Chapter 32

Jasmine did not move and actually got closer as I moved over for others to sit down with us. I was just happy that it wasn’t just us sitting together any longer and putting on a show for people who just watched from afar. I didn’t pay attention to what Jasmine started to say as my thoughts had drifted off to other places. Not to mention the fact that my parents and other friends and guests where somewhere else on the yacht. While I was up with Greta, her kids and her husband along with a few people I didn’t really know. Jasmine was in full swing of things, giving me time to finally make my exit when one of the stewardess had come up and asked if I’d like to try some new items the chef had prepared. She must had seen my uneasiness and helped me out because once I stood and was far enough away, she laughed. “You looked really uncomfortable and like you wanted out of there” she said walking up closer. I smiled and introduced myself “I’m Mia as you probably already know, but I don’t remember you from earlier. If we already met, I’m sorry.”
She smiled and shook my hand “no apologies needed, yes, we met earlier when you boarded the yacht. I’m Sharene” she said in such an exotic accent that I guess she was from somewhere in Europe. “Wow accent is amazing, but to be honest I suck at guessing where people are from. I’m thinking somewhere in Europe which is a broad spectrum so ya anyways…” “Ha-ha close I’m from Australia but lived in Europe and really all over the place” she said as she could tell I was nervous. Sharene moved to the lower part of the yacht so I decided to follow her down the stairs and towards the kitchen where the chef was busy at work cooking up a feast for everyone. The smell was amazing, and I could tell he was using some amazing spices that spoke to my taste buds and got my mouth watering. “Omg this was a perfect idea…. I love food eating it, cooking it, and wow a big turn on for me…” I was not sure what had come over me.
Sharene was laughing and so was the chef who must have heard me. “Wow well thanks for that Ms. Ribbonowski that to me is a complement in its highest form. I’m happy that you are pleased so far, but just wait until you actually taste it since you are still a baby and can’t have that good of a pallet yet” chef Browningson said, but not having a clue how my pallet was. I loved being a smart ass and showed just how much as I got closer to the chef and took the bite that was offered to me. “MMMM oh chef… now that is amazing reminds me of when my family and I sailed Europe and had some of the world’s best chefs on the ship. Yet I have to admit this is amazing on so many other levels. I can taste the pure devotion and love you put into it” I said in a low tone which made him take in a sharp breath and I followed my eyes along his throat watching him swallow.
Sharene was standing behind me and completely quiet just listening to me and my little moans I made in pleasure of the food. Chef Browningson was in that space with me and kept feeding me his food until there was nothing else to sample. We both stepped back into our private bubbles and Sharene stepped up closer to me and whispered in my ear “That was like the hottest thing I’ve ever seen in my life…. You really put him in his place. You’ve now made a friend for life, and he’s a tough nut to crack but you cracked him in less than a min.” I laughed as I watched him get back to work and even a little disappointment crossed his face. “Hey Chef, no hard feelings just maybe next time don’t assume a spoiled 18-year-old girl hasn’t experienced life or much of it. I look forward to trying more food and enjoying all of this that you are preparing for this evening” I winked at him before following Sharene down steps that lead to where the crew usually hung out when they weren’t working. Sharene had done a great job as I enjoyed the tour of their courters which were really small and only big enough to get in and close the door. “Wow this doesn’t seem fair at all, and some are like 3 to a room, that’s just nuts” I groaned with astonishment as we finished the tour and headed back towards the crewman’s area. “I have a question for you, but you don’t have to tell me if you don’t want too… I guess I just want to know how hard is, it for the crew, to have a real steady relationship with anyone outside the crew? Especially when they are at sea most of the time and do any of the crew members hook up or even start relationships?” I asked hoping I was not getting to, personal. Sharene laughed as she slid into the booth and tapped the seat telling me to sit down without actually having to ask. I stood on my feet for a minute and spotted a fridge and went to it grabbing water out of it for the both of us. I finally sat with her finding her quite interesting and just caught me un-like any of the other crewman and woman who had been attractive and caught my eye the moment I saw them. Sharene however was something I was not expecting, and I had completely dismissed her all together and wondered to myself “WHY!” Sharene took the offered water and downed half the bottle before relaxing and facing me. “Great questions and we get those questions often so don’t feel bad for asking. It’s extremely hard to have a steady relationship unless you can find someone who knows what this life is all about. As for other crew members dating, yes it happens but usually only lasts for as long as the crew is together on a yacht, or ship. Only because it can get complicated when some of us move around every few months, but the ones who actually try to stay longer it’s easier to just be friends” Sharene said as we sit and talk. The more I listened to Sharene the more I wanted to know and had to know before I went crazy knowing if I did not ask more about her I would regret it. “Why did you want a job like this if you don’t mind me asking? I mean on one level I get it because it’s traveling and I love traveling and water so this would be something for me minus the work part…ha” I said with a little too much excitement I think. Sharene was about to tell me more when her earpiece came to life and her name was called by the Capt. asking where she was. “Capt, I’m in the whole talking with Ms. Ribbonowski she wanted to see the entire yacht that she had not yet seen so I showed her. Am I needed up there if so, I’ll be right up sir” she said into her mic. Capt. Amshireston didn’t say another word but found us not a minute later and at first didn’t look all that happy. Then again, he was a hard man to read like another man I knew, known as my father. “Sir, umm Capt. sorry if I took up to, much of her time, I just find all this intriguing and wanted more. Sharene has been a great host and shown me what I wanted to ummm see for the most part” I shrugged with a smile as I stood and shook his hand again. “No, she’s not needed if you have her busy, you are the boss’s daughter so it’s your call” the Capt. said before taking his leave. I knew that I was being selfish and didn’t want to take up her time knowing she would be needed for other guests. Who might need something, and they were down a person now because of me.
