Chapter 296 Very Swift
When Skyview and Kaelen finally agreed on something, the board meeting that had put Skyview in a tough spot wrapped up. Kaelen didn't waste any time; he took Bridgette straight to check out Stellar Gaming Studios.
Kaelen knew his way around the internet business, and gaming companies were part of that world, so he felt pretty confident. With his money, the backing of ApexTech Group, and his global connections, he figured Stellar Gaming Studios had a real shot at success.
He wasn't dreaming that Stellar Gaming Studios would become the top gaming company, but he was sure that with his know-how, he could make it pretty awesome in no time.
On the way back to the office, Hekka sighed and said, "This time, Kaelen and John came prepared. We were too passive and let them lead us completely."
Skyview declared, "It doesn't matter. If I win all three tests, it'll be like I've beaten Kaelen. In this world, whether you're cocky or humble, if you show your strength, everyone will recognize you." He said it with rock-solid confidence.
When real talent showed up, everything else just faded away. Skyview knew that proving his skills would earn him big respect from the Twin Group's board, even if he was young and bold. If his skills were better than Kaelen's, it wouldn't matter how experienced or connected Kaelen was; he'd still lose. Especially when talent and money came together, creating miracles was effortless.
"But FutureTech Games focuses on single-player games. I don't think it has as much potential as Stellar Gaming Studios," Hekka said, frowning. "It'll be tough to compete with Kaelen."
Skyview shot back with pride, "Under my visionary leadership, FutureTech Games is bound to rise. That's just how I roll!"
The more Hekka looked at Skyview, the more she wanted to punch him. She said irritably, "Your skills might be lacking, but the Twin Group has deep pockets. With their money and your efforts, you've got a lot of power, don’t you?"
"Exactly!" Skyview laughed. "Honestly, I think FutureTech Games has more promise than Stellar Gaming Studios."
Hekka asked, "What do you mean?"
Skyview replied, "Frederick Miller is a man of passion!"
Hekka rolled her eyes. "Yeah, well, if passion alone got the job done, why would we need actual skill?"
"Stellar Gaming Studios has enough funds to stay afloat, but after so many failures, they've given up on innovation," Skyview said seriously. "On the other hand, FutureTech Games losing a lot of employees is actually a good thing."
Hekka raised an eyebrow. "How is losing employees a good thing?"
Skyview responded quietly, "The ones who stayed with FutureTech Games are the real talents. The weak-willed and the uncommitted have already left. So, those remaining are the true elites. And with my encouragement, these elites can truly rise!"
"Interesting point." Hekka laughed. "I didn't expect you to be so optimistic."
Skyview said, "Go notify FutureTech Games. I'm heading there today. I've rested enough; now it's time to show my strength!" His eyes gleamed with ambition.
In the afternoon, Skyview arrived at FutureTech Games. Kaelen had already taken action, so Skyview couldn't lag behind.
FutureTech Games didn't own its property; it rented the twenty-ninth floor of the Berlin Peak Tower. Originally, FutureTech Games was on the fourth floor, but to save costs, it had to move to the twenty-ninth floor because the rent there was dirt cheap. As for the original fourth floor, it had been turned into a buffet restaurant.
The company had fallen that far. So, after finding a parking spot, Skyview and his team didn't expect any formal welcome and made their way directly into the Berlin Peak Tower. They took the elevator up to the twenty-ninth floor.
Several bodyguards surrounded Skyview, not out of arrogance, but for his protection. Naturally, Skyview had to shell out some extra cash to ensure his overall security.
Even though he had Suzanne to protect him, she was still only human with her own stuff to handle. Relying solely on her for protection would be unreasonable. So hiring other bodyguards to help Suzanne was necessary.
Looking at the old elevator, Skyview felt a bit worried. Riding in such an old elevator was pretty scary. "How miserable!" Skyview lamented, "This FutureTech Games is almost no different from a shell company!"
