Chapter 55
My mother was now on cloud 9 for sure as she had the ideas rolling around in her head already. “OHHH MY GOODNESS yes that would be fantastic, and we have the space, so lets’ get to the planning already. I’m thinking we start tonight, and you at least tell me what day you are thinking of and go from there. Now I’m going to be up, all night thanks a lot” my mother said in a joking tone. I was now ready for my dessert and didn’t want to wait any longer and slowly stood with my father right there to assist. “Where are your crutches anyways….” “Don’t even ask because they are born killers… I tried for like 10 mins and finally tossed them to the floor and made Sebastian carry me over as you saw” I said cutting him off. This time my father picked me up and carried me to the kitchen planting me on the bar stool and pulling open the freezer already knowing exactly what I wanted. “YES….. you are good daddy since I didn’t even have to ask” I laughed joking around with him which in turn made him laugh.
My father shrugged “Well it is what you used to like when you weren’t feeling good and today has been a long stressful day for you so here you go the cure for any bad day” he said grabbing two spoons. I was happy to know that he got me at that moment, and I even made it better when I asked for some Midol from the cabinet. “Ahh now there it is that is one thing I’m very familiar with, in that I have 2 girls in my life that get that flow the exact time of the month” he said making things weird all of a sudden. “Jesus for you to even know that is a little weird pops, so how about we rewind to like 30 seconds ago and start over” I begged with laugh so genuine that it caused everyone to join us a few minutes later. My mother saw the bottle and laughed too before taking the ice cream bowl and taking a seat next to me kissing my cheek before eating. I realized then that we did not have a full house like we had earlier or at least they were not all gathered around everywhere. “So where did everyone disappear to? I mean I guess it’s late, so they are probably all in their rooms all around the house and in the yacht I’m sure” I said feeling a little stupid for asking.
My father smiled and nodded confirming what I had just said “The Capt. didn’t feel comfortable staying in the house, but the other rooms are full, and we all had a great day, I think. As for the rest of you, you can stay here or the last few rooms at the guest house or your own rooms in the yacht you just do what’s right for you” he said giving everyone their own choice to do what they pleased. I was really shocked that Sharene was still around when the night before she had disappeared pretty quickly into her cabin where she stayed all night. After getting a light dessert I was needing my bed again with the pain in my foot really affecting me. “Alright well I need Sebastian to come back in here and take me home so I can get back in bed with the pain in my foot and having a pulse of its own. You are all welcome to come back or stay here with mother while she compiles info from these two and make the best gay wedding ever happen in a few days. My big ass bed is open and avail for anyone who wants to lay and watch TV or a movie” I said hoping that Sharene would take the bait. Sebastian headed in and picked me up after my parents kissed my cheek and said their goodnights before Sebastian took me home. “I know you are probably mad which you have every right to be because I basically led you on and that wasn’t right for me to do” I whispered snuggling into him at the same time looking back behind us. Sebastian still would not say a word even after he dropped me in the bathroom first letting me have a little privacy. When I was ready to get into bed he was nowhere around as I called for him. I got up on one foot and hopped to the sink cleaning up for the night and I could feel someone staring and smiled at the thought Sebastian might be there. I looked up from spitting into the sink and saw Sharene in the mirror smiling a sideways smile and looking like she was trying to figure me out. “Hey there cutie-pie…surprised to see you actually considering you disappeared on me last-night after promising me we’d talk later. No worries though I don’t hold grudges” I winked in her direction.
A few seconds later I went back to freshening up and getting ready for bed when out of nowhere Sharene stepped through the bathroom door and closed it and locked it. It made me stop everything and just hold myself up right using my arms and the sink. I closed my eyes listening to her footsteps which were bare on the marble floor that told me she was getting settled in for the evening. I felt her close in and I stiffened raising my head meeting her eyes in the mirror, she held my gaze as she stepped the last few inches up with now her body pressed against my back. “So… do you mind if I stay… I don’t feel like going back to the yacht and I don’t have any clothes so maybe you could lend me some for the night” she said in a soft whisper. The longer we stood there staring at one another I could feel my body start to get damp in places that were already aching for her since the night before. Even though Sebastian had tamed it to a bearableness that got me through the night and her leaving me.
