Chapter 178 Low Price Advantage

"You're quite something," Benjamin said, a wry smile on his face. "Always using our Penguin Company as an example, and doing it so effectively. You leave me with no room to argue."

"There's no need to argue, Benjamin. You just need to know that I've already initiated crisis management." Hilda's voice was confident. "The 'Boring' incident may seem serious, but as long as we assert it was a marketing strategy, it becomes a non-issue."

"Alright, you've almost convinced me," Benjamin admitted. "But compared to Oliver, your advantage isn't significant enough. The Cascade Group backing Oliver and the Twin Group behind Mr. Scott are very appealing to Penguin Company."

"I have a considerable advantage," Hilda countered.

"And what would that be?" Benjamin asked, intrigued.

"Price," Hilda stated simply.

"Price?"

"800 million dollars," Hilda announced. "Twenty-five percent of the shares for 800 million. Even if Penguin Company sells those shares at cost, you make a clean 200 million profit. Their LiveWave, in every aspect, is inferior to Shark Live, yet they have the audacity to ask for 1 billion, while I only ask for 800 million! The choice is yours, Benjamin."

"You've got guts," Benjamin exclaimed, looking at Hilda in surprise. "Giving up 200 million in profit just like that. Impressive!"

"It's nothing," Hilda replied calmly. "We can't be fixated on small profits."

Benjamin fell into deep thought.

Skyview turned to Oliver with a smirk. "Looks like Hilda's pulling out all the stops."

Oliver scoffed. "He doesn't realize this negotiation is meaningless. The real battle is elsewhere."

"Indeed, we have our own preparations," Skyview agreed.

Overhearing their hushed exchange, Hilda felt a prickle of unease.

After a while, Benjamin's contemplation came to an end.

"I've made my decision," he announced. "I'm leaning towards acquiring Shark Live, with a 60% inclination, and LiveWave at 40%. However," he added, looking at Skyview and Oliver, "if you're willing to lower your price, we can still cooperate."

"One billion, not a penny less," Oliver stated firmly. "Don't ask me why, because I'm arrogant."

"Anything less than a billion is a loss, and I don't lose," Skyview added.

Benjamin shrugged. "Then it's a pity. I hereby announce Penguin Company's intention to cooperate with Shark Live!"

Despite his usual composure, Hilda couldn't contain his excitement. He pumped his fist in the air. "We won! We won!"

"Congratulations, Hilda! We defeated LiveWave!"

"Shark Live, number one in the world!"

Hilda's subordinates erupted in cheers, surrounding their boss with congratulations.

At that moment, Hilda felt like he was on top of the world.

Benjamin could understand Hilda's elation,

Penguin Company was a giant in the internet industry. Partnering with them was a dream for many companies.

This collaboration with Penguin Company promised a bright future, so Hilda's excitement was understandable.

However, the calmness of Oliver and Skyview struck Benjamin as odd.

When the negotiation failed, they shouldn't be so unfazed, even if they weren't dejected.

They were acting as if nothing had happened.

"You should have asked for 600 million," Benjamin said, a hint of regret in his voice. "I would have bought from you without hesitation."

"Don't worry," Oliver said with a knowing smile. "You will buy LiveWave for 1 billion."

"You're certainly confident," Benjamin remarked, shaking his head.

Hilda, unable to resist the urge to gloat, approached Oliver. Looking down at Oliver with disdain, he said, "Benjamin, that's not confidence, it's foolishness! Weren't you quite arrogant before, Oliver? What now? A fool exposed? You even wanted me to kneel and beg?"

"Are you looking for a death wish?" Oliver snarled, fury radiating off him. "Do you really think you've won? I'll make you regret this."

Mistaking Oliver's anger for sour grapes, Hilda ignored Oliver and turned his attention to Skyview, his expression smug.

"What are you looking at?" Skyview asked, his lip curling in disdain. "Never seen me before?"

"I just wanted to tell you, Skyview, you're a loser!" Hilda declared.

"Really?" Skyview's voice remained calm.

"Don't play coy," Hilda scoffed. "It's the truth. You're a failure! Last time, with the Lakeview Express incident, you got lucky because I wasn't prepared. You managed to salvage the situation and escape.

"You should have kept a low profile after that, but you dared to interfere with my project! You even teamed up with a loser like Oliver to challenge my Shark Live, and yet, even together, you couldn't defeat me!

"Now, Shark Live is about to partner with Penguin Company. I am the victor, the undisputed winner, while you and Oliver are nothing but losers, utterly crushed! You should be ashamed of yourselves!

"What qualifications do you have to inherit the Twin Group, Skyview? Your luck has run out! This failure is a sign of your downfall. The Twin Group will have no place for you. You crossed me, and I won't let you forget it. I will make you suffer!

"You pathetic loser!"

With that final insult, Hilda turned on his heel, intending to leave with the air of a triumphant conqueror.
