Chapter 15: More men, the better
Maddie
"I slept with the twins last night," Robin says, and I looked at her in horror.
"What are you talking about?"
We were sitting by the pool in the big house. I wanted to go for a swim, but we can't.
The twins wouldn't tell me, but the idea was that we weren't supposed to attract much attention because we were humans and no one really knew we were here.
The blond twins seemed to be our babysitters since the triplets were missing. They had stopped looking for me after I became difficult with them.
It was complicated... and now I was afraid they wouldn't look for me anymore. What's happening to me?
So here we were, sitting in sundresses but unable to get into the pool, all alone, looking like witness protection cases.
"It's not what you think! We literally just slept together in the same bed, but that's all. Last night and the night after the party."
"But why?" Robin seemed really confused.
"I don't know. Suddenly everything changed. It sounds crazy, but it's like after that party, where we were so close and danced so intimately, and felt their bodies too close... something awakened in me. They had touched me and I had touched them, and now our skins were calling to each other," she explained.
Strangely enough, I felt something similar. It was as if a door that had been tightly closed suddenly began to crack open, like a huge dike beginning to burst, and water began to seep out. And the worst part was the promise that it would eventually break completely.
"And that wasn't the worst part, Maddie..."
"What? There's more?"
"I dreamed about them."
"What kind of dreams?"
"Pretty disturbing hot dreams, believe me. Things I didn't even think were possible," she said, blushing, and I had never seen her do that before.
"Oh my God."
"Don't even tell me...and that's two. I don't want to know what it would be like with three." of course we were talking about sex. Two men? Three men! Come on!
"Don't worry, I'm sure mine won't want anything..." she said, turning away.
"Believe me... those triplets want everything. I saw you dancing with them. They must have touched you... they must be crazy to be near you. They desire you, girl...fervently," she said, and my skin tingled.
When I had fallen, they had tended to me with such care. Even Logan seemed to feel guilty, even though it was only an accident.
I remembered Dominic's hands on my legs, his worried look, Kurt's concern.
The party and the dance had been crazy, but then... I saw them for what they were.
I told myself I had to stop this madness. It seemed I was getting too caught up in it, and I didn't want to. I had to hold my position. Continue with our plan and escape.
"I don't know if I can keep doing this, Robin. I don't know if I can keep trying to seduce the triplets," I told her, and she remained silent.
"I don't know either, but we have to keep going, Maddie..." Robin replied as another woman suddenly approached and sat down in the other chair.
"Are you talking about your mates?" I hoped she hadn't heard what we had discussed.
"Uh, yeah, yeah," I replied, seeing that it was the doctor.
Probably she had been sent to subtly check out what we were up to. After all, she was one of the few who knew who we really were.
"Girls, if you're worried about having multiple mates... I understand it's not normal for humans, but it's quite common among the wolves here," she said as if it were nothing.
Robin put on her poker face. I, on the other hand, didn't know where to look. Was I really talking to a stranger about the possibility of sharing a bed with three men?
"Yeah, it's not normal...at all" Robin said, trying to smile.
"With twins and triplets it's quite common to share a mate," she said as if she was talking about making a salad.
"Uh-huh..." I said, wishing I could jump in the pool and drown myself, disappear.
"I mean, of course, if you need any advice, I'm here to help. You know, how everything works...in the bedroom with so many men and so many..." she said, and now Robin and I were frankly scandalized.
"How many men do you have, Doctor?" Robin asked, and Dr. Karim smiled.
"Four."
"Four?" We both asked in surprise.
"Yes, two are best friends and two are brothers."
"What the hell?" I asked, horrified.
"Actually, the more, the better. I've known women with five or six."
What the fuck!
I was about to faint. What can a woman do with so many men?
"Each one has his own dynamic, but believe me, as mates, you are connected for some reason, and everything will work out as if it were the natural course of things."
"Sweet God..." Robin said, looking lost at the horizon. Something told me that her dreams had been very provocative and made her doubt.
To be honest, the twins were quite nice and sexy... and seemed really interested in my friend. For a moment I was afraid that she might want to stay.
I would have to leave... I had no home here. I had nothing. I was convinced that my life was in danger, but on the other hand... being away from the triplets... gave me a strange feeling.
"I know how you found your mates wasn't ideal, and that you're also entering a completely different world. I also know that the relationship between humans and wolves hasn't been the best, and that a lot of it is our fault. But believe me, we're glad you're here. You have a place here, your destiny is here," Karim said, and now I wondered if she had heard anything about our escape plans.
"Then why haven't been introduced us to the others? Why are we hidden? Why can't I leave my room without being guarded?" I replied firmly, and now she was silent.
"The situation is..." she said, and suddenly we heard a commotion.
Several wolves were running back and forth and seemed to be carrying someone. I watched in horror as they headed for the pack house and climbed the stairs.
Suddenly the twins appeared, frantic and desperate.
"Honey, you have to come over here. Stay with us," one of them said, taking Robin away without further explanation.
"Luna Maddie... you have to come, they need you." I saw the doctor running quickly towards the infirmary.
As I walked through the hallways, accompanied by one of the twins, I saw blood on the floor and heard screams and arguments.
My heart sank when I saw Dominic covered in blood, with several wounds, and his uncle yelling at him.
And further away, on the stretcher, was Kurt, incredibly pale, unconscious, with a wound on his chest, his clothes red from lost blood.
And I could only think inside myself: please don't die... please don't leave me.
