Chapter 300 Trouble Was Coming

Skyview was this young millionaire in his twenties, used to getting whatever he wanted. Naturally, a guy like that was full of confidence. Sometimes, too much confidence. He'd often stick his nose in other people's business without really knowing what he was doing. If Skyview started messing with Mystery Island, all of Frederick's hard work could go down the drain.

In that case, Frederick would rather the company stay independent. He'd even sell his house in Golden Isle City and brace for the worst.

"You're acting like I'm gonna be that clueless product manager you mentioned—someone who doesn't know how to handle skilled pros and just wastes everyone's time," Skyview said, picking up on Frederick's worries. He added, a bit annoyed, "Rest assured. Things are gonna get way better with me in charge. Just look at your company now: you've got a talented graphic designer, modeler, sound engineer, and writer all in one person, and she's stuck working as the receptionist. And you? Running around like a janitor. Seriously, your place looks like a homeless shelter!"

Frederick felt a pang of shame hearing Skyview's harsh words about FutureTech Games' situation. Skyview didn't hold back, "Just follow my lead, and I'll help you bounce back. As for Mystery Island, I won't mess with it. I'll even throw some money your way, though I don't think it'll succeed anyway!"

Hearing this, Frederick's confidence took a hit. If he were a millionaire, he could just walk out, start a new company with his team. But he still needed the Twin Group, so he couldn't just fight their decisions. Plus, Skyview had money. Passion was great, but money talked, and everyone wanted more of it.

"Alright," Frederick said after a moment, forcing a smile. "I figured the head office would step in eventually. You showing up isn't the worst thing; it might even be a good chance. It's better than what I was expecting."

Skyview got up. "Frederick, don't look so down like I'm forcing you. Time's ticking. I'm gonna tell the team my plans and pump some cash into the company right now. We gotta get moving!" His impatience was clear.

Skyview didn't have time to waste on a small game company. He wanted to control all the companies under the Twin Group.

"You can't do this!"

"There's a problem here!"

"Get out of my way." Just then, the sounds of a heated argument came from outside. It sounded chaotic, like it was over something trivial.

"What's going on out there?" Skyview frowned. "Is someone causing trouble?"

Frederick sighed. "It's probably Isaac Hill again. He's been giving us a hard time for a while now."

Skyview looked curious. "Who's this Isaac? And why's he messing with you guys? How dare he?"

Frederick started to explain briefly.
