"What are you talking about?" Benjamin asked, his brow furrowed in confusion.
"Lily, turn on the television broadcast on my laptop," Skyview instructed, a triumphant glint in his eye. "And open the relevant program."
Lily obeyed, her fingers dancing across the keyboard. The familiar melody of the program filled the room as it began.
The episode focused on cracking down on illegal activities within the online live streaming industry.
"In recent years, with the rise of the internet industry, internet live streaming..." the presenter began, his voice echoing through the room.
The program started by showcasing the chaos and disorder plaguing the industry. Then, the tone shifted, and the presenter began criticizing two streamers by name: Lucas and Tyler.
"According to Golden Valley's internet live streaming management regulations, streamers Lucas and mcTyler are hereby banned from all platforms.
"Furthermore, over ten platforms found in violation of regulations will be suspended, including Shark Live, which will undergo a three-month rectification period."
The program ended with the official announcement, leaving a stunned silence in its wake.
Skyview gestured, and Lily closed the laptop.
Hilda felt a wave of nausea wash over him.
He finally realized this was utter defeat. A three-month suspension was a death sentence for Shark Live. On the other hand, it gave LiveWave the perfect opportunity to swoop in and dominate the market.
Benjamin finally recovered from his shock and turned to Skyview and Oliver, his voice laced with awe and fear. "Your plan... it was flawless. Hilda must be reeling."
"Don't give us too much credit, Benjamin," Skyview said modestly. "We simply played our cards right. This was all inevitable."
Oliver chuckled. "Just a bit of luck on our side, that's all."
"Skyview!" Hilda roared, his voice raw with fury. He lunged at Skyview, his eyes blazing with murderous rage. "This is your doing! You orchestrated this whole thing! You're driving me to ruin!"
Driven to the brink by this final, crushing blow, Hilda had snapped. He wanted Skyview's blood.
Skyview's methods were ruthless. He hadn't killed Hilda outright but had instead subjected him to a slow, agonizing torture. Every time a glimmer of hope emerged, Skyview snuffed it out, leaving Hilda drowning in despair.
"Suzanne, restrain him," Skyview said calmly, his voice betraying no fear.
With Suzanne at his side, Skyview felt invincible.
