Chapter 48
We arrived at IveyRose Island in record time with the water being so calm and my great driving capability and were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Beckerman. “Well, I see that your father was right young lady you are one hell of a Capt. already and drive that Big Girl like she’s a baby. We might need to recruit you some time in the years to come when you are visiting and don’t have an army with you” Mr. Christian Beckerman said with a smile. I let everyone get off the boat first before Sebastian picked me up and carried me off with Mr. Beckerman turning and behind him stood a power chair all decked out. Mrs. Beckerman looked at me and laughed as she knew the look on my face all too well. “See darling I knew she wouldn’t want that damn thing, but hey actually it’s fast and it beats having to be lugged around by…. Well dang maybe he could carry me next now that I can see those muscles” Joellen said with a huge smile on her face.
Sebastian sat me in the power chair and actually it was pretty comfortable, and I didn’t hate it all that much. I took it for a spin up the ramp which I thought for sure it would not be that quick. “WOOOOHOOO yes I love this, how about lets skip the crutches and I use this baby back at the island,.. ha-ha no it would never make it through the grassy area’s I’m planning on going, but of course I don’t plan on walking it either” I laughed as I made it to the top and everyone was running after me. Catherine surprised me as she landed in my lap as she made it to me first and wrapped her arms around my neck. She held on for dear life with her face buried in my neck. “Hey… why didn’t you wake me this morning before leaving the yacht… maybe you would not be hurt now if you did, and don’t worry I won’t tell moms and pops about you and Sebastian….” “Whoa what….. ya please don’t that wouldn’t be good for him or I… but enough about him and I what about you and Asher? You look really good together and he’s a looker all the way around, but how’s he in the sack..” we both laughed and she hugged me even tighter. “Well better than asshole Adam, but not as good as you the first night and ha the first night here” she whispered so soft into my ear that it made things spark everywhere.
Sharene was watching us carefully and I was aware of the look she had on her face one that was trying to figure exactly how close Catherine and I were. I hated that she had to question it, but it was my fault that she was. We all grouped up at the top and Mr. and Mrs. Beckerman and Asher finished leading the way to the next stop. Of course, it was for Doctor Jake Owens to get some supplies until his shipment of items came in within the next week or so. I stayed out front of the medical supply store while Jake and the Beckerman’s took a trip in. “Hey ya’ll don’t have to hang here with handicapped me if you want to head for the tour with Asher or whoever will be taking us. I can meet ya’ll there or shit what am I saying I can come now since it’s not me having to buy that crap and they know where to find us when they are done” I say as I started off heading towards the tour station with Asher close behind.
Asher was quick behind me “Mia wait up girl…. Can we talk a min… I just want to pick your brain for a min” he asked running up behind wanting to talk alone. I laughed and had an idea what he wanted to chat about. “Sure, Ash I’m down…. but if it’s to ask how I feel about you and Catherine again especially after the sex not just last night but I’m sure a few times during the day yesterday and maybe even this morning.. I am still good” I promised with a soft smile. Asher laughed with a little embarrassment I think “Nah not just that, but you know I’m not stupid either and know that she’s only fuckin’ me because she wants what she can’t have. Which we both know is you so is taking what she can get. Not that I don’t mind a good lay and she’s a cool chick, but I also don’t want to spend all my time with her since I’m digging you too. I haven’t had much to time to hang with you or even get close to do so” he confessed softly. I wasn’t sure why everyone saw me as a prize or something that they need to have. To see what it was like or just to put another notch in their belt. I wasn’t sure what to say to Asher at first, but just had to be honest.
Time was running out with everyone getting closer, so I finally looked at him and smiled. “Look I think you are cool, handsome, hot all around…. and I’m not saying that we can’t hang out and get to know one another, but I’m not going to screw up my summer with us all ending up sleeping with one another. That’s one thing you should know about me…. I am not a whore and don’t just sleep around, I’ve had one serious boyfriend and he was my first. We broke up when he went off to college and I needed the break. The next person I was with was just a silly night with a close friend. Then there is Catie who before 3 days ago was just my very best friend from when we were toddlers and my brother died and I really don’t want to screw that up either. I need this summer to be just fun and relaxing because when I go back home and even a little before then that is when everything is going to get really real for me. So just don’t expect more than friendship at this point ok. Who knows if you are here next year, and I am too than we can see where we both are in that time.” I felt like I was breaking his heart when I saw the look on Asher’s face.
