Book 2: In the Life of Mia: College Chapter 82

For the next few days, I wasn’t surprised that I was mind blocked as I tried to reach the next stage and get more information on Billy’s family. I was growing irritated and again wasn’t surprised when Leona had not been back to help me since she saw only anger when it came to Billy. I had decided I would make sure I would do it all on my own without anyone’s help. I worked hard every day and night to get more answers and more of whatever he had needed and wanted since I wanted to be out of there and back to my crazy life. I knew once I was out I would probably never see the light of day again and if my parents had a say in what happened next I could picture them closing up my life in Europe and throwing away the key forever and giving me ultimatums. I just hoped that at the end of all this they would trust me more than they did as they only saw me as a stubborn child still who was always making them question their parenting, and security skills.

Billy had kept his promise as my classes started up again and I was able to sit in on the lectures V.I.A video and it was all secure and safe which was good as I was able to interact with the class. I was involved just as much as I was if I were there in person which surprised the professors including another sub-professor for my law and justice class. Logan, Kelly, and Xander loved their place but were missing me more and more I spent away from them and the rest of our group of friends. “I’m sure the time apart will be great since once I do get back, you’ll get sick of me and wish I’d just go away again. Ha-ha and yes, the baby Giovanni is doing well by all accounts anyways. I’m missing you all just as much so be ready to hit the town when I get back…” I smiled and laughed when they all made it that easy to do. “You know we’ve been seeing Leona around the pub a lot lately since she got back from her vacation and she’s been pretty cool to us. She’s even been dating here and there with men and woman which I’m sure had something to do with whatever you caused” Kelly started making the tsking sounds that she knew I hated. “Oh yes Kelly because I am just a heart-breaking machine and go around doing it all over the country… I just have a sweet, sweet pussy that I give up like cotton candy” I was now dripping sarcasm all the way through.

By the 3rd week doing all the transporting and balancing act on my own and getting stronger the more I worked on my power and its core. Which was the only way I could shield myself as I walked the halls from hospital to funeral home and then to the house of Billy’s grandparents that was still his. I searched through it which took an extra week and just as Christmas was approaching, I made sure that everyone’s presents got to them on time and before the deadline that would make them late for delivery. Billy had been talking more with his sister who was surprised and thought it was a trap until I was able to talk to her. She had even agreed to meet with him in town for coffee, but as the day came Billy was not sure if he could do it especially with it being on Christmas Eve. “Look it’s hard for us both and maybe if you could come with it would not be so hard” his puppy dog eyes did so much to me that I could never say no to him. I thought it was a nice touch but if we wanted to keep under the radar, we needed to keep me hidden. “Not a good idea since I’m supposed to be a prisoner remember and we don’t want anyone seeing me that might recognize me or know something” I informed him, and he agreed.

There were so many things we still needed to work on before opening up a can of ass and bringing down the house of people who we had found that were definitely involved in his parents and grandparents deaths. We even contacted the local police with proof that there was a scam but that there was also death wrapped up in it and along with it came photos and financial statements for everyone involved. I made sure to even use a check written out for the exact amount that was taken from the families that were scammed and it was also waiting with the file that would be dispersed once it all settled in court. My main Christmas present for my father was that of a case that he could win. It was already pretty much in shape and ready to go once he had someone to put on trial which would be that of the killers who killed not only Billy’s parents, putting him in danger and also killing his grandparents. I knew that the papers from the autopsy would prove it along with exhuming the bodies if need be and making sure to keep it out of reach until needed. I had made sure to drop by most nights to see baby Giovanni and Madeline since they were the ones who could really see me and wouldn’t try and get me to stay or cause me more pain to my heart.

Billy left around lunch time to go meet with his sister and prayed it went well promising him I was there in his heart. “Now just put this shit to rest and tell your sister you are sorry for hurting her the way you did… than if she still doesn’t forgive you, you just have to remember it takes time. She’s been afraid of you for a while now and you just need to be patient with her ok? You are both hurting and now that she knows everything and has seen things that only we have… maybe she’d even be willing to help with the case against the ones who put this all into motion and that’s only if my father refuses to do it, or maybe they’ll do it together” I smiled when he kissed my cheek and got into his truck while I stayed behind cleaning things up and getting them ready to be taken to my father’s office. Only if Billy agreed and he trusted me enough and in return would trust I would not let anything happen to him. I used my burner phone and called home knowing that my mother would answer being that time of the day with my father being at the office. “Ribbonowski residence…” “Mother, it’s me… I just wanted to call and tell you that I miss you all and love you. I can’t stay on long but just know I’ll be in touch soon ok” I hung up quickly before she could react. I called my father’s office next knowing it would be harder for them to track there too since I used such a sophisticated burner phone that it would just bounce all over the place.

My father was floored when I had called, but was also businesslike when I dropped the bomb and needing his help. “I will help you… and if that means helping this kid which I have seen the new papers and am happy to report the police have 4 men in custody already. We also have papers signed by a Russian judge to exhume the bodies and have them properly tested for other things then just what the initial doctor did on them after they died. I don’t know how to understand you when you can live with this man for almost a month and a half and trust that he will let you leave and come home. How do you know he’ll even come here to the office and sit down with me?” he asked with skepticism. I knew that no one understood my reasons but me and I was ok with that since I felt closer to him than anyone in his life including his own sister who was afraid of him. “He will be coming in with me once these people are behind bars and he can fight his case in court and prove that he is innocent. I mean he’s innocent in most of them and he’s sick and I will prove it with only the best psycho-therapist that are not his sister” I said before hanging up.

Billy arrived back to the house a couple of hours and not alone he had his sister and a puppy with him in his arms. I opened the door and Billy put the puppy down that ran right into my arms and super lovable. “How did you know….” I asked as I caught the Doberman into my arms. Billy and his sister were holding hands as they walked up, and she was in tears thanking me for helping her brother who was once a sweet little boy and then finally a sweet young man again. “I’m still not sure on how I can help I mean you have the best lawyer in town working on it which is your father, and even though I am rooting for the whole thing to end in his favor… the truth is he is guilty of murders that even though might seem justified there is still that poor girl… your friend Violina” Maureen sighed as she hugged me tight. Billy smiled and took the dog from me as he showed him around the house and the difference between outside and inside and where he could pee and where he should not. “He’s just a puppy and will learn so be gentle like we both know you can” I whispered as I walked Maureen the rest of the way in. She was really nervous and told me just how she felt once we were in the house and settling in. “I’m just not sure if I can trust him completely, but this I guess is a start and well the proof helped a lot too” she admitted as she shakily closed the door behind us.
