Chapter 60
It left me feeling happy about it all, but not so happy to be saying goodbye to the boys in only a few weeks. "Damn it is that what is on my mind to the point of worry?" I thought to myself and was happy that Ethan did not comment about it. It was a simple thought I had myself and not him to be answering. I curled up in the recliner and waited for my mother to come back from wherever she was. Though I figured she was probably with my father who had yet to come out of his office. "I guess I should tell you 3 first about the news before mother comes back out since I know you'll have different issues than she will.... so anyways long story short Max blew up my phone with text messages and then emails when I did not answer him back. He had plans that were cancelled and now wants to join us all here for a couple of weeks or so. I told him I would have to ask my parents and you 3 since you are here too, and I warned him of that which he's fine with it" I informed them.
It did not take long as I watched the room go from happy full of sunshine to anger and a dark cloud which I had feared and was happy that I told them first. "For fuck sake Mia..... I mean...." "You have completely lost your mind.... is this you, giving in and taking him back?" "She would be an idiot if she did that.... what the fuck is going on in that brain of yours because you are not fucking stupid enough to fall for his charm" Jose, Nicholas, and Catherine were very vocal so vocal that my mother and father both came out to see what the commotion was about. Catherine was in my face straddling me and pinning me to the chair with such force she almost tipped us backwards. "Damn it Cate..... shut up please... my parents have no idea what happened to break us up and I'm not about to tell them now!" I whispered in a begging tone. Catherine’s eyes filled with tears, and she was off me just as fast as she was on me and running out the front door. I knew how she felt as all the love poured off her as she did what she did.
Jose and Nicholas looked at me with disappointment "Look do what you want this is your vacation and we can't tell you who to invite and who not to" "We just would appreciate it if he came after our nuptials if that's ok since it is our day and is important" they both told me how they felt before leaving the house going after Catherine. Jasmine removed herself from the room as well seeing that now was not the time to put in her two-sense knowing I would not want it anyways. "You two come find me if you need me, I'm going to head up and get cleaned up for dinner" she said to my parents before walking away but stopped and looked at me. "I'm here for you too if you need me Mia" she added.
Both my parents stood in front of me with their arms folded and I knew it was for not just one reason but probably a couple. My head was starting to spin out of control just feeling all their energy now that I was tapped into a whole other force field. "Omg ok just get whatever it is off your mind before I have a break down please... I know what dads pissed about. Yet I'm not sure why, and I'm sure he told you so you are whatever pissed off about...I'm sure you're both wondering what that was about which is not important except they don't like Max. They would prefer that he not come or at least not until after their ceremony and I understand. I also told Max that the decision wouldn't just be mine to make....." "That's your problem honey it is your decision you are 18 years old and you know we love Max so if you want him here he's welcome..." "Wait a second Ethan that is not right though since we don't need any more issues here and if this causes an issue with him being here than I'm not sure it is a good idea... plus she is at least thinking of her friends feelings before her own which is important too" my mother added as she cut my father off.
They had yet to even bother asking why my friends did not like him or want him around and it kind of pissed me off. When my mother usually wanted to know everything along with my father in the recent days. "Ok well I can at least take this all into consideration and maybe figure something out like him coming out towards the end of our vaca. Maybe after the guys leave all together, I'll figure it all out. To be honest I'm so over this vacation and day altogether so I'm going to go back to the guest house now. Greta is saving me a plate, so I'll have Sebastian bring it to me later if that's ok" I said as I stood and balanced on my crutches before heading out. My father Ethan wouldn't let me leave as he stepped closer blocking me from moving in either direction. "I know there is something you are not telling me and it's starting to really piss me off. You blew up at me on the yacht and I am just trying to understand you..." "Ha a little late for that isn't it..." I was put in my place as my father back handed me in the face so hard I fell backwards and into the chair. I went still as could be but did not cower down like I had when Max had hit me the first time.
My father was gone in a flash when I looked back up with my mother just looking at me with a look that told me "I told you not to push" and left me too. My face was stinging, and I knew the pain all too well from many times of being hit in the face. Or other places from Maxwell and from my classes I had taken to make me stronger. I finally brushed off the shock and stood again with even more strength and headed out the front door instead of through the kitchen. As the back stairs would make it a closer hop but didn't want Greta asking questions. I was not really sure where Sebastian or my friends were and was happy that no one was in sight. I wasn't in the mood for any more conversations and as I entered the guest house and heard nothing but silence and the energy my brother executed when he was near. "Ethan please just leave me alone I am not in the mood for living people I'm surely not in the mood for the dead right now" I muttered under my breath making my way to the stairs to go up. I was up the stairs when I heard my iPad facetime ringing and my front door open at the same time. It made a chime sound whenever the door opened for security purposes. "I'm not in the mood for whoever just walked in so tread lightly please" I said as I hobbled to the iPad.
