Chapter 24: Are You Seeking Death?

Emily couldn't stand Andrew's cowardly appearance, and she despised Henry's attitude towards Andrew even more. Just as she was about to mention Henry, the car was turning into the parking lot at the entrance of the residential area. There, a few small gangsters were standing around in groups.

Andrew also noticed them and paused, thinking, "Are these people here for Henry?"

Henry, on the other hand, immediately spotted Erick's luxury car parked by the roadside. It seemed that there were quite a few reckless people in this world.

"Stop the car!" Henry said coldly.

Andrew instinctively hit the brakes and glanced back at Henry.

"What's wrong?" Emily turned around and asked Henry.

"You both go back!" Henry said, then opened the door and walked straight towards Erick's car.

It was only then that Emily noticed Erick's car and subconsciously grabbed Andrew's hand, saying, "This doesn't look good. Shouldn't we call the police?"

"It's fine," Andrew said. "You've seen Henry's capabilities, and besides, I just called Jason. He knows this Erick guy."

"In that case, let's go together!"

Seeing the gangsters from the parking lot running towards Henry, Andrew said, "No, let them talk. We'll just be in the way."

With that, he drove the car directly into the parking lot.

When Emily looked back again, Henry and Erick were nowhere to be seen!

Looking at Andrew, who had already gotten out of the car and was about to close the door, he said to Emily with his head down, "Let's go back."

Emily got out of the car and asked, "Are you not worried about Henry? There are so many people."

Andrew explained, "Is worrying useful? If we go over there and they end up fighting, wouldn't we just be causing trouble for Henry by being there?"

"Then we should call the police!"

"I already told you, I called Jason. If they were going to talk things out and everything was fine, it would be unnecessary for the police to intervene. Besides, Henry just got out of prison. If the police come and see him getting into a fight, they might detain him again. What would we do then?"

Emily thought Andrew made sense, but she also felt that something was off about his reasoning.

"Andrew," Emily asked, puzzled, "Are you doing this on purpose?"

Andrew retorted, "Doing what on purpose?"

"Are you hoping they will fight? If Henry wins, there's no need to say anything. But if he loses, do you actually want him to be killed or maimed so that the other side pays the price and you can be completely free?"

Andrew did think that way.

He didn't intend to harm Henry, but he felt that he couldn't control him. If he couldn't control him, he might as well let him be.

If Henry could defeat the other party, it would also make a name for himself in Harbor Springs.

With such a capable brother, he could also hold his head high in the future.

If Henry were to be killed, it would be Erick and his group who paid the price!

If he were to be maimed, would Henry still be able to act arrogantly in front of him?

He could just send Henry back to the village at that time, and it would be considered settling things peacefully. He would also have an explanation in front of the leaders. Let whoever love him!

But he couldn't say all this to Emily. Instead, he asked in return, "If I really thought that way, why would I go to prison to bring him back? He could have just gone back to the village on his own, without any relation to me."

"No," Emily said, "You go back, I have to go and see!"

After speaking, Emily ran towards the roadside.

Andrew had no choice but to follow her to the roadside. There were many people, and they couldn't see any trace of Henry and the others, nor could they find them.

"Let's go back," Andrew said, "We'll wait for him at home."

Emily gave him a disdainful look, thinking, "No wonder Henry doesn't recognize this brother. He's not only cowardly but also selfish!"

Emily, who had always been proud and privileged, had never cared about anyone before. She never expected that the first person she couldn't let go of would be Henry.

This was something she hadn't even expected herself.

Henry and Erick hadn't gone far.

When Henry silently walked towards Erick, Erick honked the car horn, and the five gangsters waiting in the parking lot immediately ran over.

There was also a burly man sitting in his car, Henry, the right-hand man under "Charles."

Henry glanced at Henry and felt a little strange: this didn't seem like the country bumpkin Erick had just described. He looked more like a bodyguard for a wealthy person!

Henry was already quite sturdy, and now, dressed in new clothes, he looked completely different from Erick's previous description.

However, Henry was only momentarily surprised. After confirming with Erick, he still believed that getting rid of Henry was no more difficult than killing an ant.

"Get in the car," Henry said, "Let's have a good chat."

As the five gangsters in the parking lot gathered around, Henry opened the car door and got into the back seat.

Seeing this, the five of them immediately got into another car behind.

After all, there was only one Henry, and Henry was a notorious figure in the gang. When he and Charles were in the mix, there was a history of one person wielding a gleaming watermelon knife and chasing and hacking more than ten members of the gang.

So they weren't afraid that Henry would pull any tricks in the car.

Erick stepped on the gas, and the car "vroomed" as it rushed into a small road on the other side.

By the time Emily and Andrew arrived at the roadside, they had already turned several corners on the small road.
