Chapter 149
We both finally made it to the parts we could freely stand and rose up to our feet. (Ha-ha) “Sorry about that but that look in your eye told me you wanted another go and that's not in the cards anymore. That has to be the last time understand...Not a joke dead serious now" I said warning and meaning it this time around. "Well.... if that's what you want then I will listen, but just know that means you have to come to me if you change your mind" he said catching me up in his arms one last time kissing me and putting me down on my feet. Before taking off in a full sprint up the beach and back to the house. Catherine was laughing it up with the new people she met and shaking her head at me. "He's got it bad for you..." "For real... he looks like he could fuck a woman dead... shit a man in fact..." one of the girls yelled out. "Cate, I cut him and you off so remember that..... no joke just like I told him... anyways you all look to be having fun.. hope you all take care of my girl here or else..." I said as I flipped my hair as I bent over to try my best to wrap it in a bun. Catherine gave me the evil eye when I picked my head back up and looked at everyone. "Sorry......" I said putting my hands up and backing away.
With my hands still up, I slowly backed up heading for the house and smiling feeling so happy. "Oh, and Cate dinner with dad in like 4 hours before he goes home so shower or not and I'll see you later" I said before running back to the house myself. To get a good shower in and clean myself up to be even ½ presentable. I showered and checked all my calls that were from my mother, Sharene, and the team in Oxford just letting me know that things were a little behind but should be worked out by the time I arrived. My mother was more desperate and, in a panic along with Sharene who had not called in a few days. She knew I was in California thanks to my parents. "Call me please.... I was hoping we could meet up since I'm in California for.... look just call me ok" she begged, and I felt like a total ass hole. I called my mother first and listened to her panic crazy talk that seemed to never end. "Ok mother calm yourself I'm fine and you know that since I've been in contact with dad when I got to the house. I was doing a tour of the house and then had a little fun on the beach and Cate met few new people who seem cool enough so anyways... I have dinner with dad in a couple of hours and I need to blow dry my hair still, find an outfit to wear. I hope to GOD I look good enough to go to this new hotspot Cate's new friends told her about. I sent dad the details and he already got us in even though the waiting list is like a yearlong. SO… not sure who is going to be suffering from that outcome... ha anyways I have another call..... ugh ok seriously look can you please stop conversing with Sharene and just let things play out. I have to go and grab this call now" I said hanging up on her and answering the next call.
The call was from "Sharene........" “Mia, you are a lunatic… you will listen to me without cutting me off or hanging up on me this time… you have your mother in a complete panic and now you’re in California and not even telling me… DAMNIT!” she cut me off sounding just as panicked as my mother did on the line. I could not get much out but understood all the words she was screaming at me. "I'm going.... to hang up.... hey.... stop it stop it now or I'm going to hang up and you can forget about talking to me ever again" I said with a sharp hiss that caused her to shut up real, quick. "Good... now that I have your attention. I don't react well to threats or whatever you want to call what you are screaming at me... I have dinner with my friends and father this evening and....." She cut me off again informing me that she knew and would be there. "Then why call and cause this shit.... could have done it face to face" I yelled back and hung up not needing the stress.
A driver arrived around 6pm with the truck we would be using for the rest of the weekend followed by a limo that pulled in right after. I yelled inside for Catherine and Giovanni to come out that our rides had arrived. Letting them know that we would be late if we did not leave in 5 mins. They came running and right passed me and thanks to my new security system it kept lights on for 15 mins before dimming them, leaving only a couple lights on. To make it seem like there was someone home when really there was no one. I used my new system to lock up the house but made sure I had keys too and we were on the road. Making it to the restaurant arriving in style which was not new to anyone. Especially when more of them were arriving by style as well. "Damn..... well your new peeps must have some straight hook ups... hmmm" I said thinking about it and hoping it was not going to be an issue with her new friends. "Right.... they have some good taste after all" Catherine said as she waited for the door to open. Giovanni got out behind her and holding out his hand for me as I got out and stood tall with my 3'inch Niki heels on.
There were paparazzi everywhere and even cameras flashing on us even though I we were no one special and figured they would be questioned about them later by security. Catherine walked right in while Giovanni sheltered me for some reason and got us inside quickly with his big body over mine as much as possible. "Calm down it's just cameras and I'm no one special...." "SHH..." he hissed violently in my ear. I almost made us both fall as I was taken to our table and there stood on high heels Sharene herself the most beautiful woman I had ever had the pleasure of knowing. My father was standing next to her and looked a little too dressed up though the place was upscale enough. Along with Sharene’s outfit that still got me questioning until she was hugging me a second later. "WOW......" she hissed through her teeth in my ear as Giovanni had still been holding me. I pulled back and she almost hesitated but went with it as I put Giovanni on the spot. "Giovanni meet Mrs. Babanoise, Mrs..." "Mia...." my father said in a tone that told me not to start my shit. "What I'm introducing them...." "Nice to finally meet you Sharene, heard nothing but good things about you from Ethan as well as Mia" he said putting out his hand and stepping away from me to hug her after shaking her hand.
Giovanni sat near my father while I got the pleasure of my father on one side of me and Sharene on the other side as the 5 of us sat to have dinner. Sharene tried her hardest to hold my hand, my thigh anything she could touch until I finally got up to use the bathroom. "Ummm I need a whiskey sour please, and water I'll be back to place the rest of my order. Go ahead and order apps and I'll snack on whatever. I need to freshen up" I said before leaving the table. Catherine saw my face and followed in front of me saying she needed to as well and a second later the 3 of us were in the bathroom with Sharene calm as a cucumber almost to calm. I closed myself inside the stall and took my time to the point Catherine had no real reason to stay. "Ummm you are alright... I am going to head back to the table before security comes looking for us..." "It's fine we'll be out in a min I'd say take her with you, but I know that won't happen" I said cutting her off hoping Sharene would just go with her. I finally left the stall once Catherine walked out and there was no one else in the bathroom with us. "Sharene look...." She was on me kissing me pushing me against the wall.
