Chapter 40: It's time

"Are you sure Logan will agree? I don't want us to look ridiculous, the whole pack is watching us," my uncle asked me. He seemed especially nervous, and I could feel his nervousness too.
"Logan's going to do it whether he wants to or not. We will make him. I don't promise he'll have a good attitude about it, but he'll do it."
"Why are you so convinced?"
"Because what Logan cares about most is how others see him, and he doesn't want them to think he's an Alpha who can't control himself and doesn't obey the decisions of the Goddess," I answer, and my uncle seems convinced.
"Well, I suggest you stay close to her at all times. There will be a party and then, at the best moment, we'll announce the new mates and you will be the last. Vera will keep you informed. I'm putting you in charge, Dominic, don't let me down," he told me, and I left satisfied.
Sometimes I wondered why the Goddess had chosen Logan to be born first. We were only a few minutes apart, and although I had always believed him to be an excellent Alpha and a role model, my brother had disappointed me time and time again since Maddie had come into our lives.
The party began, and the first thing I noticed was that the twins were thrilled with Robin, who looked spectacular. They introduced her to everyone, and the girl smiled as if being here was the most natural thing in the world; as it should be.
I couldn't stop thinking about what the future would be like, with our betas and their mate, with Maddie, and we would create a better pack that we could unite with the human world to make things better. Everything seemed so perfect, and even though I knew the road to redemption with Maddie was just beginning, we had too many hopes.
But my world stopped when I saw her in the Great Hall, looking like a queen. Maddie seemed a little nervous, but her beauty was undeniable. I saw her in a corner, as if she was searching for something. What did she need? Why didn't she ask us?
"Maddie, what are you doing?" I approached her and she jumped. She looked me up and down, studying my appearance in detail.
"Mate likes us; I think we're her favorite," Damiano told me, and I laughed at his comment. I suppose for Kurt, he was her favorite too.
"Dominic, I was looking for... uh... a place to sit," she said, and I took her hand. Perhaps she had uncomfortable shoes.
"You look beautiful, mate. When we bought the dress, we thought you would look great, but you have exceeded all expectations."
She blushed. I saw that she hadn't worn much makeup and very little jewelry, but our mother's necklace looked precious hanging from her chest. I took the small moon between my fingers and took the opportunity to caress her breasts on the way.
"Kurt gave it to me. I hope there won't be any problems," she said, referring to the necklace.
"It's yours by right, and besides, it looks really nice on you. Maddie, I can't tell you how important it is to us that you accepted this mating. It's like a dream come true, and I know we have a lot of work to do and that we don't deserve you, but we're going to do everything we can to make you happy here. I promise, I swear," I told her fervently, and she smiled.
I took her around for a while and showed her some of the artwork. I also gave her some refreshments and drinks, and we sit and talk, and when a song began, I invited her to dance. And I was aware of the surrounding murmurs, people wondering who this human girl dancing with the Alpha was, but there would be time for introductions later.
Kurt was finalizing the details of the ceremony, and I hoped he was keeping an eye on Logan as well. The idiot was still locked up, as far as I knew, grumbling, but he had no choice.
I ran my hands over her dress and skin, pulling her closer as we danced. She looked small next to me; but to my eyes, she shone like the moon itself.
"Do you have something in your pockets?" I asked as my hand went over the area, and she seemed nervous.
"Girl stuff, you know, to touch up some makeup."
"Of course," I said.
"In fact, I'd like to go to the bathroom for a moment," she said, and I accompanied her. She seemed to be there for a good while, and I waited for her outside. Some she-wolves looker at me, smile at me, but I just can think of Maddie. When she comes to me again, I pulled her into a lonely hallway.
"What's wrong?" she asked, I pressed her against the wall and kissed her. The surprise disappeared, and she responded to my kiss, her tongue playing with mine as I pressed my hips against hers.
"You don't know how excited I am just thinking about what's to come," I told her and began to caress her neckline.
I put my hand in and squeezed her corset, taking one of her breasts. She wasn't wearing a bra since the dress was particularly tight there, and I smiled like a fool when I saw her breasts exposed. I leaned down to kiss them as she moaned.
"Dominic... Dom..." she seems unable to speak properly as one of my hands went under her large skirt. When my hand touched her underwear, I smiled like a madman.
"Kurt's idea, I guess. My brother is obsessed with this type of underwear, and it fits you so well, my mate, it almost doesn't cover your pussy," I told her, moving the underwear aside and now caressing her center directly as I heard her scream.
"Are you ready, mate? So wet with just a few kisses? By the goddess... how well we'll get along," I whispered, feeling the wetness between her legs.
With one hand I held her, with the other my fingers made circular movements while my mouth kissed and sucked on her breasts. She was so agitated and aroused that she came quickly, and I licked my fingers with passion.
I discreetly arranged her underwear, although I would have liked her to be naked. Then I arranged her corset; her breasts had reddish marks, but there were things I just couldn't avoid. I put the necklace back in its place, between her beautiful breasts, thinking that tonight was truly wonderful.

"That's just a taste of what's to come tonight, mate. And if you're too tired now, then tomorrow... but I have to warn you, we will mate possibly every night," I whispered and she shivered a little. I kissed the right side of her neck, the small spot my wolf saw with madness.
"Soon I will leave my mark here... and we will be united forever.
Suddenly I heard someone calling us.
It's starting, finally. It´s time.
