the top ten star enterprises in Harbor Springs, definitely in the top three. Why?"
Emily just nodded.
Henry said, "Her boyfriend is Bryan, the son of Cole, the chairman of The Davis Family Group."
Emily was stunned, looking at Isabelle in disbelief.
Andrew's eyes flashed with cunning, thinking: If that's true, I should treat her better in the future.
"Impossible," Emily questioned, "The Davis Family Group is so wealthy. How could Cole's son be interested in this girl?
Besides, if she's the future daughter-in-law of The Davis Family Group, why would she be hanging out with those scumbags?"
Andrew glanced at Isabelle, hoping she was pretending to sleep, and said loudly, "Why not? I think Isabelle is very pretty and has great temperament. There aren't many girls in Harbor Springs as beautiful as her.
As for those who hang out at her place, they might be Bryan and his friends!"
After speaking, he glanced at Isabelle again.
Emily didn't want to argue with him, reminding Henry, "Since she has a boyfriend but stayed with you all night, isn't she up to something? Be careful."
Henry smiled but said nothing.
They had to go to work, and after Emily reminded Henry to drink more soup, they left.
Andrew smiled, telling Henry that Emily had made chicken soup and reminding him to take care of himself. He also mentioned not worrying about the money; they were not in a hurry.
Henry frowned, merely responding with a "Yeah," not even seeing them off.
After leaving, Emily glared at Andrew and asked at the elevator, "Why did you bring up the money?"
Andrew blinked, "I wanted him to take care of himself and not worry about the money."
"You said we weren't in a hurry for the money, implying he could take his time repaying it. How can he ever repay $600,000? Don't forget, that's my money, and I don't intend to ask him to repay it!"
Andrew quickly explained, "That's not what I meant. I meant..."
The elevator arrived, and Emily walked in.
Henry frowned because, like Emily, he interpreted Andrew's words as suggesting he could take his time repaying the money.
He had just been hospitalized, and Andrew was already impatient. Was there any brotherly affection left?
Henry had just picked up the soup when Isabelle suddenly got up and went straight to the bathroom.
Henry was taken aback, unsure if she had been asleep or pretending.
"You're up?"
Henry asked from the bathroom door, but Isabelle didn't respond.
Seeing her behavior, Henry guessed she had heard everything Emily said.
When she finished washing up, Henry was about to hand her the soup, but Isabelle turned and headed for the door.
"Hey—" Henry pulled her back, "Where are you going?"
Isabelle pouted, "Aren't you afraid I'll harm you?"
Damn, she had been pretending to sleep!
