Sharene did not stop me when I headed for the door and opened it just enough to sneak out and stopped looking back at them both. “I’m glad you both are here, I’m heading for a shower and then out for a few. I hope you are still around when I get back and Merry Christmas Eve” I smiled before closing the door. I stayed just outside the door and knew Sharene had walked towards the door and even touched the knob but did not react just stayed and maybe even thought I might come back to her. I went back to my room and quickly showered and dressed for a bike ride hoping that I would not be told “No” since I knew and they knew that I would have a team following me anyways. My mother was just stepping off the elevator when I head towards the elevator door to head out. “Going, somewhere are we? Sharene called up to my room knowing I would be, up with Gio and thought I should come up and ask where you were going” she did not look all to happy when looking at me trying to read my thoughts. “Not to worry I am not going far just heading to see the girls and see what’s new with the place since I’m sure you and their father’s side have been up there while I was away. I also have things arriving today since it’s that time of the year and ordered it all months ago. Now if you’ll excuse me I have places to go and people to see since I’m going to stop up at the gym and see how things are going even though I know since my account balance keeps growing like crazy on a monthly basis” I smiled kissing her cheek and then baby Giovanni’s.
My mother rode down the elevator with me and got off on the floor just below mine as she was in nothing but a robe and breast feeding my brother at 6:55am. “Be good and please be back here for at least lunch will you… you need to get back in the swing of things starting with having your family shower you with love” she smiled kissing my cheek. I smiled back but did not say a word since I knew I could not keep promising people things since half of the time I broke them and it tore me apart. Lola was at the door waiting when I made it down and when she saw what I was wearing she smiled and handed me the keys to my bike and then snapped her fingers to the guy who was at the SUV who got into the driver’s seat as she walked out with me. She walked me all the way to the garage where my bike was. and I rolled it out starting it up and waited for the driver to come to us. Lola got inside once he pulled up and I got onto my bike ready to feel the wind that would drown out everything else. “I won’t get to far ahead and I already programed my plans into the phone and is being synched with your truck as we speak, so please do not worry ok” I begged hoping they would just be cool. I got settle on the bike and before slipping on my gloves I pulled out my other phone once Lola was far enough away and dialed Billy’s number and when he picked up I sighed. “Good to hear your voice sweetheart… I’m heading out to see my girls at the cemetery, what are your plans with your sister today?” I asked hoping it was something good.
Billy sounded a little upset “Well I’m actually out just driving after dropping her off at her car so she could get some space and I didn’t want her to think I was holding her prisoner too. She said she’d see me later but I’m not holding my breath…” “Come meet me at the cemetery if you want, it’ll take me about well no time at all to get there but I can drive slow or fast and give you enough time to get there. I should let you know you have to be blessed before stepping a foot inside the mausoleum so if you are not cool with that I understand” I laughed when he groaned. Billy sounded happy that I was inviting him to come to the cemetery or even calling him at all “I’d love to do that, but isn’t it a little risky since you have got to have a full team tracking your every move by now?” he asked yet was hopeful. I giggled again even though I knew he would not get it and finally answered his hidden question. “Umm well I have two with me and yes my bike is on low jack but as for a full team they are all spread out doing things I asked them to do. There are things about me you don’t exactly know and I’d like to keep that to myself… so all I’m going to say is that I’ll keep you safe as I promised before so it’s your choice to trust me or not” I was now a little more emotional and hung up leaving it up to him to decide.
40 mins later I pulled up to the cemetery and wasn’t surprised to find that the gate was opening since my mother probably made a call since to the caretaker who knew that when it came to my family we were to have access at any time of the day. I had noticed a truck parked up the street and it was that of Billy’s and I stopped getting off the bike just before entering the cemetery. I nodded my head and as the SUV pulled up next to me, I told Lola that Billy was there and that he was not to be touched and she totally panicked and got out of the SUV. “JESUS….. you can’t be seen with him and I should be calling in to the team…” “For fuck sake Lola just give him a fucking chance would you…. trust me if anything please just put the phone down ok…” I begged her and gave her the look that if she did anything, I would make sure that she was done for good. “Hey new guy that goes for you too, take your hand off your gun and put the phone down…” I glared at him as I scolded them both. I waved towards Billy’s truck and he drove up behind the SUV while my security team got out and checked his truck which they found my bike in the back of it and took it out which Billy helped. “Billy sorry for this, but they can’t be too careful and since they work for me and not my father they are not going to do anything rash unless they feel I’m in danger” I promised him knowing that was one promise I could keep and could tell he was nervous.
Billy got closer to me and Lola got in front of him making sure he did not get to close “Billy…. It’s ok just follow us in ok and I have the priest waiting for us at the mausoleum so you can be blessed. That’s only if you really want to do this just be ready ok” I was doing my best to prepare him before getting back on my bike. I wasn’t surprised to see that he had brought JJ along with him since he had been his emotional companion and made things easier for him to deal with especially when it came to being around people who could at any moment strike him dead. “Hi JJ, how is your daddy treating you since Mommy has been gone huh?” I whispered petting him while the priest did a quick blessing even though he knew Billy was a lost soul and had a lot of demons on his back. “Mia are you sure about this?” the father/Priest Jackmere asked. I nodded yes when he asked, and he finally blessed Billy who was shaking the entire time even though I was standing right next to him the whole time. “Ms, the dog will have to wait outside with your security detail I’m sorry” he frowned and left us to it as he stepped back and away from the entrance. I looked at Billy who was as nervous as a little boy “Hey, are you ready to see them because I should warn you that it’s not like any normal mausoleum or um coffins you might have seen before” I faced him face to face before we entered. Billy smiled and touched my face while he looked over at Lola who had her hand on her gun the whole time. “Yes I’m ready…..” he grinned taking my hand tighter and I walked him slowly inside.
Billy sat in the chair closest to the door after finding the whole thing bizarre and hard to look in at them as they just floated around in the coffin. “That is very different and how are they not you know decomposed? I mean it’s very interesting I am just not sure I could have my children like this and come here and see them in this state” he admitted honestly and I like that about him the most. Smiling I looked around the room seeing the new things and the new pictures that had been brought in by Maxwell and his parents along with cards and letters again. I took one of the cards and read it out loud “Hi my girls, daddy is here to say hi and wish you both a Happy Thanksgiving and tell you that I love you even though I do that every night when I am going to sleep. I wanted to tell you I’ve met someone and we are engaged to be married, I was thinking about bringing her here some time, but have to get mothers blessing first…there is other news but I’m going to keep that to myself until the next time I visit and after I talk to your mother. I don’t want her sitting in here reading it first or her parents and them running off to tell her before I can. Daddy loves you so much and I will be back soon –all my love your father.”
