Chapter 222 Harmony Brought Wealth

Kaelen was practically glowing with smugness about his business skills. He was dead set on outshining Erin by the time he hit forty, and he had nothing but contempt for Skyview.

'Skyview's just playing checkers,' Kaelen thought, "He wouldn't last a day in my world. Competing with me? That's financial suicide.'

Skyview laughed mockingly. "Are you for real?" Skyview finally said, shaking his head, still chuckling. "You're barely scraping by with a billion, and I'm sitting on five. You think you can even make a dent? Kaelen, forget business, you should be a comedian. You've got a real talent for it."

"We'll see," Kaelen shot back, his voice tight with anger. "I'll prove myself, in business and in love. Willow belongs with someone powerful, someone like me."

"You're delusional!" Skyview countered, casually slipping his arm around Willow's waist. "Willow isn't a trophy, she's a person. Who she loves is her choice, and it's pretty clear she prefers me."

"Don't be so sure," Kaelen spat. "You'll regret this."

"Kaelen's right!" Nicholas chimed in, backing up his friend. "Skyview doesn't deserve you, Willow. He's all flash and no substance. Once his inheritance runs dry, you'll see his true colors."

Nicholas's faith in Kaelen was rock solid, almost worshipful. Kaelen soaked it up, his arrogance matching Skyview's.

"Nicholas, are you blind?" Skyview sighed, exasperated. "Your judgment is seriously flawed."

"You're finished, Skyview," Nicholas declared. "Once you're penniless, Willow will come back to Kaelen."

"Nicholas, I'm not some gold digger," Willow interjected, her eyes locked on Skyview. "Even if you lost everything, I'd still be by your side."

"See?" Skyview grinned, pulling Willow closer. "She loves me for me, not my money. You're fighting a losing battle, Kaelen."

"I make my own opportunities," Kaelen said coldly.

The air was thick with tension, the argument about to explode. Just then, a figure approached, instantly calming the storm.

It was Erin. She'd clearly overheard the heated exchange, her expression a mix of amusement and disapproval. Her entourage followed, their faces carefully neutral.

Erin was a legend in the business world, a self-made billionaire who commanded respect wherever she went. Her internet company was a powerhouse, and her influence undeniable.

Even Kaelen, Nicholas, and Skyview straightened up, their earlier animosity momentarily forgotten in the presence of such a formidable figure.

"Kaelen, Nicholas, Skyview, Willow," Erin greeted them, her voice calm and measured. "Nice to see you all."

"Erin," Kaelen acknowledged, his tone respectful.

"Hello, Erin," Nicholas and Willow echoed.

Skyview, however, greeted her with a smile. "Erin, it's an honor. You even recognize me, a small fry like myself."

Erin chuckled, nodding to the others before turning back to Skyview. "Mr. Scott, the chairman of the Twin Group is hardly a small fry. Your shared locker project caught my eye, and your recent deal with Oliver was brilliant."

"I’m not that impressive," Skyview said modestly. "Compared to you, I’m just a novice."

"We should discuss that project sometime," Erin said, her tone turning serious. "But first, I couldn't help but overhear yourdisagreement. What seems to be the problem? Maybe I can help."
