Chapter 18: Surprising or Not?
Alice had only focused on retaliating against Skyview but forgot that without Jack present, Alice was no match for Skyview at all.
On top of that, Skyview had suddenly become rich, and his mentality had undergone a drastic change. He was reckless, with a mindset of imminent death; he was about to turn into a beast.
In the past, Skyview would never hit a woman.

As Skyview spoke, he looked at Lily and said, "But Lily, you are young; dying here with me is not worthwhile!"
Lily now felt that Skyview did have some virtues.
Before, Lily thought Skyview was just a lucky guy.
But now, Lily realized that when facing life and death, Skyview was surprisingly calm and brave.
This made Lily appreciate Skyview a bit more.
"We won't die," Lily said. "Jack will!"
'Could it be...' a thought crossed Skyview's mind.
Lily smiled. "Don't say it, there's a surprise!"
Skyview looked toward the truck.
Jack had managed to open the back door of the truck after much effort.
However, what awaited Jack was not the expected money, but a dark gun.
The gun was held in the hand of a middle-aged man.
Behind the middle-aged man were more than ten young people, each holding a gun.
These guns were all aimed at Jack and his associates.
The middle-aged man smiled at Jack. "How about that? Surprised?"
Jack remained silent.
Ten billion in cash turned out to be a group of armed men. Now that was quite a surprise!

Jack did have guns, but he only had two, and it was too late to draw them now.
Jack didn't dare to move.
"Who are you?" Jack's voice trembled as he asked.
The middle-aged man said, "Ever heard of the Crimson Shadows?"
Jack's face turned pale.
The Crimson Shadows, once on par with the Midnight Ravens, was a major gang.
Although they were not as strong as before, they were still not people that Jack could afford to provoke.
If the opponent was the Crimson Shadows, Jack knew his fate was sealed.
"The Crimson Shadows! Jesus. We are very sorry for what we have done; please spare us," Jack said with a bitter smile. "We made a huge mistake!"
"Drop all your weapons and kneel!" the middle-aged man ordered.
Jack and his men could only obediently discard their weapons and kneel on the ground.
The scene was so earth-shattering that it stirred Skyview's emotions.
"So, everything went according to plan!" Skyview chuckled. "Lily, it seems I underestimated your intelligence."
Lily gave Skyview a withering glance.
Alice looked down sadly, her hopes completely shattered.
Jack surrendered, leaving her with no options!
Just a moment ago, Alice was thinking about how to make Skyview suffer after they got the ten billion, but now it was all over!
Alice was utterly despondent.
"Alice, Jack surrendered. What about you?" Skyview asked.
"Skyview, please forgive me!" Alice pleaded, kneeling in front of Skyview, tears streaming down her face. "I was forced to do all this! It was Jack who forced me, and I had no choice!"
"Enough with the tears, useless fool!" Skyview commanded. "Alice, put my shoes back on for me!"
Alice, holding back her tears, meticulously helped Skyview put on his shoes.
Alice now truly dared not be enemies with Skyview, only hoping that Skyview would be magnanimous and forgive her malicious actions.
Alice did not want to end up in jail.
Skyview and Lily walked toward the factory.
"David Jones, thank you," Lily said to the middle-aged man.
"Haha, Lily, it was no trouble," David said. "We're family, there's no need for thanks!"
Seeing this scene, Skyview had a guess.
Skyview assumed that Lily had an interesting background!
These people were efficient in their actions, coordinated, armed, and claimed to be from the Crimson Shadows.
For Lily to be able to call upon such people, it wasn't just about money; she must have strong connections.
'Willow's brother drives a Rolls-Royce and Lily has connections with the Crimson Shadows. All the women around me are all remarkable!' Skyview thought to himself.
As he pondered, Skyview loudly said to David and the others, "Everyone, thank you very much. You are so gallant; I must show gratitude for your actions.
