Chapter 173 Renegotiation

Oliver and Skyview were now a united front. Hilda was a common enemy they had to outmaneuver. It was a familiar dynamic, the intricate dance of alliances and rivalries within their exclusive social circle.

The world of the ultra-wealthy might seem vast from the outside, but within those gilded cages, everyone knew everyone else's secrets, their triumphs, and their humiliations. The alliances were not just alliances but a web of intricate connections, and the rivalries were not just rivalries but a battlefield of complex emotions and strategies.

Hilda's initial encounter with Oliver had been marked by mutual disdain. Hilda saw him as a spoiled playboy, destined to squander his family's fortune. Oliver, in turn, viewed Hilda as arrogant and hypocritical, a social climber punching above his weight.

The animosity had escalated quickly, fueled by snide remarks at exclusive gatherings and thinly veiled insults on social media. Hilda, never one to back down from a challenge, had taken a jab at Oliver on Twitter, a calculated move he knew would reach his ears. Oliver, predictably, had retaliated with a string of furious tweets, their feud spilling into the public domain.

Their rivalry had intensified when Oliver launched LiveWave, a direct competitor to Shark Live. Oliver, driven by a potent cocktail of ambition and a burning desire to prove himself, had set his sights on dethroning Hilda. However, Shark Live's success had only served to fuel Oliver's resentment, making him even more determined to see Hilda fall.

Skyview, with his keen eye for opportunity and a heart as cold as steel, recognized a kindred spirit in Oliver's ruthlessness. He had found the perfect weapon to wield against Hilda. Oliver, fueled by vengeance and a thirst for victory, would be relentless in his pursuit of Shark Live's destruction, a pawn in Skyview's game of power and control.

"This place is impressive," Oliver commented, his gaze sweeping across Skyview's lavish villa, "but it lacks a certain...ambiance."

"What could it possibly be missing?" Skyview asked, amused by Oliver's discerning eye.

"People," Oliver stated simply. "Specifically, female companionship."

Skyview laughed, recognizing the familiar glint in Oliver's eyes. "You always have your priorities straight."

"Tonight, I'm crashing at your place. Tomorrow, I've got negotiations with Penguin Company. I gotta have a lady by my side, you know how it is." Oliver explained.

"It's a bit late to be arranging such things," Skyview pointed out, though his tone suggested he was open to persuasion. "And I doubt you'd be satisfied with just anyone."

Oliver chuckled. "You may have me beat in the business world, old friend, but when it comes to certain... pursuits, I'm afraid you're out of your depth."

"Enlighten me. What is it?"

Oliver responded, "Life experiences. When it comes to playing the field with women, you've got me beat by a mile."

"Alright, you win," Skyviewhe conceded with a laugh.Although Skyview wasn't a virgin, having only been in a relationship with Alice and getting betrayed, compared to Oliver's experiences, he indeed lacked in this "worldly wisdom"!

"I recently acquired a rather...talented...girl group from NeoSeou," Oliver revealed, his voice laced with a hint of mischief. "They're quite popular, known for their...energetic performances."

The lives of the ultra-wealthy were often shrouded in an almost surreal extravagance; their desires were indulged to an extent unimaginable to ordinary people.

"Well, don't let me stop you," Skyview said, leaning back with a knowing smile. "Let's see what these NeoSeou girls are capable of."

Oliver, with a mischievous glint in his eyes, made a quick call. Within minutes, a procession of sleek black cars arrived at the villa, disgorging a group of eight young women. They were all strikingly beautiful, their appearances carefully crafted, each possessing a unique allure.

The night was long, fueled by expensive champagne and reckless abandon, a hedonistic prelude to the battle that lay ahead.

The next morning, at the luxurious Luminance Peak resort, the negotiations resumed. The atmosphere was thick with tension. This time, it was a three-way dance, with Penguin Company caught between Shark Live and LiveWave, each vying for their favor.

Oliver, arriving late, sauntered into the meeting room with an air of nonchalance, his eyes bloodshot but his demeanor confident. He slouched in his chair, his attention seemingly more focused on the mobile game on his phone than the negotiations at hand. Skyview, looking worse for wear after the previous night's excesses, simply slumped back in his chair, his eyes closed.

Hilda, in stark contrast, was the epitome of professionalism. His suit was impeccably tailored, his hair perfectly styled, his expression serious and alert. He regarded Oliver and Skyview with thinly veiled disgust, their behavior confirming his low opinion of them. They were nothing more than entitled brats, coasting on their family's wealth, yet somehow, they were deemed worthy of sitting across from him, negotiating for the future of his company. He conveniently ignored the fact that he, too, had benefited from his family's connections and that his own path to success had been paved with privilege.

Benjamin, seated at the head of the table, observed the trio with an unreadable expression. "Let's begin," he announced, his tone brooking no argument. The battle for Penguin Company's favor had begun.
