Chapter 106
At first, I was not sure if I should respond to her outburst of how good it was and being so good but did not want her to think I had not enjoyed myself. "Well since it's the only... umm ya it was good" I whispered hoping she would not catch my distraction which after a few minutes of her not saying anything back I knew she just went with it. We were in my bed and wrapped up together by 2:30 am with Catherine falling right to sleep. However, I was wide awake unsure of so much all of a sudden. "I'm still going to college just to let you all know up there... that's one thing you are not taking from me. I now know where mother gets that "Just do the minimal and find a rich husband" shit comes from. I'm sure it runs way deeper than that!" I thought to myself knowing they could hear me. "Shhh honey just sleep, you will get whatever you want now that you've accepted the family inheritance. Now that you have you'll be receiving things which not to worry we'll take it slow and do it together.." "You are going to tell her, aren't you?" Ethan asked as I was slowly falling asleep with the sounds of my loved ones in my head.
The room was bright and warm with thick air around me. "Wow.... ok...." I gasped for air as I sat straight up in bed and looked around the room finding that it was only 5am with the sun coming up. I had been in a training gym learning how to fight on the other side in my dream stream in a whole other dimension, but fight what was the question. I was taken to a hilltop overlooking pure green grass that stretched on for miles and miles. By the atmosphere I knew it was not local and yet it felt familiar. The longer I stood there I was hearing my name being called out again by Sharene but also by Catherine which was weird. I was unable to move but however I was not being kept against my will either. The view was spectacular and once I had finally had enough for the time being I was transported first to Catherine who had been now crying again. I was in her dreams seeing that she was seeing me walk away from her and she had been screaming out my name begging me to stop. I wasn't sure why I could not do anything or why I was there witnessing it. I was just as afraid this would be her doing it to me when she realized that she couldn't stay friends with me because of the things I kept from her.
The longer I was stuck there I had cried along with her as I stood next to her watching myself walk away and disappear into nothing and it freaked me out the most. "Is that who I am becoming... nothing" I thought. I told myself no that it wouldn't be and believed it letting me then be transported or flying through the dream state and not really sure to, where. I arrived in a dark room with the only light coming through was that of the moon light as someone stood near a window in a bedroom. I moved closer to find that it was Sharene who had been standing at the window looking up at the moon. "I hope you are thinking of me as much as I am of you.... maybe I should just leave you alone and let you contact me... I mean you did say you'd text me when you had the chance, just wish you'd let me in a little.. fuck I can't even let you fully in you've barely cracked the wall.. I guess that's why I keep holding on for whatever this might even be. You are still so young and don't even know what you are doing with your life... If it was just me it'd be another story and fuck... fuck Sharene you have a baby that comes first not some relationship you might even think you see in your future. With a girl who is completely fucked in the head emotionally right now! Shit I don't even know the whole story just from what I've pieced together and what Haley and Brian have told me...." she was talking to herself out loud and about me.
My head was still foggy as I got up off the bed and turned to face Catherine who was lying in my bed sleeping but had pain on her face. I hoped it was not still me and that bad dream she had. "Hey.... Cate I'm here I'm never going to leave you... well except now while I go running" I whispered softly into her ear and touching her face. I slipped away quietly into the closet for workout clothing and then into the bathroom to freshen up a bit before heading out. Catherine was still fast asleep when I left the bedroom at 5:15 leaving her a note on my pillow asking her not to leave at least not until I returned from my workout. I was not surprised to find Sebastian at the island counter with a paper, coffee. Along with the other guy who was my mother's guard as if they knew I would be leaving the house or something. "Morning, I'm heading out so if you are coming with let's go because I want to get a good workout in before my day starts" I say grabbing coffee, vitamins, and my keys off the hook. I headed to the garage and opened the door to find that two of my cars were gone.
In their place were 2 SUVs and my challenger that was left behind and I was thankful for. "Hmm well I guess that pretty much sums it all up, at least he didn't take my baby which he knows I need to keep me happy..." I mumbled to myself as I opened the car door and then the garage door before starting the engine. Sebastian touched my arm coming up behind me "Your father wants you riding in the SUV, but said if you didn't want to, I was to follow you around. He says you are very attached to this car and that's why he left it but wants you to be safe. So, it's been customized with GPS, and other things that you don't really need to worry about. Anyways so I guess I shouldn't bother asking if you'd ride in the SUV with me?" he said so softly making all the little hairs on my neck stand up. I took a step back and into him wanting to just feel him close and he backed up a half second later which he knew would piss me off. I now understood what he wanted since he was still pissed at me too.
The challenger felt so good to drive as I put the top down and let the air cool me down as I drove fast through the neighborhood and out the gates of the community waving to the guard at the post. I was on the open road a few mins later flying down the highway faster and speech texting my friend Giovanni. Who I knew would have been up since about 4am training his regulars in the gym. "Hey, I'm on my way in... don't need anything just a run and a good workout, but if you have time, I need your help with a few things...." I could see the SUV at a distance in the mirror knowing that he would have to stay far enough back to make sure no one was following me. We had made it to the gym by 5:55am with Giovanni greeting me the moment I pulled into my spot. "Well.... well beautiful look at you... thought you would have gained like 50lbs not being here every day... good to see you are for real about keeping fit and healthy" he said kissing both my cheeks and hugging me. I socked him hard in the side for thinking I would be fat when I got back. "Damn I think if I did gain weight, it's all fucking muscle..." I bitched and a second later before he picked me up straight up. "Ha well feels like you might be right...." "HEY... PUT HER DOWN!" Sebastian was on fire now as he squealed into the parking lot and parking right behind me and behind me in the blink of an eye. Before I could figure out what was happening.
Giovanni put me down and stepped around me in a protective move and was ready for a fight "And who might you be? Never seen you around her before so who are you?" he asked in a calm tone that spoke volumes to me. As well as Sebastian who didn't back down but got close to him too. "Doesn't matter who I am.... all you need to know is that I'm watching you and if you touch her again like that, you'll be dealing with me" he warned. Giovanni turned around when I pulled his arm "Mia baby... I don't need any problems here... I..." "Ummm there is not going to be any problems he's my bodyguard as of what a month ago..." I said looking around him to Sebastian. Giovanni gave a half smile as he looked at me "Girl you are trouble have been since the day I met you.... lucky enough though I know he's ex-military. As long as he doesn't get in your way here, we'll be good" he said picking me up again and ignoring Sebastian's groan. He carried me inside leaving Sebastian outside to move the SUV before coming inside.
I knew by the look in Sebastian's eyes as he approached me after parking properly that he wanted to know if I had slept with Giovanni. I hated that I could also hear his thoughts which was all over the place and could not grasp most of it. "NO.... I have never slept with Giovanni so don't even think about asking...." I whispered when he approached me fully. I was happy to be back running around the outside track at the gym and running a good 4 miles. Then walking another mile to cool down from it before going in and working on a little strengthening routines. Ones that I had not been able to get done while on vacation or what vacation there was. Sebastian stayed at a distance giving me space that helped when Giovanni helped with a few new routines and teaching me how to safely do them if I were alone. "He's very tense for a bodyguard, did something happen for you to need a babysitter?" he asked, and we both laughed. He of course new the whole thing wouldn't surprise either one of us. "Nah... umm well actually to be honest I'm not sure since he's on my father's payroll and not mine. A lot of shit has happened in the last month and a half...." "Hey Gio... phone for you" the guy behind the desk yelled out.
