Chapter 156
In my office, Grace sat on my lap, and I didn't hide anything, telling her about the current issues I was facing.
After all, since she would come over, she needed to know about the company's situation.
"How is it? The company is not fully equipped yet. Are you still coming?"
I joked, "If you want to leave now, you still have time."
She gave me a playful look. "What do you take me for? You flirt with me and now want to drive me away?"
"How could I bear to let you go? If you leave, who will help me manage the team?"
I smiled, "However, although the company still has many problems, when it comes to projects, you don't need to worry. I guarantee that you will be occupied at that time."
"Did you secretly get a project?"
"Not really."
I said, "But I can negotiate, and then it can be under your name."
"You promise?."
"I promise."
"But let me make it clear. Your projects can only be under my name. If they end up under other women's name, the consequences may be terrible."
I sighed and handed Grace a stack of resumes. "These are all confirmed hires. Take a look, and you will find that you're the most beautiful among them."
She flipped through them one by one, a slight smile appearing on her face.
"I bet you want to be another boss, or to be exact, my wife, don't you?"
"That's exactly what I'm thinking."
I was sweating profusely, as it turned out I guessed right.
"Well. But you must know we can't show too much affection in front of others, okay?"
Grace nodded, looking at me with a suggestive gaze. "Don't worry. I understand. We'll only be passionate in private."
Her tender hands intentionally teased me, finally resting on my genitalia.
I took a deep breath. "If you keep this up, I won't be polite to you."
"How impolite can you be?"
She licked her lips.
"I'll feed you cat food!"
She gave me a playful look and then knelt down.
"Go lock the office door."
This time, I enjoyed the joy of being a boss. The happiness of being a boss was truly beyond imagination.
Playing with her on the boss's chair was an indescribable delight.
It was completely different from the feeling at the Hosen Restaurant. In this office, there was no need to worry about others finding out, or someone suddenly barging in.
I could admire the scenery outside while being pleased.
Grace was content, and so was I.
Afterward, she blushed and said, "It's the third time."
I replied, "There will be many more times in the future!"
Opening the windows for ventilation, she said, "Are there any interviews this afternoon? I want to interview them personally."
"You're diving into work so quickly?"
"Exactly. You could leave at any time. If you leave, what's the point of me staying in Skyliho?"
"There should be over ten people coming for interviews this afternoon. You can choose and make notes, and if everything's fine, I'll have them start working tomorrow!"
Fortunately, Grace was dressed very professionally. If she were like before, I would have been a bit worried.
While she conducted interviews, I went to the eighteenth floor. There was a law firm here.
Moreover, the entire floor was occupied by law firms, numbering no less than ten.
I chose the most beautiful receptionist at one of the law firms and went in. The receptionist was very passionate. "Sir, do you have an appointment?"
"No, I want to sue someone and find a lawyer here to help me."
Upon hearing this, the receptionist became even more enthusiastic and brought out a booklet. "These are the lawyers in our law firm. You can choose one, and I can help you make an appointment in advance."
"Do I need an appointment? This is too troublesome. I'm in a hurry and want to settle this matter quickly!"
"I'm sorry, sir. The lawyers in our firm are very busy, as each of them has many cases to handle."
"Are there any less busy ones?"
"What?"
The receptionist was taken aback, and I realized I had misspoken.
The busier the lawyer, the more capable he was, and the higher his success rate in lawsuits.
Conversely, a lawyer with free time would likely to be less competent.
Just then, a weak voice came from behind me. "Sir, I can take on your case!"
I turned around and saw a young woman in her twenties with black-framed glasses, dressed professionally, standing there. Her face was slightly red from nervousness or shyness.
I furrowed my brows. "Is she a lawyer at your firm?"
The receptionist said, "Yes, but she's an intern lawyer!"
An intern lawyer?
I thought to myself, 'Is she kidding me'?
I didn't know if she was capable or not, but I definitely couldn't wait for an appointment. I had already said that I would sue Philip, so it needed to be done soon.
"Never mind. I'll go check out another place!"
As I was about to leave, the female intern lawyer stepped forward to stop me. "Sir, may I have a few minutes to know the case? If you think I'm not suitable, you can leave then."
I thought, 'Well, since I'm here, it's not bad to consult her.'
"Do you have a certificate?"
"I do. I just got it the day before yesterday. If you don't believe me, you can come to my office."
"Let's go take a look then."
The female intern lawyer's eyes lit up. "Follow me."
Although it was called an office, it was actually a tiny room, with just enough space for a desk, two chairs, not even a sofa, and the space was cramped.
I suddenly felt a bit regretful.
"Sir, let me introduce myself. My name is Savannah Lee. You can call me Savannah."
Sitting in the office, Savannah seemed much less timid, and she took out her lawyer's qualification certificate from a drawer. I took a look, and it seemed genuine.
"My name is John Cena."
"Alright. Mr. Cena, can you briefly explain the case?"
I nodded and recounted the situation. After thinking for a moment, she smiled and said, "Okay. I can take on this case, and I'm sure we can win."
"I know we can win. I just want to know if we can get him jailed."
"As for this, I need to see the evidence specifically. If he has seriously infringed on your personal rights, he may face up to three years in prison, or he may get detention, control, deprivation of political rights, and so on."
"I have chat records."
I opened the company group chat and handed my phone to her. "Scroll down. They're all there!"
She looked through them and then said, "The evidence is substantial. His remarks have seriously insulted you, harmed your reputation, and maliciously spread false information, infringing on your right to privacy."
I nodded. "Just tell me, how long could he be sentenced if I sue him?"
Savannah said, "If he is willing to apologize and compensate, would you consider settling?"
"No."
Savannah thought for a moment. "At least a year, and not only that, he would have to apologize and compensate for mental damages."
"If I entrust it to you, how long will it take to settle it?"
"Seven to ten days. If he countersues, it might need a bit more time. But with the substantial evidence in this case, there's basically no chance of a reversal."
