Chapter 76 Invite Him to a Meal
The noisy board meeting finally ended. Skyview retained his position as chairman and significantly solidified it.

Skyview was very pleased with himself!

"Mr. Scott, please wait!" Just as Skyview was about to leave to have fun, someone called out to him.
Skyview turned around and found that it was Mr. Brooks.
The moment he saw Mr. Brooks, his thoughts of indulgence suddenly disappeared.
Skyview was very familiar with the power players within the Twin Group. After all, his goal was to truly inherit the Twin Group and make it bigger and stronger!
Skyview was nominally the leader in the Twin Group, but in reality, it was Hekka. Hekka held Dylan's will. With her help and his qualifications and abilities, Skyview could hold real power in the Twin Group!

The number two leader in the Twin Group was John.

The two of them chatted and laughed all the way. Soon, they arrived at Clearlake Manor.
Clearlake Manor was a great place for leisure, dining, and tourism.
"These are the most famous crabs, very delicious," Mason introduced the dishes to Skyview. "Mr. Scott, why don't you try them and see if they suit your taste!"
"The crabs are good, but Mr. Brooks, you probably have another purpose for inviting me to this meal, don't you?" Skyview said while gnawing on a crab leg.
Mason said, "You are indeed very smart! Actually, I am inviting you here to show my support! From now on, I am on your side. At first, I thought you were just a lucky guy and a nouveau riche, but after seeing your tactics at the board meeting today, I realized you are very capable! In my opinion, you are more than qualified to be the chairman!"
Mason flattered Skyview.
But Skyview was not swayed by Mason's words.
'If a person you have never interacted with suddenly expresses support for you, there must be something fishy,' thought Skyview.
"Mr. Brooks, we are all smart people, so let’s get straight to the point!" Skyview said calmly, "There is no hatred or love without reason. You suddenly want to support me. There must be a reason."
"Alright, you are indeed straightforward. In that case, I'll be honest!" Mason said, "Mr. Scott, do you think I can be the chairman?"
Skyview shook his head and said, "No!"
Mason asked, "Why not?"
Skyview replied, "To be the chairman, you need to have a large power base of your own. Although you are the number three leader in the Twin Group, you don't have such power. In contrast, the Davis family holds such power that is qualified to compete with me. Everything you have basically comes from the Twin Group. If you want to climb to the chairman's position, even if I agree, John will be the first to disagree!"
