Skyview being the chairman of the Twin Group wasn't exactly a secret; a quick search would tell the folks everything.
"Skyview, the chairman of the Twin Group? Only twenty-two and worth fifty billion dollars? Man, talk about hitting the jackpot!"
"A trust fund baby, huh? No wonder he's so flashy."
"Yeah, when people who've been broke suddenly get rich, they tend to go on crazy spending sprees."
"Overnight billionaire! Fifty billion in assets just like that? That's some insane luck!"
Once folks figured out who he was, the room buzzed with whispers. Most people could only sigh, feeling envious of Skyview's luck while they felt stuck in their own misfortune.
No matter how he got his millions or how he became the chairman, Skyview was now a legit millionaire and the head of a major group.
As the crowd chatted, Skyview made a beeline for Willow.
'So, it's you, Skyview! I never saw you as competition! And now you're trying to steal my girl! You started this! If you wanna go head-to-head, bring it on.' Kaelen watched Skyview approach with cold eyes, a murderous intent brewing inside him.
But Kaelen didn't just want Skyview dead; he wanted to see him fall from grace and end up broke again. At that moment, Kaelen decided Skyview was his enemy and planned to use every trick in the book to take him down.
Skyview, on the other hand, was full of himself, completely ignoring Kaelen. He walked straight up to Willow, not even glancing at Nicholas and Kaelen, and smiled at her. "Willow, sorry to keep you waiting. Good thing I'm not too late."
"I wasn't waiting for you," Willow said with a haughty tone. "Don't get any ideas. Being late for a date with me is just unacceptable."
"My bad!" Skyview chuckled. "Don't punish me here; we can settle this at home!" He suddenly grabbed Willow's hand, pulling her close, and whispered, "But tonight, you're my date, and I'm a jealous guy; I can't stand seeing you with other men."
Even though she found Skyview's tone a bit much, she forced a smile to get away from Kaelen and said, "Fine, but you're way too jealous!"
Their public display of affection made Kaelen furious. Nicholas also looked pissed, snapping, "Who the hell are you? Let go of Willow's hand, now!"
Nicholas had met Skyview once before and thought he was just some regular guy. He never imagined that a few days later, Skyview would be all cozy with Willow. It was too much!
This marriage was crucial for both the Link Family and the Darkmoon Family. He couldn't let this Skyview guy mess it up.
"Nicholas, I'm Skyview." Skyview's shamelessness was off the charts. Even though he saw the disgust on Nicholas's face, he didn't care. Holding Willow's delicate hand, he said, "As you can see, I'm dating Willow. It's normal for young couples to hold hands. Why are you so surprised, Nicholas?"
"This is harassment!" Nicholas snapped, fuming. He had set up this Brighter Futures Ball to match Willow with Kaelen. Skyview's sudden appearance and his closeness with Willow weren't just provocations; they were outright disruptions.
"Harassment?" Skyview looked innocent. "Why do you say that? Willow, am I harassing you?"
"Well, since you're my boyfriend, that behavior couldn’t be considered harassment." Willow laughed. "Nicholas, Skyview is my boyfriend. Please don't interfere in matters between me and my boyfriend."
"You!" Nicholas was livid. "You're driving me mad! Who allowed you to date Skyview? Willow, you disappoint me so much. You have no taste!"
"Nicholas, stop talking nonsense. A relationship is a mutual choice. As long as Willow and I like each other, it has nothing to do with anyone else. Please leave us alone, because I have a desire to kiss my girlfriend," Skyview said seriously, then glanced at Kaelen. "And a man as excellent as me is very rare; Willow does have good taste!"
Skyview shamelessly boasted about himself, and Nicholas and Kaelen were left speechless.
"Skyview, right? I've heard your name." Kaelen snorted, glaring at Skyview. "From your words, you seem a bit arrogant."
"So what? What does it have to do with you? Who are you?" Skyview shot back.
Kaelen said coldly. "I am Kaelen, the son-in-law chosen by the Link Family. In her parents' eyes, Willow would be my fiancée soon. And you, you're holding my fiancée's hand. Are you out of your mind?"
Kaelen was truly furious now. He had only one thought about Skyview—he needed to go down.
