Chapter 107
Giovanni tried to get him to take a message until I looked over at Sebastian who gave me a look that he had better go and answer it. "Ugh hey ummm you might want to take that I have a feeling it might have something to do with me" I said feeling ashamed for a min. Giovanni raised a brow and went to the desk and faced me while he talked and by the looks on his face, I knew I was right. All I could make out was him telling whoever it was on the other line was "OK" before turning around and hanging up the phone. Giovanni refused to tell me what the call was about except that "Yes it had everything to do with you, but we'll talk about that later after I work you over good... you'll be begging me to have mercy on you and won't be able to walk by tomorrow" he said making it almost sexual which hit all my hot sexual buttons. He was right as in working me over, good because after a good hour of it I was begging him in sweat and tears to have mercy on me but wouldn't let me quit yet. "Come on baby you've got this.... you can do this.... I have faith in you that you can so do it" he said as he had me pinned to the mat and was keeping me from moving any more.
I closed my eyes and got in the rhythm with my heart and strength when my brain was telling me I was tired. Finally after finding the strength I flipped Giovanni to his back and pinned him down by the arms with my knees. "DAMN...... MERCY!" he yelled out as I sat on his chest with all my weight. I smiled down at him and finally moved off of him putting out a hand to help him up which he took seeing such pride knowing he was the one who told me to always help another fighter up whether they took the offer or not. Once I had helped him up off the mat, I did my best to catch my breath and not ask him how I had done. I also knew I could not leave without knowing. "How was that.... I'm thinking it was a good start for sure" I said trying to finish catching my breath. Giovanni grabbed the towels off the back of the chair in the corner and tossed one at me followed by a bottle of water that I caught high in the air. "Come on let us take this into my office.... bring that goon of yours since he's as much part of what I have to say next" he said as he headed towards his office.
A second later I called for Sebastian who was still by the front door watching but did not keep me waiting when I called out for him. Sebastian followed me to the back office and Giovanni offered him water as well as a seat in front of his desk. "Well shall I tell her what is going to happen in oh the next 24 hours or so or would you like to tell her?" Giovanni asked looking serious now more than I had ever seen him. After nearly 2 mins of silence I couldn't handle it and burst for the 2 time in so many hours. "WHAT THE HELL IS HE TALKING ABOUT? I'M VERY AWARE THAT THE CALL HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH ME.... SO SOMEONE BETTER START TALKING BEFORE I WALK OUT OF HERE.... AND THEN YOU CAN EXPLAIN TO MY FATHER WHY I NOW...." "FINE..... so I called him after we arrived, he knew you were going to a gym just didn't know which one or who owned it... now he does and knows that it's not the best neighborhood. Also after looking into the gym says he doesn't want to keep you from coming here.. with that said he called and made Giovanni an offer that I can tell he is going to take him up on and that's why we are in here now" Sebastian said with pure calmness.
All I was seeing was red now and I finally turned my attention to Giovanni next wanting to know exactly what kind of offer he was given, and he knew good and well not to mess with me. "Well angel you might be my lucky charm I think... he's updating my security system with all costs on him. He just bought the building next to mine which will now serve for more space for us as a GYM. He's now my partner with 47% ownership, and whatever you want the building next door set up with is your call. SO.... if you want that dream that we were talking about just say the word and it's yours" he said rubbing his hands together. My father always made sure he got something out of a deal when he made one. I was not sure why he wanted to be an owner of a gym and put that aside for the time being. "Hmm well.... what if I just stop coming altogether.... I don't want you losing clients or money on this deal my father offered" I said wanting to see what Giovanni would say or even Sebastian. "Well, it's your call I could take or leave the offer to be honest my clients are faithful and have followed me from one gym to another. You are not going to make or break me, baby girl..." "Ok dude she does have a name.... Mia, Mia is her name... as for the deal it's as much done when you agreed to it... so Mia if you leave your father is still going to go through with this deal. Not to mention he would want you to be part of it. Afterall it's not just for him, but a piece of him, his legacy when he dies.. and now that you are having a little bro or sis coming it's as much for them as for you..." Sebastian said with such a serious tone as he had earlier.
By 9am I was now feeling the workout and needing a good breakfast and shower now that I was starting to smell. Though both guys said they could not smell anything but body wash and deodorant. "Ok well I guess ummm papers are coming your way along with well damn leave the construction shit to me, I'm calling my uncle. Also let me just say he's fucking amazing.... here's his card with all his info and even his website that has all his shit on there" I said pulling out and handing Giovanni Bruce's card. I leaned down and grabbed my cell from my bag wanting to text Bruce before Giovanni called him. "Hey B, wanted to let you know I have possible business coming your way and it's awesome actually. When you get a min call me up if I don't answer I'm driving... but for real need you on this project my father just made a crazy ass deal...." I was halfway out the door saying goodbye to Giovanni when my cell phone rang with Bruce's funny sounds coming through that I had recorded and set for his ringtone.
Sebastian and Giovanni both could not help but laugh as I answered the phone "Hey.... ummm sorry I have two dudes laughing uncontrollably. You called me at a perfect time but it'll be quick. Basically, I just need to know if you are in or not and if so, I'll have Giovanni call you and explain. Then if you can come out here in the next couple of days before mom, dad, and I leave for Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and NYU" I said so fast I was not sure if he heard everything I had said. "Hey calm down slow down..... I'm all yours, sweets just tell me what it is you need... and I'm on the next flight out as we speak already. Your pops already called me about 2 hours ago and is having a company jet pick me up. So, I guess I'll see you sometime this evening since I'm coming from L.A." he said before we hung up.
Once off the line I had a crazy idea as I was so close to the storage place and thought it would be a good idea to go there alone first. Though technically I was never alone whether I liked it or not. "Ok so Gio my uncle is already on his way, so I guess I'll see you tomorrow to introduce you to him unless you wanna come by the house tonight and hang out? I have a few errands to run, or I would stay or even ask if you wanted to come home with me now" I said and watched as both men smiled for many different reasons. Giovanni took me up on my offer to come to the house for dinner and meet my uncle to talk work. "See you both later mama" he said in such a way that got my back up. He of course knew I had, had babies since that's how I met him as his brother in-law was my OBGYN who delivered the girls. Sebastian about lost it again but I shoved him forward towards the SUV "DON'T....." I warned and waited for him to get into the driver's seat before I went to my car. Giovanni gave me a crazy look knowing I'd never told anyone about what happened to me that night. "Don't you either.... don't have time right now... I really need to go but see you tonight" I said not wanting to get into anything else at the moment.
Before hopping in the drivers, seat I did not tell Sebastian where we were going just saying home and wanting him to lead the way. Then realized he had said my car had low jack on it now. "Umm actually if we could ummm I need you to just follow me and please.... please keep it between us, if my father calls and asks where we are just, say breakfast or something...." I begged before we left. "I can't promise that.. but if it's easier for you how about we leave the car here and I take you to whatever errand you have to run?" he asked, and I hopped in the front seat. "Hey Gio, I'll be back in about an hour or so for my baby... make sure it stays safe... or even better here drop it off when you come over tonight" I said tossing him the keys after he had begged me to let him give it a drive. He promised to take care of it and bring it safely home. "You have nothing to worry about it'll be in one piece without a scratch tonight" he said with a smile. I put my phone on the GPS in the SUV and told him to take us to the location and he did not say no or fight me about it.
