Chapter 73 A Loan of 100 Million Dollars

The reason why Michael came to apologize was somewhat clear to Skyview. Not long ago, Skyview had applied for another loan from Heavencrest Bank. Due to the large amount, the application was directly forwarded to Heavencrest Bank's headquarters and caught the attention of Erin Thompson, a major shareholder.

Erin even took some time out of her busy schedule to call Skyview and discuss the matter for about ten minutes. In the end, Erin promised to give Skyview a commitment soon.

In fact, Erin, the head of the ApexTech Group, was a capital tycoon who often chatted and laughed with presidents of various countries. He was indeed a big shot.

Erin's net worth was around ten billion dollars, but her influence was much stronger than that of the common rich, especially in the financial sector.

Because Skyview was Erin's important business partner, Michael naturally understood that Skyview was someone he couldn't afford to offend.

His coming over to apologize was something beyond imagination.

"I sincerely apologize to you. Heavencrest Bank has always been a good partner with Lakeview Express. I intended to let you repay the loan whenever you wanted. But I can't believe this would happen. It's all Emily's fault; she acted on her own and urged you to repay the loan. I am truly sorry!" As a leader, Michael's first thought in the face of responsibility was to find a scapegoat, and it seemed he decided to sacrifice Emily.

Emily immediately put on a distressed face and said, "I, I didn't..."

Michael glared at Emily fiercely and said coldly, "Do you dare say you didn't act on your own?"

Emily, under Michael's fierce gaze, instantly understood that her entire future was in Michael's hands. If she took the blame, she might get some compensation, but if she refused, she would be fired.

Understanding the stakes, Emily sighed and decided to take the blame honestly.

"It was my decision to urge the repayment," Emily said, biting her lip.

"Do you know you were wrong?" Michael asked sternly.

"I know!" Emily admitted. "I know I was wrong!"

"Then you are demoted to assistant manager," Michael said harshly.

Emily breathed a sigh of relief. A demotion was fine to her.

She could only blame herself for being too foolish. She shouldn't have been incited by the Davis family to impulsively offend Skyview!

"Okay, I accept it," Emily said, lowering her head.

After dealing with Emily, Michael looked at Skyview eagerly and smiled. "Mr. Scott, like I told you, this was entirely Emily's decision. I have already punished her. Are you satisfied?"

"Emily asking me to repay the loan is normal. There's nothing wrong with that!" Skyview said righteously. "It's just that Emily's service attitude was a bit poor. She needs more training to understand that the customer is always right!"

"Absolutely! I will definitely strengthen the training for our employees!" Michael said.

Skyview looked at Michael with a pleased expression and said, "Michael, you have a good grasp of the situation! Well, I shall forgive you then!"

Skyview also understood who was behind the whole thing. His enemy was always the Davis family, and the people at Skycrest Corporation were just tools used by the Davis family. It would be unwise for him to argue with others.

"Thank you, thank you!" Michael looked at Skyview gratefully and said with relief, "You are truly a magnanimous person!"

Skyview said seriously, "Although I am a man of both good looks and talent, you don't need to praise me excessively. In fact, I am also a humble person. Well, you didn't come all this way just to apologize, did you?"

Michael fell silent.

Michael then realized why Skyview could even attract Erin's attention. Skyview was a very observant person.

"Here's the thing. After reviewing your previous loan application, our senior management has decided to approve it!" Michael said cautiously.

"And after a collective decision by our senior management, Heavencrest Bank has decided to provide Lakeview Express with a low-interest loan of 100 million dollars! Moreover, if you need more loans in the future, our interest rate will only be one percentage point higher than this low-interest loan. What do you say?"

Michael's words shocked everyone present.

'A 100-million-dollar loan!'

'And a low-interest loan at that!'

'And they are practically begging Skyview to take the loan!'

'Has Heavencrest Bank gone mad?'

The board members were dumbfounded and speechless.

John and Hilda exchanged glances, both showing astonishment.

"What's so special about Lakeview Express that Heavencrest Bank values it so highly?"

"This is practically begging Skyview to take their money!"

"What did Skyview do? Banks aren't doing charities. They wouldn't give money away so easily."

Everyone was discussing, confused.

They had no idea what had happened.

'Could it be that the senior management of Heavencrest Bank has all lost their minds?'

'That is hardly possible.'

The board members couldn't help but make a guess and look at Skyview. They originally thought Skyview was just an ordinary young man who had inherited a large fortune by luck. But now, in their eyes, this ordinary young man suddenly seemed unfathomable.

"Alright, I'll take the 100 million dollar loan!" Skyview needed funds for development anyway, and what he valued was not just the 100 million dollars but Erin.

If Skyview could collaborate with Erin on the project, it could quickly expand nationwide and achieve a dominant position.
