Chapter 184: The end
Maddie
"Do you need help, Mom?" I hear my oldest son, Landon, ask me.
"Thank you, sweetheart, always the gentleman," I reply happily.
He has always been exceptionally polite and well-behaved. Even the pack say they had never seen alphas as charming as my sons, and it filled me with pride. Not to mention that he was also handsome and intelligent - a young Alpha through and through.
"This is going to be an awesome party," I said as he helped me get things out of the kitchen. I was rushing around with last-minute preparations, so excited. My little one helped me carry things while I brought out the cake. I had made it myself; with my duties as Luna, I didn't get to do these details very often, but I wanted to do something special for this party. Then Donovan, my second son, appeared.
"Everything is ready, Mom; everyone has followed your orders. Even our fathers that were running around like crazy this morning," he said with a smile.
"Thank you my love" I reply. That's how he was - always so organized, kind and intelligent. His green eyes were mesmerizing. He was a born leader.
Everyone in the pack saw their fathers in them, though each child seemed to show one of their traits in particular. But to the wolves, there was no distinction. To my mates, all three were their sons, and it made them incredibly happy to be fathers.
They involved constant in raising the children. But they were also strict, which made the children very disciplined. They were going to inherit the pack and needed to follow the right path, as Logan always said.
I had thought that raising triplets would be chaotic, but I never imagined that the children would be so obedient and responsible. This was largely because their three fathers had taught them to protect the weak and to be aware of the power they held. They were known as the New Three Dragons, the most united brothers.
"But what a beautiful cake, Mom!" Kai, the last one, appeared with his golden hair. He hugged my legs and made me laugh. He was so adorable, kind, clever and adventurous. Always brighten my day. They were all so happy today, and I wanted to lean down to kiss my little one, but we were late.
"All right, let's go! The party's about to start! Come on, little dragons!" I say excitedly as we walk through the large house that belonged to my parents. It wasn't like the house I grew up in; this one was much bigger and had more comforts. The territory had finally been returned to the humans. Everything was much safer now; the packs protected several towns and even cities. In many areas, there was hardly any difference between humans and wolves.
My mates insisted that much of this was due to what I had done during the war, when I had asked the humans for help. But I believed it was the will of all. I saw the Golden Boys running with their children, and Robin laughing and playing with them.
My parents were happy hugging their grandchildren. Mark talked to the warriors, and in my mind, if this wasn't paradise... it was very close. Then my mates arrived, laden with gifts.
"You look beautiful, mate," Dominic said, giving me a kiss and helping me carry the rest of the things.
"Where's the birthday girl? Where is our sweet daughter" Kurt asked, noticing the absence of the guest of honor.
"She's right here! She looks beautiful!"
"Oh, look at our granddaughter!" my parents exclaimed as the rest of the guests admired her. Logan appeared carrying my little girl, Selene. My mates said it was the true name of the moon goddess, which showed how much our little one meant to them.
It had been years since an Alpha's daughter had been born, or so they said. Everyone was crazy about her - especially her fathers, who couldn't bear to be away from her. Logan held her proudly, showering her with kisses as she happily soaked up all the attention.
Even though she was too young to understand what was happening, I knew she felt how much her parents loved her. That she had three fathers who were totally devoted to her, and three brothers who would give their lives for her. Her hair was brown as her eyes, a little princess.
I hold her in my arms as Logan whispers to her, "My daughter. Little Luna...beautiful and strong, like your mother," he says, giving me a kiss. Over time, our passion hadn't waned, but after the triplets and our little girl, we decided that was enough kids.
We focused on improving the pack, building a better life for everyone, and of course, being together whenever we could. My alphas even hoped that our little ones would grow up so they could retire and devote themselves to being with me, with no responsibilities. But I aspired to join the Council one day. I wanted to prevent the disasters of the past and make sure they never happened again.
We spent the afternoon with little Selene. She received more gifts than she could enjoy in a lifetime.
"Happy birthday, Selene!" the triplets shouted to their little sister, as they took her to play with Robin's twins. I dance with Kurt, laugh with my parents, enjoying my life.
"You were right - we have achieved so much more than we ever imagined," Robin said as she approached. "Beta, Luna, mother, strong; heirs and a future on the Council, influencing both the wolf and human worlds."
"It's true, who would have thought?" I answer and we laugh.
It was an unimaginable future for someone who, as a little girl, had only dreamed of becoming a gymnast. Now I had so much more: I had my father back, a loving family, a home, power. And also the three most beautiful, sexy, brave, and brilliant men I had ever known in my life. And now they looked at me and smiled at me like I was their whole world.
"Tonight we celebrate," Logan said through the mind link.
"The four of us together" Kurt winked.
"We could recreate one of those sensual photos of my favorite present," Dominic added.
And if this was my destiny, I had nothing... absolutely nothing to complain about.
