Billy wondered why there were papers stuck between the girls, little spaces or on their coffins that looked to be dis-colored. “Umm those are just letters from Max and are super personal but long story short are basically apology letters to the girls… anyways like I said before it’s a subject I don’t like talking about but is a thing we have in common so just leave it at that for now ok” I explained the best I could after I had not really told him everything about Maxwell and I and just how I had lost the girls. I read another card which was from Sharene and I was surprised to see it since I didn’t think she’d be back ever. “Hi sweet peas… so tonight your mother came to me and showed me her secret and to be honest I’m not even sure if it were real or if I were dreaming. I guess I’m lost on what to do. Do I wait and see if she shows up again or just leave it as it is a dream that made me feel closer to her just a bit. Well I love you and so does baby Maddie. I’ll be back soon. All our love”. Billy and I had stayed for a little over an hour and once we headed out Lola was looking as though she ate something sour. "I'm sure my father has called... we are leaving now so you can tell him to relax, I'm heading to the gym" I sighed as I walked Billy to his truck.
Slowly turning to Billy I shrugged my shoulders not sure on how to say goodbye for now. "Hey, I am offering you to come along but and this is a very big but... I'm sure my father has shown your photo around there. I'll make sure you're not hurt, also I'd like to introduce you to someone... and before you say no to meeting her I think she could really be beneficial when it comes to your case and trial that will take place one day. I'm only going to give her a call and set something up for another day but would want you to meet her outside of her office" I prayed he would trust me enough to take my advice and knew that I'd have to convince Jasmine to do this favor for me. Billy looked super nervous and I knew it wouldn't be as easy as asking him to come along with me anywhere especially in most peoples’ eyes he was a crazy killer and kidnapper who could have hurt me and still could. "I'm not sure that's a good idea since I'm not used to being this social let alone going to a gym with you where people want to kill me for....well you know taking you away from them even though you came willingly. There are things I have to answer for and I know one day I will have to, but I also owe your whole family an apology and right now I am sure they don't want to hear that from me... especially being Christmas Eve and all" he frowned and I could see so much emotion in his tone and touch.
Billy had made me feel some type of way which I had decided to call the gym first to see if anyone was even there since I figured it would be closed until after the holiday. No one answered so I called Giovanni and he of course was sounding like he had just been working out or possibly fucking someone which was hard for me to even imagine. "Umm hey stranger, sorry to bother you but real, quick are you at the gym working out or at home? I called the gym and no answer, but no message picked up either. I wasn't sure if well anyways I wanted to go by and see it and I have a key but not a code to get the alarm off" I asked waiting for him to yell or tell me “NO”. Giovanni took a good deep breath and started to calm his breathing a bit. "Well ya it's closed until after the New Year since we've been killing it and I wanted to team to have a break. I have killer deals coming at the beginning of the year, I guess have at it... I figured your parents would have you under lock and key after your little stunt, ha but then again it's you and you don't go down without a fight!" he laughed his real laugh even though I could tell there might be something more he wanted to say. I laughed and thanked him for everything including the code that he sent to Lola on my other phone and smiled at Billy. "We are all good and won't have anyone there so we are good and these two here won't touch you....." "Well since I have nothing else better to do I'd love to come along, but can we just take it slow and if I see something I don't like I'm turning around and going home" he warned as, he rubbed JJ's ears in a panic rhythm. "Billy you can say no now and just go home, I just wanted you to see what I created alongside a brilliant guy who has the best gym in the world. The awesome part is that we are doing so well that we've been asked to open a chain of these damned things" I was doing my best trying to convince him.
Billy was still thinking about my offer when my cell rang with my father's cell # while the car phone rang with the house phone number and I knew they were checking on me. "Lola can you please just let them know we are fine, and I'll be home soon ok, I know I told them lunch time and I will be there. Don't tell them about the gym or Billy I really don't need more issues when I get home" I begged, and she answered the final ring of the car phone. I heard my mother's anxious voice "Where is she? Please tell me she didn't take off on the two of you? I need her home soon and tell her to stop blocking because I hate having to call and go through her team just to find out where you all are. I mean damn it the GPS on the SUV is bouncing all over the place and she disabled her GPS on the bike so it's freaking me out" she was doing her best not to go into full on panic mode. I poked my head inside the window "Mother I need you to seriously calm the hell down and I will be home soon for lunch I have one more stop to make ok? I love you and tell dad to stop calling my cell phone and if he needs to talk, we will do just that when I get home ok" I promised hitting the off button.
Billy decided that after hearing my mother's voice he was just going to head home with JJ "I just think it's best you get home because they are really worried about you and I'd be the same way if you were out here even though you are safe" he whispered. Lola was bristling as she was in the front seat "Lola chill.... he's not going to hurt me ok as you can see that" I snapped looking at her. I walked Billy and JJ the rest of the way to the truck wanting to say goodbye without people watching us. I picked JJ up into my arms and stroking his soft head, "I won't be able to keep doing this much longer... even though your still a puppy you are going to grow into a giant. Go have fun with papa-bear and hey papa-bear teach him something smart because he's a smart bread and they need lots of tasks to do ok. I will call you later" I smiled touching Billy's face after putting JJ in the truck. Billy hugged me tight all while watching my security team, "I know that I'm going to be seen as a monster to them all and I am not sure if I could see that on your face.... I mean I never saw it in all the days you were with me, I saw more sorrow, sadness, and pity" he admitted before letting me go.
Billy got into his truck and took off when I told him to leave before us so that I could make sure no one was following him promising that I would talk with him soon. My heart was breaking for him since I was starting to really have feelings for him even though I was not sure if they were just feelings of sorrow or if they were feelings that could change us from friendship into something more. "DAMN IT.... you've got to be kidding right? You have no reason to...." "Ethan not now!!" I begged as I put on my helmet and started up my bike. I made another call on my way home which was to Jasmine who was curious about the blocked number "Sorry just can't be too careful these days you know... I am sure you are having a well anyways I won't keep you long but wanted to see if for one you could keep this between the two of us with what I'm about to tell you because a man’s life depends on it" I finally take a deep breath before bringing Billy's name up.
Before I could say another word she chimed in "If this has anything to do with that young man Billy Mathewson I already talked with your father and said I'd help in any way I could so if that's why you are calling you are a little late" she informed which shocked me since I figured my father would be hesitant and I would have to pull out the big guns for him to help me to help Billy. I thanked her and drove faster towards home knowing that lunch would be ready shortly and I wanted to be there on time instead of having everyone waiting on me. Lola had called on my earpiece asking me to slow down. "I'd hate to see you cause an accident or kill yourself on that damned thing" she was now worried more than I had ever seen or heard from her. "Oh and just a heads up Leona is at the house per what Bailey just said when he called and he is still in Oxford moving your things out now that he got a court order" she dropped another bomb and I hung up not wanting to hear anything else.
