Sharene cleared her throat but spoke up anyways “No, No, it’s fine…” she smiled touching my leg for all to see. “Yes, just turned 21, have been dancing since I was 3 years old in all types of dance. I’m from Aussie land, I am doing online school for health and fitness right now. I do shows in Vegas, but also in other countries. As for a special person well, I don’t like labeling things, but I’ve had a couple of special people in my young life and now we are good friends. Right now, I’m just taking time to focus on myself and have a good time making friends that last a lifetime and build up opportunity. I have big dreams and I’m going to make sure I do my best to achieve them all before I die one day” Sharene was laying it all out so softly that it made me light up inside and something told me there was more but I wasn’t not about to pry.
Sharene had really made her mark on everyone I could tell by the quietness in the room that she had touched everyone else too. In different ways of course and even causing people to even tear up and have the sniffles. The feeling that hit my chest was something that was something so strong and pulling me even more towards Sharene. Who was looking so confident and beautiful. “Well damn girl you’re doing exactly what I’m trying to do and actually did a lot of AP classes throughout high school. That’s probably why I’ve been accepted in to almost every college not including the ones in Europe that I had thought about going to. So just goes to show us youngster that anything is possible and have something to look ward too. See my lovely’s anything is possible, and I have faith that by summers end we’ll have some idea of where we are going next!” I confessed to my best friends who were close by.
Jose and Nicholas both laughed “Right honey… she has so much faith in us… but I guess now is better than ever to tell her what we’ve decided to do” “Are you for real right now Jose” Nicholas said in a low tone that got my back up. The long pause was killing me “Damn it just, drop the bomb already so I can process it and either freak out or have to take more time to get used to it” I bitched. Nicholas lowered his head and stepped up next to me right between Catherine and I. That told me Catherine already knew. “Well baby doll I head off for basic training in like 3 weeks after being accepted into the Marines thanks to all the hard work and extracurricular activities I’ve been taking behind ya’ll’s back. You know it’s perfect for me since I was on a scholarship just to attend the academy we attended. I inherit my money from my parents passing when I turn 21. I don’t ever take anything for granted and I’m happy that I was so blessed to have met you at our classes and helping me get into the…well that was more your father, but either way you were the one who started the process” Nicholas said as he started to break into tears.
Jose was close behind as he stood holding Nicholas up right before he lost his balance as I was starting to shake a little hearing the words myself. “It’s ok baby…. Mia, and I have you to thank for introducing me to this amazing man. Who has so much love and compassion in his heart and soul that he could let me in as much as he has for what he’s been through. My news is just as body shaking emotional which is harder for us to tell you anyways because of how much you mean to us…. I’ve enlisted as well about a year ago when Nick told me what it had to offer and since we are both scholarship people, I thought it wasn’t a bad idea. We leave the same day for boot camp and just happy to be going to the same place to start out. Then after that it’s anyone’s call… Umm which also brings us both to the next announcement and favor I guess you could say. We were going to ask you first before we ask your parents, we want to get married here while we are all together. It would be the best ending to our summer” Jose was breaking down sobbing. I wanted to stand and take them both in my arms but the moment I moved Sebastian was at my back scolding me.
My friends were so emotional and all I could do was turn in my seat and take them both in my open arms and falling right into one another sobbing more. In turn it had Catherine and me both sobbing as she wrapped her arms around their backs. I pulled back a little so I could see all 3 of them “Hey I love all 3 of you and I know my parents would be thrilled to do whatever they can. I couldn’t imagine a better couple to tie the knot even though we’re only in our late teens. Plus, you know they were high school sweethearts and wow just wow, ok for real no more surprises for me today. 3 weeks doesn’t give us much time to have a bitchen balls to the wall with fun and getting in trouble. Now I have to really get creative and make sure you 2 have a good time. So, I’m thinking we do the ceremony a couple days before you leave and do the honeymoon either with the two of you spending the last two days in the tree house alone. Or you don’t do one at all since being with us is the best honeymoon anyways” I said laughing tired of crying and wanting to lighten up the room again.
