Chapter 144: Walking on Two Legs

Of all the people present, Sean and his brothers were undoubtedly the most shocked.
In the past, they had never taken Justin seriously, and they only had a slight impression of Brandon because he was close to Justin.
As for Jonathan and Daniel, they didn't even consider them small fry.
Yet in just a few days, after following Henry, they had become fierce and ruthless.
Especially Jonathan and Daniel, who fired without a word and then rushed forward to shove the gun barrel into their opponent's mouth, displaying a level of ferocity that sent chills down everyone's spines.
Even after the fighters fled in panic, they didn't show any pride. Their expressionless faces made it seem as if nothing had happened, as if they were cut from the same mold as Henry.
This only made them admire Henry more.
A leader's caliber determines the quality of his followers.
Now they understood why even Charles had submitted.
Just consider those fighters, who even had firearms. If they had clashed with Charles, he likely wouldn't have stood a chance.
But Henry had subdued them completely in just a few minutes.
"Things are stable here for now," Henry told Brandon, Victoria, and Sean. "Carry on as usual. I'm going out with Jonathan and Daniel to take care of some business. Call me if anything comes up."
Victoria was completely won over by Henry!
Although Charles had been her idol, his ruthlessness paled in comparison to Henry's.
She felt she had made the right choice by following Henry. With the backing of The Davis Family Group, Cole's former lover, and ex-daughter-in-law, she could probably walk sideways in Harbor Springs in the future.
"Henry."
Victoria handed Henry the keys, ID card, bank card, and discharge summary.
Henry took them and asked, "Do you need a car?"
"No need!"
However, Victoria's question reminded Henry that neither he nor his brothers had a car, and they should buy one soon.
"Henry!" Brandon called Henry aside and said, "Now that you all have guns, what about the one we just confiscated..."
Henry immediately interrupted him, "Remember, what I need now are business managers, not thugs. Focus on running the bar well and stay out of fights. If we get into trouble in the future, you can stay safe and take care of things for us."
This had always been Henry's attitude towards Brandon. Besides understanding Brandon's personality and traits, it was also a way to protect him.
Brandon understood and nodded, "Got it. I know what to do in the future. Just don't let the brothers think I'm a coward."
Henry patted his shoulder and left the bar with Jonathan and Daniel.
"Henry," Jonathan asked eagerly, "Are we going to take out Tristan now?"
"Yeah," Daniel added, "Let's catch them off guard!"
Henry smiled and asked, "Did you eat something spicy this morning? Your performance and demeanor just now were completely transformed."
Jonathan laughed, "We learned it from you."
Henry said, "I've told you before, even though I always look fierce, I avoid hitting vital points when I fight. I was really scared when you fired just now, afraid you'd blow their heads off."
Daniel laughed, "Henry, Jonathan and I have figured out why we always seemed a bit hesitant. But you're different. Even though you tell us not to hit vital points, your eyes always look like you're aiming to kill. That's how you were with Charles that night, with Zachary and Quentin in the office yesterday, and with their boss just now. So we realized it's all about the mindset. We used to seem hesitant because we were actually scared, which made us look terrifying."
Jonathan laughed, "Very terrifying!"
"Exactly!" Daniel continued, "So Jonathan and I decided that the next time we have to fight, we'll think in our minds that we must kill the opponent. But when we fight, we'll avoid vital points."
Henry laughed, "If you can control that, I'll be completely at ease. Also, I've told you before, if we need to use guns, wait for my signal. Why did you fire without my signal today?"
Jonathan said, "I gave Daniel a look. If you had started negotiating with them, we wouldn't have acted. But they attacked first, and if we hesitated, what would Sean's brothers think of us? Everyone knows you're tough, but we can't let them think you're the only one who can fight. So today, I told Daniel we had to show that we're strong too. It wasn't that we were weak before; our leader was just weak. Now they can see we're not pushovers!"
Henry laughed, "Okay, it seems we're getting more in sync. Let's keep it up. Harbor Springs is a tough place, and we need to show some fierceness to stand our ground."
Daniel grinned, "Henry, what are we waiting for? Let's go to Tristan's hideout!"
Henry laughed, "No rush! Those fighters will definitely call Tristan after leaving. Tristan will know we're coming and will be on high alert. Let's let him stay tense for a while and strike when he's exhausted and complacent."
Jonathan laughed, "Strategy, that's strategy! So what now?"
Henry said, "We're going home!"
"Alright," Daniel said, "Then Jonathan and I will go have a drink at the bar!"
Henry stopped him, "No, you can go anywhere to relax, but not our bar. I didn't even give Brandon the confiscated gun. My plan is to walk on two legs: Brandon will focus on making money, and we'll focus on conquering. We'll have more businesses in the future, but we can't let people think we're all one unit. Otherwise, if something big happens, we could all be taken down at once."
Jonathan and Daniel immediately understood, raised their thumbs in unison, and said, "Got it!"
