Chapter 70: Preparations

Dominic

There are no words to describe what that first night with her was like. Not just because we had mated, but because she had truly accepted us. There was no pressure; we would never rush the process.

She was magnificent, incredible. Her body, her skin, was an addiction, and I never thought I would be as happy as I was now.

"We'll be happier when we all mark her," my wolf sighed. It seemed that nothing was ever enough for him, but I understood.

Ideally, we should present her to the pack, then do the ceremony, and when we mated, the mark would come. But if we had shown anything in this relationship, it was that everything had been backwards. Honestly, I wasn't complaining.

"Present her? Really?" Kurt asked in surprise.

"Yeah, I think our uncle is finally on our side. Maybe it was because of the conversation we had last night."

"Or maybe he wants to put pressure on Logan," he replied. My mate was already bathed and dressed and looked at us curiously.

"Either way, it's good news, of course, as long as Maddie agrees," I indicated.

"Yes, I do, also I want to learn more about the pack," she replied, and it was music to my ears.

"We don't deserve her; she's perfect," my brother said in my mind, and we both smiled.

"Then it's all settled. We'll start with the preparations, and Luna Vera mentioned that she wants to give you some lessons regarding the role of Luna," Maddie seemed pleased.

She came over and gave me a sweet kiss, and I held her close to me.
"I promised her we would have breakfast; mate deserves a rest," my brother mentioned, as if he knew the ideas that were running through my head... all of them indecent.

"Of course...oh, and Robin is dying to see you," I replied, and then we had the happiest breakfast in the world, with the twins, and Robin. The girls were very united in whispers, and we thought it's best to give them some privacy.

"Maddie's talking about us, about how happy she was last night."

"I hope she's pleased, that's all I want," I said a little nervously.

"We made her come several times, and she was shaking just from our touch. We did more than well," he said proudly.

We began to discuss the presentation, as the twins would also be introducing Robin to the pack, and doing the full ceremony, as she had been marked surprisingly quickly for a human. Our betas had done well.

"Leave everything to us, Alphas, whatever it takes, this ceremony will take place, even if it's the last thing we do," Liam said.

"I'm worried that our enemy might take advantage of something or, you know who…" Kurt explained.

"Logan... betas… I need you to focus on finding out what he's been doing. I know he was in the woods last night; it's important to follow him, and please keep an eye on the warrior Arthur. He was loyal to our brother, and I suspect Logan will need him anymore," I asked.

"I'll keep an eye on them," Lionel replied. Logan was their Alpha too, but the Golden Boys knew that he could put Robin in danger, they would never allow it, and so they were our best allies.

"Excellent, and our mates will have everything they desire. Our uncle has already announced that it will be a much more special ceremony, as he wants to emphasize the importance of our mates," I explained.

After that, Maddie took Vera's lessons seriously. In the days that followed, we doubled down on security and plans; what had happened before couldn't happen again.I had regular meetings with the twins, but it was difficult to find them together; one was always in the room with Robin.

"For the Goddess' sake, it's getting harder and harder to find you two," I complained to Liam.

"It's not even our fault, Alpha... our mate is really passionate," he explained with a smile, and I imagined they couldn't keep their hands off her.

I knew we had to give our mate some time, but inside I wanted to be like that with Maddie too. My wolf was begging me to be with her day and night, and to be honest, sleeping next to her, seeing her in delicate, short pajamas... was driving me crazy.

Kurt had told me that we had to be more careful with her; we didn't know if Maddie could handle our attentions at any moment, but I was suddenly pulled out of my thoughts.

"Alpha Dominic..." a female voice called out to me. I don't know if it was the bond, but another woman approaching me already made me uncomfortable. It was as if only Maddie had reigned in me.

"Irina, what do you need?"

The she-wolf was an important warrior and deserved all our respect, but my wolf growled every time he saw her, especially since she had been trying to get close to my brothers and me for some time.

Women of the pack didn't usually seek out the men. Why should they? They knew that sooner or later they would find not one, but several mates who would treat them like queens, who would please them, take care of them, and give them the most important place in their lives.

All women usually held important positions in the pack in all areas. But Irina always looked for us, and it wasn't a surprise to any of us that she wanted us to choose her as hers mates.

Of course, there were times when wolves or she-wolves didn't find their mates and decided to choose mates. Kurt and I hadn't paid much attention to her, but Logan...

"I wanted to volunteer to participate in the ceremony," she said, surprising me.

"Actually, we already have everything in place, and I appreciate your offer, but..."

"I would love to, Alpha. I know it will be very special, and I think the powerful women of this pack need to be together. I must admit that I'm intrigued by the future Luna," she seemed sincere.

"I would have to discuss it..."

"I just want to help! Alpha Oscar agrees that we have to find the best way to present Madeleine to Moonvalley," she put a hand on my shoulder. The feeling she gave me made me uncomfortable; her approach and touches were too familiar.

"Everything will be fine, Alpha. You'll see," she said, and it seemed as if everything had been decided.

"What is all this?" I asked when I arrived at our room to find a very bitter Logan and Maddie and Kurt happily rummaging through her clothes.

"The twins suggested we take the girls to the waterfall in the woods," he pointed out.

"The twins seem to have gotten dumber now that they're infatuated with the human," Logan snorted, glancing sideways at Maddie, who, if possible, looked even more beautiful. He looked at her longingly. Stupid wolf.

"I think it's an excellent idea," I said, and when she came out, I saw her in a short dress and noticed the bikini underneath, I let out a growl. Even Logan's eyes seemed to pop out of his head. I don't know if going to the waterfall was the best idea in the world or the worst, but we'll see.
