Chapter 201 A Harsh Slap in the Face

A chilling glint flickered in Suzanne's eyes.

She might not be able to kill anyone in Golden Valley, but that didn't mean she couldn't inflict pain.

And inflict pain she did.

With a speed that belied her size, she moved through the assembled guards like a whirlwind. Each strike was swift, precise, and brutally effective.

In the blink of an eye, every single guard, Ulysses included, lay groaning on the ground, clutching at various injured body parts. None were getting up anytime soon.

The onlookers stared in stunned silence, fear etched on their faces.

Suzanne's power was indeed terrifying.

"Well done, Suzanne," Skyview said, flashing her a thumbs-up. "That fortune I'm paying you? Worth every penny."

"You've made a lot of smart business decisions, Mr. Scott," Suzanne replied, her voice devoid of emotion. "But hiring me? That was your best move yet."

Skyview chuckled, "You are the best, Suzanne. Keep up the good work."

He turned his attention to the whimpering Ulysses, grinding his heel into the man's face.

"Ulysses, right?" he asked, his voice dangerously low. Ulysses cried out in pain, but Skyview ignored him. "I pay you to keep this company safe, and this is how you do your job?"

"Using my money and sucking up to Yosef? You think this is some two-bit operation you can push around?"

"You're nothing but a glorified rent-a-thug, Ulysses. A waste of space."

"You're all fired, effective immediately."

"Get out of my sight. The Twin Group has no need for your kind."

And with that, he spat on Ulysses' face, a final gesture of contempt.

"Who the hell do you think you are?" Ulysses sputtered, struggling to speak through the pain. "You can't fire me! Do you have any idea who I am? I'll have you know..."

Skyview slammed his foot down again, silencing Ulysses mid-sentence.

"Lily," he said, his voice cold. "Tell him who I am."

Lily stepped forward, her eyes blazing with righteous anger. "This is Skyview Scott, Chairman of the Twin Group," she announced, her voice ringing with authority. "A billionaire, and your boss."

"What? The Chairman?"

"He's the Chairman?"

"That billionaire who inherited all that money?"

"We're doomed! We messed with the Chairman!"

The fallen guards erupted in panicked whispers, their faces pale with fear.

Yosef and Ms. Reyes exchanged panicked glances.

"Don't worry." Yosef muttered, trying to reassure himself as much as Ms. Reyes. "The Davis family told me this new Chairman is just a figurehead, a puppet for Hekka. We have nothing to worry about. The Davis family will protect us."

Ms. Reyes, however, remained silent, feeling restless.

Skyview stepped forward, looking down at the pathetic figure of Ulysses with disdain. "Now you know who I am," he said coldly. "A billionaire. Remember that."

Ulysses, cowed, could only whimper in response.

He might be a thug, but even he understood the power a billionaire wielded.

Skyview, seeing that Ulysses had learned his lesson, turned his attention to Yosef.

"Chairman... I... I can explain," Yosef stammered, forcing a nervous smile. "This is all a big misunderstanding."

He might try to downplay it, but Skyview was the Chairman, the ultimate authority within the Twin Group, which terrified him.

Skyview didn't say a word but simply slapped Yosef hard in the face.

"You... You hit me?" Yosef sputtered, his hand flying to his stinging cheek.

Skyview slapped him again, again, and again.

"What's the matter?" he asked, his voice dangerously quiet. "Does it matter to hit you?"

"Don't go too far," Yosef snarled, his fear giving way to anger. "I'm John Davis' man."

Skyview slapped him four more times, his hand a blur of motion.

"Willow is my woman," he said, his voice icy. "Yet you harassed her. You should be thanking whatever deity you pray to that I won't kill you right here, right now."

"I'm John Davis' man!" Yosef screamed, spitting blood. "You hit me, you hit John Davis! He will know!"

Skyview responded with another series of brutal slaps.

Yosef's nose burst, blood splattering across the floor. One of his teeth flew from his mouth, joining the growing pool of blood. If he was hideous before, he was a monster now.

"John Davis, John Davis, John Davis!" Yosef sobbed, tears streaming down his battered face. "He won't let you get away! The Davis family won't let you get away!"

"John Davis?" Skyview scoffed. "I wipe my ass with John Davis. The Davis family is nothing to me. You crossed the wrong line, Yosef, and you're going to pay."

"Mr. Scott," a smooth, dangerous voice interrupted. "While I understand your anger, beating a company employee is a bit excessive, don't you think?"
