Book 2: In the Life of Mia: College Chapter 50
We had all done a few rounds and making stupid jokes that had me throwing my head back with a laugh and loving drinking games since I caught on really quick most times. The game was all over the place with the rules changing and by the 4th round I took myself out of the game and went to the counter for a pitcher of water. The bartender handed me the pitcher and then a shot. "From the end of the bar...she's been watching you and your friends all night... she's also a cop so be careful when you leave" he smiled with a wink. I looked down to the end of the bar and put up the shot in a "cheers" motion and she lifted hers too. I threw it back and let it slide down my throats and enjoying the flavor. Back at the table the girls had just finished lining up the next 8 songs with the DJ sex-mania and we headed for the bathroom before they started. I had downed 8 glasses of water quickly with them all watching. 10 mins later we had freshened up and were ready to dance to the next 8 songs making it a contest to see who would last. "You should never go up against someone like me and having this much pent up energy.. I hope none of them include bumping and grinding on someone or something because that's very dangerous... ha-ha experience" I laughed when the girls gasped and looked at one another. "Ha-ha well maybe the couple of songs that are hot and sexual will give you a good umm grind session for the floor and maybe more after" Serenity whispered as she bumped shoulders with all the girls including me before walking out the door. I took a few extra seconds as I felt my phone vibrate in my back pocket and checked it.
The text message was from Catherine asking what the hell was going on. "I called your house and the housekeeper answered stating Sharene moved out and that's all she knew. Then called mom and dad and they told me I needed to talk to you. I tried calling but your mailbox is full and that tells me you are avoiding everyone again for what reason now?" I was feeling the warmth of the liquor doing its job and I hated being angry and having a good buzz going and happy for what it was worth. I texted back and hoped she'd just take it, "Cate things happen people grow apart and I have warned all of you time and time again... she wanted to try it and I felt I deserved to be happy and at least try, but the truth is I can't do it.. I am busy finding out who I am and what I am meant to do... so I'm sorry but right now space is what I need and if she and I reunite some day and if its fate than we will be together. Hope all is well with you and I'll try and call when I can I have a hectic schedule basically until break so bear with me ok. Pass my love to Asher and the guys if you talk to them anytime soon. Love you sweetheart..." tears were filling up in my eyes and it was making it hard to even continue to write. Lola came in when I had been taking a little too long "Hey you..." "Yep fine, take this and give it back when we leave ok! For no reason bother me with the damn messages or calls.." I passed my phone to Leona before exiting the opened door as she held it open.
The first song that came booming out of the speakers was that of Katy Perry "I kissed a girl" and the girls were pointing at me and I joined them on the floor. We were well into the 3rd song with the guys coming and going and a few other groups on and off the floor. I made sure to keep hydrated and since our table was right next to the dance floor, I was able to keep moving while I drank straight from the water pitcher. "Another pitcher of water please" I shouted to the waitress who had brought us rounds of shots. "From Leona at the end of the bar... if you ask me you might as well ask her to join you all.." the waitress laughed. I looked back to my friends and nodded to the bar and they followed my eyes. "The shots are from DC Valdez... umm Leona and ummm ya we've been hanging out here and there.. long story but I am going to have her come hang so just be cool cause she's cool" I warned them as they eyed me funny. I turned and looked at her pointing and then waving and as the next song came on, I was back on the floor. Leona had watched from the sidelines with the guys, but I could tell she was at least making conversation and the guys seemed to be having fun. I kept them in my line of sight as I danced with my group along with a few others who had joined in on our little circle and even a few guys who pretty much had me in a sandwich. Xander seemed to be getting a little jealous as he finally made his way over and moved the two guys when the next song came along and was more of a one on one dance then a dance for more than one person at a time.
Kelly and Abella laughed needing water or drinks and moved to the table. More people had joined the floor as the song had been dripping with sex and promises. Xander held me close and had great confidence considering the height difference and with the roll of his hips I felt the bulge right at my thigh. I got close to his ear just at the right time and whispered "Well that is very impressive, I am glad you decided to come out... and this is very nice..." Xander held me even tighter now causing me to panic a bit, but just did my best to go along with it all. I was happy to not have so much stress on my head and actually enjoying my night. We rolled from one song right into the other with him taking me from one extreme to the next and wasn’t afraid to show everyone what he had. I could feel all eyes on us from our table as most of them were still there drinking and hanging out leaving the rest of us on the floor to do our thing. “You really should think about heading home…you are not making a great scene either just so you know…not to mention the thoughts in these perves minds…” Ethan was all over me trying to convince me to leave even though at the moment I was having a good time and thanks to the conversations, drinks and dancing I was at least not so much in my head, but in the moment with my new friends/acquaintances.
By the 8th song I was sober again and my friends all drunk out of their minds with Xander wanting me to come back to the house with him. "Come on... y-o-u know I like you and you lick me I can see it espe.. that dance..." he slurred his words. I smiled and kissed his cheek, "Just a dance and yes I like you as a friend and right now that's all I can offer.. even if we had sex it would be me using you... and I am trying on to resort back to my old habits... thank you for tonight though it helped me" I smiled touching his arms as I reached out and paid the tab. Everyone tried giving me money, but I just gave it back when we left leaving a good tip for the waitress using parts of their money. "What... the... where the hell is my bike??" I frowned turning to Bailey who gave me a look so fierce I closed my mouth immediately. Lola smiled "We had Paxton and Lexi come and take it back home. Not to worry it's safe and sound back under its tarp and has been washed" she was so proud of herself in that moment and I could not help but laugh. I said bye to all my friends as they walked back to their new house and or drove heading back to their condos. "Ya and you have some explaining to do later Mia..." Serenity pouted pointing to Xander, Logan, and Kelly as she headed along with them for the night. "Ha-ha ok... don't do anything I would..." I yelled out pointing to Xander hoping he would get laid and I knew Serenity had a thing for him.
Leona stayed watching them with me until I turned and was about to get into the back of the trucks opened back door. "Nope you are with me..." she quickly reached out for my arm and Lola's instinct stepped between us. "Lola it's alright it's just a ride back to the house..." I smiled looking at her as I stepped back and closed the door. Leona smiled taking pride in the way Lola did her job and heading off in the direction of her car which was parked behind the truck now. Leona held the door open and I crawled down into the seat hating how low to the ground I was since it was always a challenge getting out of them. I watched as Leona took her time coming around to the driver’s side and I loved watching it all. "Stop it Mia... your just horny..." I scolded myself. Leona didn't say a word when she got in and put the car in gear and went ahead of the truck. I had shifted a little to get comfortable which was hard in bucket seats. "Jesus I hate your car...but anyways it's fast so it'll get us home faster... so should I ask why you felt the need to watch me with my friends when I have plenty of security that gets paid to do that exact thing? Then you order rounds of shots for us until I finally offer you to come over...."
