Chapter 144 Save Me
Oliver must have been spanked at some point while growing up; it was unlikely that Ken, being from Golden Valley, where parents almost always spanked their children, would be an exception.
Oliver had also been beaten by strangers, like that time at the barbecue. That incident left a lifelong shadow over him, but ever since he hired bodyguards, he hadn't been beaten again, and he didn't think he ever would be.
Oliver had a very sharp tongue, often cursing at people online and scolding others. Unintentionally but frequently, he humiliated individuals of lower status than him, consequently earning himself numerous adversaries.
But Oliver didn't care at all. Those who had a grudge against him couldn't touch him because he had power and influence. Those who were more powerful and influential than him just saw him as a kid and would go directly to Ken for trouble. Plus, it's a harmonious society in the country.
With strong bodyguards protecting him, Oliver never thought he would get beaten.
But Oliver still got beaten!
There were always unexpected events in this world.
The moment he was beaten, Oliver felt incredibly wronged, and he couldn't even cry!
While he might have been flirtatious by nature, he had absolutely no interest in individuals who were already in relationships; it was considered too risky.
Oliver just spent money under the guise of dating to have sex with women! Who knew this time he miscalculated and got into trouble? Elara was really a bitch; she had a boyfriend but hid it so well, and for money, she had sex with him for three months!
Hiding the fact that she had a boyfriend was one thing, but Elara shouldn't have recorded videos of herself with Oliver. Such malicious intent! If it weren't for that, how would Oliver have gotten beaten and even faced life-threatening danger?
For a moment, Oliver hated Elara to the core!
"This is a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding!" Oliver said tearfully, "I genuinely had no knowledge of Elara's relationship status. She never disclosed it to me, and since you were out of the country, my assistant was unable to gather information about you. Consequently, I ended up dating Elara for a period of time. I didn't do it on purpose! It's not my fault; it's all that bitch's fault! Can't I compensate you?"
Skyview, with legs crossed, sat in the Ferrari with a playful smile, watching Oliver's performance. Interesting, very interesting! Skyview had only seen Oliver showing off everywhere before; when had he ever seen Oliver so pathetic?
Kai looked at Oliver coldly and said, "Is it wrong for someone to have a girlfriend?"
"No," Oliver stammered, frightened by Kai's fierce gaze.
Kai continued, "Is it wrong for someone to love his girlfriend and want to give her a better material life?"
"No," Oliver was at a loss for words.
Kai went on. "Is it wrong for someone to go abroad to train and fight, risking his life to make money for a better future for his girlfriend?"
"No!" Oliver said, "It's my fault! Please forgive me!"
Kai roared, "If he did nothing wrong, then why did you go after his girlfriend? Why did you shatter his dreams of a beautiful love? Just because you have money, right?"
Kai's scolding was heart-wrenching.
His grip tightened.
Oliver's face turned red, and he couldn't breathe.
"Save me! Skyview, save me!" Oliver, out of options, could only pin his hopes on Skyview. "If you save me, I'll owe you a favor!"
"One favor is a bit too little," Skyview smiled and bargained, "How about two favors?"
"Fine, two favors!" Oliver, gasping for air and rolling his eyes, said, "Hurry up, save me! He's really going to kill me!"
Kai coldly said, "No one can save you now! Don't worry, I won't kill you quickly; that would be too easy for you! I'll kill you bit by bit!"
With that, he threw Oliver to the ground and stepped on his face.
Oliver coughed vigorously, exerting his utmost strength, but his attempts proved futile against Kai, an accomplished Muay Thai fighter.
Skyview spoke up, "Your name is Kai, right?"
Kai turned to look at Skyview, displeased, and said, "If you're with Oliver, you can't be a good person either. But I'm here for Oliver today, so you can get lost! I don't have a tendency to harm innocent individuals!"
Skyview said, "I hope you let Oliver go. Why must you kill him?"
Kai coldly replied, "Do you want to stop me?"
Skyview nodded. "Yes, I want to stop you!"
Kai angrily said, "No one can stop me now. If you dare to stop me, I'll kill you too!"
"You value love so much, which shows you're a person of character. Despite your desire to harm Oliver, you have refrained from targeting others or causing harm to innocent individuals, which demonstrates your possession of a moral conscience. You're not a bad person!" Skyview smiled gently. "So you shouldn't kill, or even hit people; these are criminal acts!"
Kai said, "I've already said, the law can't stop me anymore! I'm not afraid!"
