Chapter 17
Jose and Nicholas busted through the kitchen door and caught us snuggling close. "Wow... you two look great together..." "Mama Mia me encanta! Baby can you smell it in here?" Jose burst out really loud. I looked at them both giving them my evil look telling them without words to “shut the fuck up.” I gripped on to Catherine tight and in one swift move stood with her in my arms placing her on her feet a second later when my parents came walking through the door. "Ummmm hey you two is it ok if we head down to the beach or do you need us for anything else?" I ask even though I didn't need to. My father Ethan came right up to Catherine and I and smiled giving us both hugs and kisses. "The men are right you two look great together... just be careful with one another's hearts please. You are all so young and have no idea what the future holds. Don't settle unless you know it's exactly what you want!" My father says as he did his best to hold back the tears that started to swell up in his eyes. We all watched as my parents walked out each going off into different directions. My heart was being pulled in two different directions causing the pain to hurt me even more. Nicholas stepped up closer first followed by Jose as they both looked at me for answers and to what I was not sure of yet. "Ugh what is it.... I am not discussing my parents bs, anything else can wait because the sun and water is calling my name!" I laughed as I thought about other things in my head like the dream I had about floating in a hammock in the water.
The hammock wasn't like your normal roped and chain hammock but a cloth one, it had bungee cord like ends that stretched to the noodles used for the water. I had materials in the garage and almost forgot I had 3 people standing in front of me. "Ummm what... sorry was just thinking about something and let us go see if it works..." I finally snapped out of it picking Catherine up and swinging her over my shoulder. Jose and Nicholas followed step for step and tagging one another and even me as I had Catherine over my shoulder. We made it to the garage that held all the play toys and beach things that we had for when guests came over and wanted more of a choice then what I liked. I found the bungee cords and noodles then found the perfect material for the hammock which included old bags that held old parachutes. My best friends couldn't believe what the garage had which wasn't even half of the pile. I got busy working on my idea and another came to mind incase the noodles didn't work. The surfboards looked good but needed something that would be the polls at each end. A second later Sebastian was next to me with old body boards and conduit pipes thin and strong. "Try these..." Sebastian says even though he had no idea what I was doing or making.
10 mins later I had 4 hammocks in 4 different styles. I wasn’t sure if any of them would work or not but was ready to try. Catherine, Jose and Nicholas had been on the ATVs and pretending to drive them. "Aright, alright you like these toys I get it... so how about I take you on a little trip, but first help me take these to the beach on the back of each ATV and then we'll head off" I says as I loaded them up and led the way. I wasn't surprised when Sebastian got on the other ATV and followed us. We dropped the items off at the beach and I took them to my all-time fav place. The tree house was so perfect and made me feel whole whenever I was there. "Welcome to my tree house... and not just any tree house but has everything you need from bathroom and plumbing inside. There are 3 bedrooms too, basically home away from home. The only thing it doesn't have is the view of the ocean as you can see. But my most fav place of all..." I say the last part mostly to myself.
The tree house had been something that made me feel happy and the best memories that I could have ever had as a child. "Hey... it's amazing... can we go in.." Jose asks as he really looked amazed. Nicholas was right there with them as they both could not stop starring and walking around it. Catherine was already 1/2 way up as she took the steps that were different than any staircase you could imagine a tree house to have. My tree house was built 650ft in the air but had some amazing views as there was an observation deck every 150 ft. Jose and Nicholas stopped and looked at everyone with Catherine just wanting to get to the top as quickly as possible. I took the easy way and used the rope that manually took me up just by tugging at it. I had beat them all without them even knowing it and in just a blink of an eye. I now stood waiting at the top of the wrap around deck. Catherine tackled me the moment she reached me and growled because I had cheated. "So not fair... but I guess I'll forgive you this once..." Catherine says as she bit my bottom lip hard and even drawing blood. "Ouch! Damn it Cate I can taste the blood...." I winced even though it really didn't hurt all that bad. I knew her game though because a second later she was kissing me and running her hands all over my half naked body.
After a couple mins I rolled Catherine to her back and held myself up on my forearms. "I know what you're trying to do.... you drive me so crazy that if you are not careful, I’ll end up taking you right here! I am not about to do that when we both know very damn well that I'm not the quietest one of the two of us. I'm thinking that's what you want though... for you to prove to everyone and try and convince me that you're all I need!" I say in a whisper close to her ear before biting her ear lobe. Jose and Nicholas caught us once again and made sounds of only boys did when they were hot and bothered. "Jesus if Nick took me like that, I'd ever be so lucky..." Jose laughed as he stepped over us with Nicholas growling at him. The boys went into the house and froze at the entry way and slowly backed up. "Ummm angel faces... I'm thinking now is not a good time for us to be here!" Nicholas says in a whisper. I slowly got to my feet and entered the house and hearing what sounded like moaning. I knew it was my parents and totally tripped out before using the rope and letting it take me down with my besties right behind me. I couldn't believe what was happening and for a moment thought it might be a good thing. "FUCK....." I screamed as loud as I could before jumping on my ATV and taking off. Sebastian was right there behind me in a flash making me want to play a little as I took him too on a trip around the whole island.
45 mins or so later I was a lot calmer and stopped at the edge of a cliff that had the most amazing spot to do so many things. I jumped off the ATV and got closer to the edge with Sebastian yelling out to me. "MIA..... don't.... please don't it can't be that bad for you to be that close to the edge" Sebastian yelled out again as he got closer. I knew exactly what I wanted and that was to have fun, have my parents really back together and in love again. "Dude chill I'm not stupid...." I said before jumping off the edge a good 100ft up and diving right down into the water. I could not see the look on Sebastian's face but knew it could not be good especially when a 1/2 min later he dove in after me. After he surfaced, I knew he didn't jump because he thought I'd get hurt or be in danger but because he wanted to. "Hmmmm now that's about time... but I don't think you needed to follow me down.. I am for sure that's not in your detail description because if it was you would not have stripped down into your boxers. So I'm thinking you wanted to have just a little bit of fun since you're here having to look after a spoiled little brat well not so little but a daddies girl... anyways hope you found that fun because the climb back up is just as fun" I laughed as I swam to the rocks that were almost like stairs made by God and the earth for however many years they'd been there.
