Chapter 175: I Want the Triplets
Dominic
"Mother fucker!"
We knew that miserable Alpha wouldn't play fair, but I never thought it would be so obvious. Gerard sent a pair of wolves at Maddie, and she screamed, I killed them in an instant. Logan lost focus. And all hell broke loose after that.
"A knife!" I shouted. The Three Dragons had always been powerful. But after that night with Maddie, we were stronger than ever, and I knew Logan would win. Gerard probably knew too, and that's why he did what he did.
It was all claws and fangs and anger, and soon blood. The Night Wolves attacked us mercilessly. Meanwhile, the Council members shouted, fanning the flames and inciting the masses.
"The Three Dragons have perjured themselves! Moonvalley will belong to whoever wins!" The battle descended into chaos, all against all.
"If they want a fight, they'll get one!" Damiano roared in my head. My first thought was of Maddie. She was the priority. Seeing how desperate she was, I fought off the wolves that were coming towards us.
"They want her, all this is because of her!" Kurt growled as he ran with her, and I bought them time, Damiano took control. She screamed our names and turned her head to look for Logan. I had lost sight of my brother and prayed he was OK; things were getting out of control.
"To the pack house!" Kurt yelled frantically. We ran towards it, seeing that Robin had kept control and the place was empty. At least the humans and our people would be safe. But as we approached, more and more warriors came.
"There are humans who have infiltrated and are on the side of the enemy," Kurt informed me. It was possible they had let more warriors in, as we were now facing a troop.
"This way!" my brother shouted, carrying our mate. We were in our own territory, on the run, desperate. We hid like dogs near the camp and I could hear them searching for us.
"I'm so sorry, mate, I'm so sorry," I said as I held her. I feared these would be our last moments together. We were surrounded, but the only thing that mattered was her survival, even if it was only with one of us.
"You have to get out of here."
"No, please, I can't," she pleaded.
"Mate, it's the only way," I explained and Kurt nodded. "I'll buy you time. Head for the forest, maybe towards the human towns. The rest of the humans will be safe, I promise. I won't let them reach them, I swear." I kissed her.
At my signal, I appeared, and they ran, slipping away. I began to kill warriors, fearing that some would go after Maddie and Kurt. The little wolf appeared, helping me.
"Go with her" I told him and he ran. But I came face to face with someone unexpected. Terrible memories came rushing back.
"Irina," I said, returning to my human form. She looked at me with satisfaction.
"Well, well, look who it is. If it isn't my favorite triplet. And to think Logan always said he was the most gifted. But you, Dominic... what a wonderful dick. More powerful, I imagine," she said, biting her lip, looking at my naked body. I couldn't believe she was thinking about that, in the middle of a fight.
"What the hell are you doing here?"
"We have business to resolve. You should accept me"
"What are you talking about? You knew Maddie was our mate, that we had found her, and you decided to get in the way out of ambition!" I shouted. I heard more wolves approaching. I was afraid they were enemies because I was wasting my time arguing with her.
"You promised me! We made a deal, and you're not keeping your word. I would be Luna, leaving this insipid human behind!" she shouted angrily.
"Irina, your ambition will get you nowhere! And be careful not to say another word about Maddie in my presence!"
"I am the mate of several Alphas! I have many men who love me and treat me like a queen, that worship my body. But I only wanted you! I wanted the Three Dragons! I wanted the triplets to love me and be mine!" she howled. Suddenly I saw a group of enemy Alphas, wolves, approaching with some of our soldiers. I could only hope that this chaos would allow Kurt and our mate to escape.
"You said you'd be our mate, we were about to mark you," some of the enemies shouted. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
"But I..." she stammered, lost. I prayed that this would work in my favor.
"You said you were ours, and we've just heard you profess love for the triplets! What is going on, Irina?"
"No, no, I did not..." she pleaded.
"You betrayed us, Irina!" cried more Alphas, their hearts broken. She had how mane mates?
"No, my Alphas...!" she cried.
"You fucked us! You use us!"
"You deceived us too! You said you were the true mate of our Alphas and you used us," some of our warriors shouted. I realized they might have been on her side, but now they saw the truth.
"She'll pay for her sins against the pack!" I shouted. The Alphas growled.
"If you allow us, Alpha, we will bring her to justice," the other wolves said, and I was relieved not to have to deal with her.
"So be it. Leave my land, now!" I declared.
"No, no, Alpha, please! Dominic, you and I should be together! All three of us! Please, Dominic!" she cried as they took her away. But she had sealed her fate and she had to pay for it.
I scoured the area, sniffing out the trail of Maddie and my brother, praying to the Goddess that they had escaped. Then I found a group of council members surrounding Gerard.
Beyond them was our uncle. I sensed that my brother was nearby and that something was wrong. The battle had moved here, and that couldn't be a good sign. I also heard more wolves approaching the territory.
"Finish him, boy. It's time," our uncle said, urging Gerard to kill Logan.
