Chapter 191: The Protector
Henry calmly walked over to Owen. Slumped against the wall, Owen was too weak to wipe the blood from his mouth and chin. He weakly said to Henry, "Kid, your life is over!"
"Is that so?"
Seeing Owen still defiant, Henry kicked him in the chest, making him spit out more blood.
Owen, still defiant, said, "If you have the guts, kill me. As long as I'm alive, you're dead. My brothers will rape your girlfriend to death, or I'm not Owen."
This guy was tough.
From his tone, it was clear he had a powerful backer in Harbor Springs, giving him confidence.
"Then I'll kill you!"
Henry stomped on Owen's chest, making him scream and spit more blood.
"Stop!" The guy who got beaten up yesterday, now lying on the ground, shouted in pain, "Do you know who our boss is? Our boss is Xavier. Xavier's boss is Wyatt."
After he spoke, Owen opened his eyes, smiling triumphantly at Henry.
He expected Henry to beg for mercy.
But even if he did, it was too late.
If Henry wasn't tortured to death, Owen wouldn't be satisfied.
"Oh, Wyatt and Xavier are your bosses? You didn't say that earlier."
Owen sneered, "Kid, scared? Does it matter?"
Henry smiled, "Out of respect for Wyatt and Xavier, I won't make things difficult for you. Tell Wyatt and Xavier this: Everyone here today, if they have girlfriends, must bring them to me tonight. If not, I'll make you disappear from Harbor Springs!"
Everyone, including Owen, was stunned.
Who was this kid?
He first mentioned Sean, then Henry and Zack, and now he didn't even respect Xavier and Wyatt.
Even lying on the ground, they exchanged bewildered looks.
Owen, laughing in anger, asked, "Kid, do you have the guts to tell us your name?"
Henry smiled, "Henry!"
Hearing his name, everyone's faces turned pale.
Henry continued, "By tonight, bring your girlfriends to me. If you try to run, I'll flatten Golden Moon Resort!"
He then walked over to Ivy and Bella, nodded for them to follow, and walked away.
Bella quickly grabbed Ivy's hand and followed, holding Henry's arm and resting her head on his shoulder.
Owen was completely stunned.
Didn't they say Henry was fine? How could he be Sean, Henry, and Zack?
The guy who got beaten up yesterday, supporting his knee in pain, limped over to Owen and asked, "Boss, what do we do now? This kid is Henry! What do we do?"
Owen, shaking his head in despair, said, "What else can we do? Get my phone and call Xavier."
Henry never imagined his name had already become legendary in Harbor Springs.
Anyone in the underworld knew Henry.
He had taken down the best fighter, Charles, taken over the Violet Bar, made Samuel disappear, and driven off Tristan's fighters.
Now, only Wyatt's men remained.
Wyatt had even ordered his men not to provoke Henry.
But they had done just that.
Even so, they had to report to Xavier.
Otherwise, they would either bring their girlfriends to Henry or wait for him to flatten Golden Moon Resort.
Wyatt and Xavier wouldn't spare them then.
As Henry, Ivy, and Bella walked out of the alley, Bella sighed in relief but clung tighter to Henry's arm, resting her face against it.
To her, Henry holding her hand earlier was a sign of love, or at least an indication of his interest.
And paying off her debt so readily was a clear sign of affection.
Seeing Henry take down so many armed thugs, she thought, "Isn't he my protector?"
With him by her side, she feared no one.
At this moment, she had already accepted Henry as her boyfriend.
Henry, on the other hand, didn't think much of Bella's behavior, assuming she was just scared.
If Ivy weren't there, he would have comforted her.
Ivy, lost in thought, didn't notice Bella's demeanor or her affectionate behavior.
She frowned and asked, "Your name is Henry?"
Henry nodded.
She realized Henry must be from the countryside.
Her parents had told her that in the past, poor families gave their children rough names to ensure they survived.
In the city, people didn't care about this anymore, but many rural families still kept this tradition.
She asked, "Are you famous in the underworld?"
Henry asked, "Why do you ask?"
Ivy explained, "When you mentioned those names earlier, they didn't care and even mocked you. But when you said your name, they turned pale. Ask Bella if you don't believe me. Bella..."
She noticed Bella clinging to Henry like a couple, feeling like a third wheel.
"Huh? What?"
Bella, snapped out of her reverie, didn't change her posture.
Ivy frowned, nudging Bella, "What are you doing?"
She glanced around, indicating their schoolmates were everywhere.
Bella didn't care. She wanted everyone to know she had a boyfriend, and he was the best.
Seeing they were near the school's main gate, Henry pulled his arm from Bella's grip.
"Alright, it's safe now. You can head back to school."
Ivy nodded, but Bella suddenly hugged Henry's neck, stood on tiptoe, and kissed him on the lips. Then, blushing, she grabbed Ivy's hand and ran towards the school.
