Chapter 160 Recommending Yourself

Skyview, flanked by sharply dressed bodyguards and his ever-present assistant, radiated an aura of power that silenced the room. Even Hilda, with his inflated ego, couldn't help but feel a prickle of unease.

He had an air of distinction about him, so even if he barged in uninvited, no one dared to criticize.

Skyview's gaze swept over the assembled executives, finally settling on Hilda. "Well, well," he said, a sardonic smile playing on his lips. "Look who we have here. I'm here on important business, Hilda. Run along now, before you catch something."

Hilda's face flushed crimson. "Skyview," he spat, slamming his hand on the table, "don't push your luck."

"I'm not the one pushing anything," Skyview shot back, his voice laced with amusement. "Unless, of course, you're volunteering to be pushed out of this room."

Hilda bristled, every instinct screaming at him to retaliate. But the sight of Skyview's imposing entourage, and the cool confidence in Suzanne's eyes, gave him pause.

"I won't lower myself to your level," Hilda said, forcing a veneer of calm over his simmering rage.

"Oh, I know you want to," Skyview said, his smile widening. "But you haven't got the guts." He turned his attention to Benjamin, his demeanor shifting effortlessly from mocking to charming. "You must be Benjamin. It's a pleasure."

Benjamin, a seasoned veteran of the business world, recognized a power player when he saw one. Skyview's entrance and Hilda's obvious discomfort spoke volumes. He rose to his feet, extending a hand.

"And you are?"

"Allow me to introduce Mr. Scott," Lily interjected, her voice carefully neutral. "Chairman of the Twin Group."

The name hung in the air, silencing any lingering doubts.

Everyone knew the Twin Group was a behemoth, a sprawling conglomerate with fingers in countless pies. Their chairman was not someone one kept waiting for.

"Chairman Scott," Benjamin said, his tone respectful, "this is an unexpected honor. Your reputation precedes you."

The chairman of the Twin Group, being a prominent figure in the business world, naturally held a higher status than the managers at Shark. So, Benjamin immediately took Skyview seriously.

Hilda felt a surge of resentment.

He realized that no matter how hard he worked on Shark Livestream, he was still just a minor player.

Meanwhile, Skyview, solely with the title of chairman of the Twin Group, effortlessly ascended to the position of a leader in the business world.

Hilda's ambition for the chairman's position grew even stronger in his heart.

"The honor is all mine," Skyview said, shaking Benjamin's hand. "Penguin Company is a shining example of innovation and social responsibility. Your CEO, Adam, is a personal hero of mine. His motto, 'Creating Joy with Heart,' resonates deeply with me. I wonder when can I see him in person."

"I'll be sure to pass on your regards," Benjamin said, a flicker of amusement in his eyes. "But I must confess, Mr. Scott, your presence here is… intriguing. What brings you to our humble branch?"

"Call me Skyview," he said, his smile disarming. "And please, think of me as a salesman here to make you an offer you can't refuse."

Benjamin raised an eyebrow. "An offer? I'm intrigued. Please, do tell."

Skyview said, "You must know LiveWave, right?"

Benjamin replied, "That is created by Ken's son, Oliver. It developed quite well in the past couple of years, of course I know about it."

"I'm here representing LiveWave," Skyview said, dropping the bombshell with casual ease. "I recently became a shareholder, and we're eager to explore a partnership with Penguin Company. Your reach in the digital sphere is unparalleled, and we believe that together, we can dominate the live streaming market."

Benjamin hid his surprise behind a carefully neutral expression. So, this was a power play. Skyview, for reasons of his own, wanted to pit himself against Hilda and Shark Streaming. And Benjamin, who had grown increasingly frustrated with Hilda's arrogance, was more than happy to let them fight for his attention.

"LiveWave is a strong contender," Benjamin said, choosing his words carefully. "We've been impressed with their growth."

"Then you understand why this partnership makes perfect sense," Skyview said, pressing his advantage. "Oliver, LiveWave's founder, is on board with this. He recognizes the value of aligning himself with a powerhouse like Penguin Company."

"Mr. Scott, you seem to be quite well-informed!" Benjamin said with feigned admiration, "LiveWave is also a formidable player in the livestreaming industry. At Penguin Company, we truly appreciate your platform. Since you've recommended yourself, Mr. Scott, I wouldn't dare refuse! Currently, we are in bilateral negotiations with Shark Livestream. I'll take the lead and propose that you join us in these discussions. How does that sound?"

"Wouldn't want to be wasting our time, would we?" Skyview chuckled.

"Of course not!" Benjamin replied, with thoughts of using Skyview to put pressure on Hilda, though his face remained earnest.

"Then I'm reassured!" Skyview pulled up a chair and sat down. "Now, representing LiveWave, I'm also joining the negotiations!"
