For the next couple of hours Maureen told me what had went down and that she had left not because she needed time but because her firm was notified that the 4 men who were arrested had actually been men who were clients of her firm. They had threatened her to the point she was almost killed and had to go through a poly graph to prove she had no idea where her brother was hiding out. "I passed thanks to my training, but I was a wreck afterwards and took me a few days to get here since I had people following me and I can't trust anyone... I was hoping to get in contact with a friend who does not practice any more but works on special cases like this... I searched him out and found he had died a few years ago. So ya that's when I came here and warned by brother and to be honest I'm not even sure if anyone followed me since I'd used my own car to get me out of the city 80 miles in the other direction. Then rented a car and dropped it 45 miles away and called Billy who came to get me, and I'm scared... I know your father has some immensely powerful clients so I am afraid that something might leak out or just..." "Maureen calm down.... I am going to make sure that you both are safe... I have a team that is quiet large and if I need to use my resources to get you two safe...I will, but you have to trust that coming here I didn't see anyone, or umm well let's just say this place is hidden well ok? Not to worry because your brother is smart, and you should know that ok" I could not help but spue everything out that I was feeling in my heart even though part of me doubted myself. “No one even knows that my father is the lawyer yet since he does have powerful friends and clients and also has a team that makes sure of it" I shrugged hoping they both would relax and trust that we could all get through this together.
After learning all I needed to know and had seen for my own eyes that Billy was safe along with his sister I knew I had to get back home sooner rather than later. "Ok I have to go so you two stay here, I made it here safe and without being seen so I need you to stay safe and... Billy if you need to call me you do it ok... also this property stretches for miles and I know you have more than one hideout out here so if you need to use it just do it ok. I will keep my distances until my father tells me it's time to have you brought in ok, and even than I will come for you both myself with my team ok. Use your burner phones to reach me along with using my burner numbers to keep it safe" I hugged them both tight. JJ had stayed by my side and even on the couch in my lap which I had a feeling he knew that I was pregnant with him being so protective over me any time Billy or Maureen came within feet of me. "JJ is acting super protective over you... good boy" Billy smiled petting his head. I left the same way I had come in and ran through the woods the other direction when Billy told me there was another way to get out after telling him where I had pretended to have a bike hiding out. I made it back safe and sound and had not needed to stop but actually just created a portal for myself and zoomed right through it and right into my room that was on the other side of the portal.
The night had turned into a bunch of new things I had never done before, making the landing a little rough but was happy to have landed on my bed. A min later my door was sounding as though it were going to break "Jesus relax I'm coming.... I was in a deep sleep" I gasped out trying to keep myself under control. I opened the door and found my parents there waiting. "MIA....." they both echoed out and took me in their arms holding me as though they were not expecting to see me or something. "Your...Your mother said you had blocked everyone including her and she couldn't even hear your heart beat... we called on our way here and Leona said you blocked and locker her out to the point she could not even kick the door down" my father was in pure panic looking at me. "I'm fine... just not feeling well and doc says I'm not contagious just a little stomach bug and to rest. So that's what I'm doing which as for the door that's weird but good to know I'm learning new things everyday" I admitted with a smile.
My parents stayed the entire night with me including Giovanni as they took their old room even though it had a few new things which they liked. "Ya I'm going to continue to remodel and am using all the idea's that Sharene wanted. I put a call into Candice who will be coming with her team after the New Year, also Maxwell is getting married at midnight on New Year’s so that is a surprise. Also, I sent him and his soon to be bride a few things off their registry that had not been taken up yet. Anyways you 2 get some rest ok because tomorrow we are going back to your house where you both feel more comfortable.... and daddy we have things to talk about and just go over because I've been talking with Billy and Maureen and she's in trouble..." I was all over the place rambling on about everything in my head which caused him to frown. "I know baby girl... I am keeping a good watch over them so not to worry... and I know you were there today so you don't have to lie about that since my team I have on them told me they thought they saw you" he frowned touching my face.
The days had gone by so quickly and before I could even breathe, we had safely brought Billy and Maureen to a safe house until the trial. Billy's video's and other recordings had been looked at by the judges my father could trust along with the D.A. he knew well and could trust. Billy had to wear an ankle monitor but was able to stay out of jail thanks to my father and Billy's evidence on everything he had done minus the one with Violina since that one was not recorded which was a good thing for him. My morning sickness was still pretty harsh but didn't make it half as bad as it was in the beginning and I knew I owed it to myself and the baby inside me to give us both a fighting chance. I had yet to say a word to anyone including Billy who was already a nervous wreck and I knew if I told my parent's they would know who the father was. It was bad enough that my mother had wanted to kill Billy when she saw him the first time. Once she got to know him though she had become just as soft on him as I had knowing what we knew and being able to see it all from his memories which were hard for us both.
My father and I had been in meetings and depositions with the D.A. and the judges who wanted to see if a full trial for Billy was necessary since he was only 10 when things happened and still much a scared boy. "There is nothing we can do about Violina's case since it didn't happen here in the states, but as for the others well one was a complete accident and we will be able to at least give the family closure.. as for the other 4 that is harder since he was out for vengeance. The 4 men he killed though aren't missed trust me, but they were still lives he took so we have to decide what happens and also speak with the prosecutors in London to see what they want to do about the case there..." D.A. Fanderson was giving Billy and I hope which made me feel good. I wanted to see Billy get off completely free, but I knew things might go bad for him in Europe but then again, they had no evidence to convict him on the murder. "They don't have a case I know that for sure so even if you tell them that you think you have the man that killed her.... and don't get me wrong I want to see justice for my friend, but he should not have to be sent to prison or put to death for a manic episode and as you can see with your own eyes he went off script of what he usually did" I had been fighting for Billy all the way.
